Best groom my Gracie ever had and she is 8 years old mixed terrier. I am in Greensboro, NC and highly recommend this groomer.

They rescheduled an appointment after one was made. It was made for 2 PM and they showed up at 10 AM, not even asking if it was ok. They took three hours to groom one dog, a miniature Schnauzer. He gave the excuse my dog was matted. I have a grooming table any dogs have been matted. Never ever did it take me over an hour. I asked for my pup's beard to stay intact. The guy ran his fingers through it and said no problem. I asked for the skirt to be intact, if possible. He refused to do the skirt and said my pup did not need it. What a lack of respect on what the customer wants!! My adult son kept asking what was taking the guy so long. After two hours, I joked maybe he was in back of the van watching videos on how to groom a schnauzer, since they asked for pix of what a standard schnauzer cut was like!!! What kind of groomer has no idea what a certain breed's cut is supposed to look like. When I got my poor dog back,all of his hair was cut off. No beard. No skirt, which the guy argued he would not do, so that was kind of expected, since they did not care what I wanted and what is proper for a schnauzer. My poor dog did not even have eyebrows. The gut left him no furnishings whatsoever. When he brought my dog to the door, I said I did not want my second one done - I did not want the total grooming time to be six hours, besides I was not letting them touch another dog of mine after what they did to poor Charlie. The guy insists I signed up for two dogs and seems bewildered when I say no! I ask for how much I owe. The "groomer" says he will have to call the office. He says they want to talk to me. After explaining to the guy why I did not want my second dog done and telling him to explain it to his office, he tells me they want to speak to me?!?! I am disabled. I was in pan, sitting at my table for three hours for one dog to be done. Then they want to talk to me? I got an apology and was charged full price ($100) to butcher my dog's hair. The guy then asks for a pic of my dog. lol. I refused. Then the guy sits at the bottom of my driveway - in it, on my property. Maybe hoping I would let my dog out, taking the pic I told him he could not have?!?! When I unlocked my front gate for the landscapers coming over, he moved to the street in front of my house. Creepy af. I think he was still invading my privacy, maybe trying to get the pic. Not sure. If it was not that, then it is even creepier. Bottom line, do not ever use these folks. They do not know how to groom a dog. They do not respect your time. They have no idea what they are doing. It is a clown operation. They should be ashamed of themselves! I caved and decided to give them one more chance as they did do a decent job with the cut, it was just the inability to be on time and terrible communication which was the previous issues. I booked the appointment for between 11-1pm Sunday. I confirmed the price was the same as every other cut I had before - $80. The night before they texted saying the only time they could now come was at 9am. I explained I already had plans at that time as I expected them at 11am. I cancelled morning plans and settled on 10am. After explaining I wanted the same cut as I've always had in the past, I dropped Prince off. 5 minutes later I receive a call from a representative stating that because of Prince's weight it was now going to be $120. Prince is 10 years old and has not changed in weight from every other haircut he had prior. I explained I had already been given a verbal quote to match the previous cuts I had with them. After going around in circles she eventually agreed to honor the quoted $80 price. Upon picking up Prince I paid the $80 plus tip and the groomer said they wanted $120. I stated I already spoke to someone else about this and we had agreed to honor the quoted price. The groomer then kept Prince hostage, refusing to give him to me and handed me her phone to talk to another representative. This different representative now insisted I had to pay $120, not because of the weight, but because there was a lot more work to do despite the cut being faster than previous visits. After a painful and completely unprofessional interaction I finally got my dog back and will never use HoneyPets ever again. The lack of communication within their own company is astounding and it's clear they invent reasons to charge more, assuming the customer will simply pay up. read more

After my early Espresso this morning, I was walking in the Shenandoah Square to Publix and noticed a pet grooming shop called Honey Pets. I enter the store and met with the manager, Julian, and the groomer, Pilar, who provided me with a plethora of information regarding my long haired chihuahua puppy for grooming and wash. A cute playful little Frenchie puppy was walking around the store. The front of the shop was small with two walls of pet related grooming supplies for sale. Flea & Tick meds, lotions, dental gel, leashes, food bowls and cute tiny outfits. I noticed that the floors and the room in the back where all the action happens appeared clean - which is mandatory. This shop has been here for fifteen years and is licensed and insured. Anyways, the in-store price is $65.00 for cut, wash, nails, ear cleaning, and gland removal. They also provide flea and tick treatment, in addition to local mobile home grooming and care for $75.00. The mobile home grooming van was in the front parking lot (pic provided). This is a good location and competitive pricing for me to use for the puppy, so will discuss it with my daughter (the 2nd boss) and take her here next week for a peek. read more

