I'll start this out saying I gave this dealership the benefit of the doubt, I read the good and the bad reviews, know people that have bought cars from here, but this has to be The most unorganized dealership I've ever experienced and I'm thankful my deal was returned by the finance company due to the inability to provide a car they technically sold me two weeks prior. I originally made plans to go look at one vehicle and they sold that as I'm on the way from work (10 minutes away) to test drive it after being in contact with a salesman continuously about it. First come first serve, whatever. I settled on my second option unfortunately. They will rush you through the paper work, charge you a different price than the online price, not provide CARFAX unless you specifically ask, sell you a car that supposedly needs a simple fix, that you would assume they would be able to do before you leave, but no it has to go to the manufacturers dealership. The bright side I guess is They let me keep and drive my trade in while they have it posted for sale on their website. After a week they say the car I bought was ready, then the same day I get a call saying it's not ready, now they have it back and it's just getting rear tires put on. Back and forth then it needs something else, But can't tell you anything because the service manager is sick or some crap. I had been in contact with the finance company the whole time and they knew I hadn't taken delivery of the vehicle, after two weeks I reached out to them again to let them know they still haven't provided the vehicle and they agreed to cancel and return the deal. Fast forward another week, so three weeks later I get a call from the dealer saying the car is back at the manufacturer dealership the part has finally come in and the car should be ready... I happily informed them the deal was returned by the finance company and I want nothing else to do with them. I had a pretty great experience purchasing from HoneyCar. I recently purchase a Tesla Model X and Jason Vazquez was my salesman. He worked in my favor but the management was strict with pricing. We were able to work out some details with fixing paid and the rear wing to bring the car to the value it was being quoted for. I opted for having the car delivered as they will deliver the car within a 100 mile radius. I will say I wasn't aware that delivery means that it will be driven to me versus on a bed and dropped off. I never leave bad reviews and it's painful for me to do so. I always like to see all the sides in a situation. While we did have a sweet experience during the day we purchased our vehicle, it stopped there. The check engine light appeared on our trip home and per their policy, we initiated a return of the vehicle as it was well within the 3 day period to do so. We were assured a repair would be made and offered a loaner car. Fast forward 5 months and 5 car payments later we still had no solution and no car. The only attempts at real solutions initiated were when we spoke to the owner of the dealership. Note to all, review every line before signing for your loan and have everything promised in writing, preferably email. **we were promised a call back yesterday or today regarding our situation and still no call back. Despite receiving an apology, the subsequent stages of the process evolved into a nightmarish sequence of challenges. Notably, on a Saturday, we were informed that our bank statements, showcasing deposits, could substitute for pay stubs, and the vehicle would be delivered promptly. However, this commitment was swiftly revoked. Despite a combined annual income exceeding $100k, substantiated by comprehensive documentation, we encountered persistent roadblocks. The sales manager, April, went so far as to question my honesty, overlooking the unintentional nature of a minor error, a simple miscalculation in employment duration. I put 4 months for my fiancée instead of 3 months and 28 days. All of this despite having bank statements to back everything up. What I will say, is that the initial sales person, Justin, was great and I had absolutely no issues with him whatsoever. I bought a car from them a couple months ago and it's been awful ever since. We had an issue almost immediately and when we took it in to be looked at they said they couldn't find anything. Then the issue happened again and I took it back and they said they couldn't find anything. So I took it to a third party who found two separate issues to fix. So I had HoneyCar fix those issues (cause it was still in the warranty period). But my original issue still persisted. So I took my car to yet another third party and they said they couldn't even look at the original issue because when HoneyCar "fixed" my car they actually broke two things that will now cost me 4k to fix. Now I'm in the middle of trying to talk to HoneyCar to pay for repairs but I feel like they're dodging me. I purchased a truck less than a year ago along with the extended warranty. The engine dropped a camshaft. I was told initially that this is a common problem for this truck. It has now been three weeks and the warranty company is still jerking me around on fixing the truck. Now they want records of all the maintenance of the truck, since I bought it, after telling me the engine was being sent for replacement. Once they sell you the moon and have your money, your on your own. They will outright lie in order to get the sale and then treat you like garbage if you need them to address anything they promised. If you buy the extended warranty from them, they'll take your money, but never follow through with the filing. So your left with a warranty that is invalid and not accessible. Total rip off and shady how they lure you in knowing they are scamming you. I cosigned for my daughter even though she had almost excellent credit but became the buyer. Didn't know they had a free three month warranty so she was going to do the warranty they offer excluding the gap insurance along with trading her car in..Comes back and a 11,000 dollar car is now 18,000 n they added the gap insurance she didn't want. Thought that was the final price but no that wasn't even including the interest. Total price was 27,000 dollars on a 11,000 dollar car..She declined and my husband won a gift card for shooting the ball in the hoop and they asked for the gift card back..Of coarse she declined and they didn't even have the car ready to take off the lot said it would be another weak or so.. Funny they told her at least you are not buying a 30,000 dollar car well she might as well have cz a 16,000 dollar mark up..Thanks for ruining my daughter's first experience at a used car lot and a hit on our credit for no reason.. There's a a lot of cars there that aren't what they seem when we was there they had a PDR Paint less dent Repair tech working on a vehicle! The cars we test drove smells like sex or down right shit. Very unfair appraisal of $750 bucks for a 2012 running and Driving car with very little flaws. The second they got outta the parking lot I heard them just start ripping on our car we had the appraisal done on. They clam 15 minutes for the appraisal it's more like an hour and 15 minutes. We test drove 3 or 4 cars before we got a number on the trade. I'm very disappointed with the dealer ship and I would choose any of the Malloy Dealerships in Winchester actually matter of factor I'd go to any other dealer ship besides honey car. 90% of the cars pics on the website are edited to make it look better then it is. Jennifer offered a me 11k for my vehicle and then dropped their offer to 10k. They contacted me. I wasted time to go there. They were told of the good and bad. Even bought new tires to add value. Then got low balled. General manager Lee also got in on the lie by talking to me on phone trying to say offer was only good for 24 hrs and he was sure his buyer said that. Never was mentioned. Since it's not exactly local, we really appreciated their willingness to work directly with a nearby Mazda dealer to perform a prepurchase inspection and have an electronic repair done. Kathy was excellent to work with, and I really appreciate the no-pressure approach. Similar to CarMax, but more competitive prices. No BS fees thrown in, and they didn't push their financing or warranty options too hard. Even after buying, they followed up promptly to make sure we got our permanent tags from the MVA before the temp tags expired. Great experience. read more

