1 Star I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Car-Fi Auto Group on February 7, 2026. My salesperson was Al. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst vehicle purchases I have ever made. Immediately after leaving the dealership and getting onto the interstate to drive home, the check engine light came on. The vehicle also produced a large amount of white smoke from the exhaust for about 30 seconds, which concerned me about the condition of the engine. I contacted the dealership and brought the Jeep back. The owner turned off the check engine light, but the light came back on less than a week later. The underlying problem was clearly not fixed. Less than a month and a half after purchasing the vehicle, the starter failed. Since then, the Jeep has been sitting in a repair shop while I have been fighting with the warranty company over major engine problems. The issues have become so serious that an entire engine replacement is being discussed. As of June 17, 2026, I am still dealing with the aftermath of this purchase. Instead of enjoying the vehicle I paid for, I've spent months dealing with breakdowns, repairs, warranty claims, and the stress of not having a reliable vehicle. I understand that used vehicles can develop problems, but a check engine light coming on immediately after purchase, the vehicle smoking from the exhaust, the light returning after being cleared, and major mechanical failures within weeks of purchase are not what I expected. The vehicles they sell will look great , wash them once then you get to see all the spots that they covered. They sell cars that other reputable dealers would not touch. Please avoid if you want to get a car that you can rely on and professionalism from the car salesman read more

I would unfortunately have to give this Auto Group and the man that helped me buy a car 1 star... BUYER BEWARE!!! I am not the type of guy to buy a truck out of state unseen, but I found myself in that situation. Al was my eyes, and trust me. I asked him to give me every detail he could about the truck before I paid for it and had it shipped. They used photoshop like crazy in every picture... they lied about the condition of the truck... the interior was no where near as nice as the photos depicted... and my #1 question about the truck was HOW WAS THE FRAME RUST?! It was very bad!! They just spray painted it and sent me pics fooling me. I would not buy a vehicle from them again EVEN IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!! You have been warned!! Plus, I bought the truck over a month ago and they never even contacted me to see if I was satisfied and never said thanks for doing business with them. Slimy business etiquette if you ask me. Went to look at a older Toyota being led to believe everything was in working order. When I went to take it on the highway during our test drive, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON! There were also a number of other problems with the interior and the frame that he did not mention before I arrived. Typical used car salesman, all they do is lie. read more

During the test drive, the transmission was slipping and sounded like it was starting to go. Someone who doesn't know how to recognize these problems could easy be taken advantage by these guys. Al is a crook. He blatantly lied about the condition of the truck I came to look at. The frame was completely rotted out. He did a good job at only showing certain parts of the frame that were still intact in the photos he sent me. Glad I came to see it before purchasing! Will not be returning. read more