I now fully understand why this business has such terrible reviews. As shown in the attached screenshots, I originally scheduled my appointment using the main phone number listed on their website. When you click on it, it automatically redirects to their WhatsApp messaging service. This is now the second time I've made an appointment with this business for a specific time and date: because my work schedule is chaotic, I always request a set time for my dog's grooming. My appointment was confirmed for March 18 at 6:30 PM. However, on March 17, I received a text from a 646 number stating that my appointment was "pending for 12-4 PM" a time frame I never requested and would never be available for. I immediately replied, and their response was, "We will see you around 6-7:30 PM." To clarify, I sent a screenshot of this conversation to the original number I had booked through. They reassured me: "Don't worry, your appointment is for after 6 PM." The communication at this business is absolute trash. How can they not honor the appointments they schedule with clients? What kind of system are they using that they can't keep track of scheduled times? As I mentioned earlier, this is the second time I have booked an appointment with them, only to experience a no call, no show. No one followed up, no one called, and no one arrived for my dog's grooming. Finally, a little after 8 PM, the 646 number texted me saying, "I can be there in 30 minutes." At that point, I responded that unless they were offering a discount for the inconvenience, I no longer needed the service. I received no reply. This business clearly does not respect its customers or their time. If you're considering using their services, trust the negative reviews. I've used honey pets mobile services for years and never had any major issues . To make an appointment I always suggest to call to get clear expectations and pricing. They give you a 2 hour window on when they will show up and usually is ok. I've had incidents were they come later than the time requested but they do call you if they are running behind. Prices have gone up as everything else in this economy so full grooming for a small dog will run about $80. They do take payment via Zelle or card. Overall if you rather have someone come to you to provide you service i would recommend. read more

I have two old dogs, and I need to be able to communicate with the groomer. If you do not speak Spanish, apparently you cannot use this company. I canceled my appointment yesterday after meeting review, they don't need to give them a try. I wasted my time and I gave him $45 to leave my house. I would give a ZERO, or NEGATIVE DANGEROUS Unbelievable!!! I told the "groomer" to be careful with my little girl (like all pet owners would), and I all I got was the standard "Miami Smile and Head Nod, ..."ah, Si, Si" I said do you speak English...."ah, Si, Si", then what did I just say?..."ah, Si, Si"..."ah, Si, Si"....BLANK STARE. Yet, another in 100k examples of the standard South Florida workforce. I check on the van twice, because he "no hablo, no entiendo", once she was in the tub/sink, and the next she was getting sprayed with a "pet snuggle-type of mist". I am watching thru my window, and he exits the van CARRYING my limp dog. I rush to the door, open it, and he places my dog down, and she falls right over!!! I take another 2 minutes, frantically trying to encourage my dog to stand up, she finally does (unsteady for sure). I put her on the couch, and go back to the "groomer", demanding to know what he did to my dog. He stammers, and shakes (no entiendo, no comprendo), and high steps it to his van, and peels off. I put her to bed, and a couple hours later, she seems to be fine. I stick my finger in her ear, and get black ear wax residue. Her nails are shorter, and she smells clean (probably the spray pet freshener). But $115.00 for that?, Kiss My Ass!!. I have doorcam, windowcam evidence, and pictures of her ear wax. Okay; was scheduled for 4-6pm groomer arrived at 8:15pm took 4 hours to complete two small dogs. For grooming my dogs only takes 1.5 hrs from other groomer! now they won't make it correct and refund a portion of bill. I spoke with someone at honey pets who said they would give a discount since the groomer was 2.5 hrs late, but they didn't give me a discount and gave me the full price. they are blaming the issues on my dogs!! my small dog howls when blow dryer is on! I let the groomers know she howls! No aggressive behavior from my dogs 8lb dog and 14lbs dog. My opinion is they are horrible groomers and their custome service is absolutely horrible read more

Horrible grooming business. Avoid for your pet's safety. Razor cuts all over my dogs causing an ulcer on the paw, blood through my house and on furniture. Dogs were in pain and wouldn't walk, eat or play. Animal hospital visit cost $1700. Vet showed razor burns are their belly and around private parts as well. Groomer let dogs out of van with no collar or leash and thank heavens they ran to our door out of fear or I could have lost them. There is no way that groomer was trained/certified. It was a nightmare. That was over two months ago and still no refund for the grooming session or vet bill. I made multiple attempts to call. I was patient but I'm done. This is my third time trying this place , they don't listen, don't speak English, and have completely butchered my dog for the last time ! Run, run, run as far away as you can.. I don't comprehend how hard it is to follow instructions! Last time the owner saw the work they the new hire did and fixed it to the best of his ability. So I figure ok we will try again . If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been a customer with Honey Pets for a little over a year and haven't had any problems until my last appointment. We requested a mobile grooming appointment with a specific groomer; however, he was not available. So we got paired with a groomer we had never had before. My dog is small Yorkie/Maltese mix who is very shy and non-aggressive. He gets nervous around his paws and face but will never growl or become aggressive. Once he was done with his appointment, which took over two hours (this is rare, it usually takes about an hour/ hour and a half tops) he seemed to be okay. His grooming looked great, he was tired and couldn't stop panting but I understand it gets hot in the van. The next day, my dog was not my dog. He was not acting like his usual self, he didn't want to go on walks or even eat which is extremely strange. I noticed he was struggling to walk and it seemed like he was in pain. I took him to the vet where his doctor said he is in pain and might have some muscle soreness due to the way he was handled during his grooming. This has NEVER happened before. Although my dog is seven years old, he is not old enough to be in this much pain after a grooming. He doesn't have any arthritis or any other condition that would explain this. I contacted the store and was told that due to his age, it is normal for them to act strange. They did not want to take any accountability and after only saying that, they never responded to any of my other messages. He is seven, not seventeen. This is unjustifiable. NO dog should be this badly handled. DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED WITH THIS COMPANY. They do not care about your dog. read more