My wife purchased a Ford Bronco Sport from HoneyCar in Winchester. Carfax report said there was one accident with "minor cosmetic damage" which had apparently been taken care of as their was no sign of any wreck. HoneyCar does their own inspections and explained to my wife that they do rigorous inspections on all vehicles. So after a few weeks she began to notice some pulling to the right so we got an alignment and it did not seem to help the issue. We then had our usual mechanic take a look at it and they eventually determined that it had been in a serious accident as the steering knuckle was bent and needed replaced, along with other necessary repairs. 30 day warranty had run out but they tried to claim that the damage was done by us, which you can tell is not the case just by looking at it. We wanted them to cover the parts or the labor, considering the repairs came to almost $2000 but they refused to help at all. On top of that, they were very rude to my wife as well. read more

Out of State buyers beware. My experience purchasing a vehicle from a different state was a nightmare. TLDR: Honeycar's shipper would promise arrival times and then ghost me for days (this happened multiple times) and told me working with my lender wouldn't be an issue (it was). Car took almost 6 weeks to get to me after the paperwork was signed. Manager ignored multiple of my emails asking for help. I was told they sold cars out of state all the time with no issues and that they would work with my lender. An issue with paperwork came up between honeycar and my lender, I was told by AJ they would call my lender and sort it out no problem. The calls never happened. I had to force conference calls multiple times to get honeycar to talk to my lender at which point they said they couldn't work with them (I'm sure they have a great excuse why but the point is I was told it wouldn't be an issue and they would sort it, neither of those things were true). At this point I should have walked away but the car I was purchasing was hard to find so I had to convince my lender myself to do the paperwork the way Honeycar wanted it done (apparently things are done differently in some other states then VA, for some reason this was a shocker to a dealer that 'sold cars out of state all the time with no issues'). Then, Honeycar's shipper just disappeared for a few days with my car. The website for the shipping company looked fake and calls for days for their 'front desk' would go unanswered. I have messages saying my car would show up at a certain time, would take off work to accommodate, then the shipper would just not show up or answer calls. This happened not once but MULTIPLE TIMES. Absolutely infuriating. Honeycar had no answers, the shipper they picked would tell them it was coming then ghost them as well. After over a week of the car being late the shipper broke down a few hours from my house (I only found out after calling the drivers phone number I had 20ish times like a psycho after they didn't show up to my house for the third promised time). I emailed Doula (the honeycar manager) asking for any shipping paperwork and break on shipping after the nightmare I went through with their shipper, that email went unanswered. After taking weeks for my car to arrive, three days after driving it a bunch of dash lights came on and I had to take it in (ended up not being a big deal) but I emailed Doula again asking for help. I'm still waiting on that email to be answered as well. I do have to give one thank you to Koryn for being the only person there to consistently at least answer my calls and emails and attempting to help, albeit there wasn't much she could do. read more

Needless to say, that was a lie. Now they required thousands down with no promise of shipping the vehicle and it's a shame because the vehicle they had that I wanted was hard to find. I came in to sell my car. We had an agreement on a price, date, and time. I showed up to my appointment 45 minutes early. I notified a salesman that I was there and I had questions about a truck. He told me he would be right with me. We waited 40 minutes and he never returned so we then walked back in and he was sitting at a table on his phone joking with another employee. Someone else then approached us and said someone would be right with us. 20 minutes later someone came out to us and took my ID and said they would be back in 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later no one came so we walked back in. Another lady came up to us and never introduced herself nor apologized for the wait. She was extremely rude, pushy, and seemed to rush when explaining paperwork. She then proceeded to show me the paperwork and told me to sign and then demanded a payout. This was never communicated with me and I wasted almost 3 hours there.