On 05/16/25, I spoke with Al at Car-Fi of Winchester about a car they had that I was interested in. After being assured by Al that it'd be refundable, I made a deposit on the vehicle. A few days later, I decided to not proceed with getting the vehicle so I reached back out to Al to get my refund. From there, it has been excuse after excuse to not return my deposit to me, even though Al explicitly said it'd be refundable. I have asked for contact information of the owner and Al refuses to give that to me, too. Now, Al is ignoring all my texts and messages. He lied and they are refusing to return my $500 refundable deposit, even though the car has already been sold. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. "Al" is a terrible salesman. He claims he owns the place along with his buddies but then lies and says he's a salesman. My bud took his car here and they absolutely made the check engine light come on just because we found out they HID ENGINE LIGHT CODES on their Infiniti they have on their lot. They make it seem like these vehicles are in good condition just to attract people but in all honesty they sell pieces of sh*ts. I'm completely unsure if there is a way to give "zero" stars and still have the review show up, so I will leave one to ensure it posts. "BUYER BEWARE,"! I wish I'd read reviews on this dealership prior to us making a purchase, as it seems they display the same level of poor business with many of their customers! We purchased a Cadillac Escalade from this dealership "Car-Fi" Auto Group, Winchester, VA November 7, 2024, along with a warranty, which covered the repair of the engine and transmission should they go bad. Since this was a used car dealership, and this is basically the bones of the vehicle, we thought it wise to purchase this additional layer of security. The salesman, "Al" (unsure of last name) explained this, and touted it as a great product and that if either of these main vehicle components went bad, within the warranty timeframe (which was 90 days or 3000 miles, the warranty would cover the full replacement of either part). Well, the engine light came on very shortly after having the car, less than a week. Instead of calling the dealership, since we had purchased a warranty, we immediately contacted the mechanic, had extensive diagnostics done, and indeed the motor is BAD. NO big deal...right??? We purchased the warranty which covers this right? "WRONG"!!!!!! When the dealership called the warranty company to begin the work, they were informed that the warranty only covered $1000.00-YES....ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Anyone in their right mind knows that an engine repair is more than this. Though we did read the fine print, THIS WAS NOT OBVIOUS AT ALL, VAGUE AND NOT CLEARLY STATED!! We will be contacting the BBB, and counsel under the "Lemon Law". With the immediate engine light coming on, and the issues found, there is no way, that even sold "as is" that the dealership was not aware of the issues with the car and was intentionally misleading in their efforts to sell cars which are faulty and even greater, engage in misleading, misguided sales of vehicles and warranties to customers. We called to ask for the details of the warranty, which he didn't give all of the pages of when there (ONLY PAGE) with additional fine print--Essentially, he intentionally lied and misled us by sharing only ONE page! As a consumer, there was no way for us to know he hadn't shared ALL of the pages to the warranty. We are not going to allow this dealership to get away with this bad business and false promises that it makes to consumers. We as consumers work hard for what we have and patronize businesses with the expectation that they engage in credible and forthright, honest practices. In an effort to, as business owners ourselves, allow the opportunity for this dealership to make this right, we will attempt one contact. But swift and immediate next steps are to, in addition to making a BBB claim, will be to seek legal counsel under the Lemon Law of Virginia in addition to seeking support through outside legal support. We hope this review will encourage this dealership to engage in business practices that exemplify a higher quality standards, ethics, morals, respect and care for their customers as well becoming a better dealership OR reconsidering if they have the core values that should be in business at all. They sold me my car with a completely rotted frame! I thought I finally found the car ive been wanting. They let me look under it to find that there was some rust to be expected seeing as the car is from 2007. The rest of the frame had been undercoated. After 9 months I went to get the undercoat freshened up and they found a few holes. So I went and had it looked at to find that even a frame repair company wouldn't touch it. They said if they descaled it that the frame would just crumble. I'm tore apart about it. I would highly recommend staying far away from this place. I'd put 0 stars if I could read more

I came to Purchase a used 1997 4runner here. I was led to believe the car was in excellent condition with no problems. When I arrived I found that the car was not in very good condition at all, and with more than a few problems. The car was priced well over the Kelly blue book value for its condition. Purchased a 2012 Jeep Cherokee on January 23rd...The oil pump went out on February 10th. I have no clue how the Jeep even passed emissions and the garage doing the repair said the same thing. I went and paid my taxes on the Jeep on February 11th, I was gave a piece of paper with a signature that said taxes paid. Not even a Real Legit Receipt for handing someone $792.00 in cash. Good thing I record transactions like this. Unfortunately...I traded in a older 2000 Silverado that was in Great Condition and well taken care of and they pretty much sold me a lemon. I personally wouldn't send anyone there to buy a vehicle and I will NOT buy anything else from them. read more

I bought a Nissan SUV here a few months ago and it's a complete lemon. There is no way on earth this vehicle passed inspection. It's a used car, I get it, but there are problems with this vehicle that should have prevented it from passing inspection (broken tie rod, bad brakes, etc). At the end of the day it is my fault, I had to get a vehicle quickly and I had the cash for this one, I have found Nissans to be solid vehicles and took it at face value rather than taking the vehicle to a mechanic. The point is you should avoid this place or, if you have little choice, have a mechanic inspect anything this dude is selling. read more