Hey guys hey! Getting my baby groomed by this company was a total mistake! The moment the male and female groomers came to my door my fur baby was shaking, which was unusual. I didn't think anything of it and let him go. About an hour or so goes by and I get a call to come to the truck because he was being "difficult". As soon as they opened their truck door I was met with my baby shaking uncontrollably while wearing a twisted manilla rope around his neck and I was appalled! No leash??? A rope. I'm not sure what that man did to my baby or what happened in general, but ever since that day he snaps on anyone (including me) when someone touches his neck area. It's extremely disheartening. I reached out to the company since and have yet to be contacted back by anyone. Also, the cut was blotchy and I assumed it was due to my baby moving around. But it was not a good look. My wife and I were walking around and saw this place we decided to look in. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit by a nasty stench. The place was very small and dirty. They had 3 dogs in 3 separate tiny tiny kennels and 3 frenchies on a play pen area. The kennels were so so so small, rusted wires and DIRTY. There was a small white dog and he was so dirty. NO WATER in the kennels for the dogs. One of the frenchies head looked deformed. We were just staring at the poor dogs and a lady came from the back ( where you can hear a lot more dogs from) and asked if we needed help.. I said no but asked if the dogs are left in those nasty kennels all day, she said " they stay there all day" and she had a smirk on her face. I then asked where they get the dogs from, she said " they come from Orlando" no further info. I kept trying to ask her info on them and she was very hesitant to answer. Being an animal lover, I do a lot of research on animal facilities and never ever buy dogs from stores or breeders so my expectations for puppy stores are always low but this place truly broke my heart. It's really sad and heartbreaking places like these exist and that people spend their money with them. This place deserves to be shut down. read more

Honey Pets experience has been by far very disappointing as well as hurtful to our 1 year old Golden Retriever. From having full fur and wanting to just get him cleaned and trimmed to having him returned to us almost shaved all the way to his skin. I do not believe their groomers have the knowledge require to be in this service. Will not be using them in the future. read more

Not a great experience with their mobile grooming. The young woman grooming my dog was friendly but did not speak enough English for me to communicate. The hook to detain my dog while in the bath was broken off so she managed to jump out and run out of the van. The door was open because the van's AC was broken which also served to make the groomer miserable. Thank goodness my dog didn't truly run away. We got her back on the van, and I lifted her into the sink, blocked her from jumping out while she was bathed, and then lifted her onto the grooming table. It left me wet and covered in fur which I hadn't planned on for a $105+ price tag. I don't think the young lady could've picked my dog up yet we discussed the dog's size when I made the appointment. I was confused to see she used clippers on my dog's double coat which left her a different color and texture then we've ever known her and appears to be against groomer recommendations when I research the matter online. And finally the groomer returned her with a bandana featuring the company's logo and phone number. Why would I want my dog to be a walking commercial until her next appointment? I asked for summer cuts for my cocker spaniels and the groomer had no idea what she was doing. She left hair on their tails, ears, head and when we asked her to fix it for the second dog, she gave my second spaniel the choppiest haircut. Then the groomer charged us extra for distance but we live 2 miles from their office so I knew she was just finding a reason to charge me more. I texted the owner & he noticed the charge discrepancy & confirmed I was overcharged. I asked for a refund repeatedly & it's been a month with no refund or correspondence. Not only was I overcharged by the groomer who did a horrible job after we told her it was wrong, the owner agreed I was overcharged & when I asked for a refund, I got ghosted. I was a loyal customer for almost a decade & took a break from them and couldn't remember why but this brought it all back. Thank god I have text and invoices as proof but I wish I didn't Zelle them so I could call my bank. Spend the extra money & go to someone else who knows how to groom a dog, doesn't overcharge you out of spite and makes things right instead of ghosting you. I asked for a refund from this horrible service and they said that since I couldn't prove their grooming is what caused the lesions on my dog's neck, that they couldn't refund me the $55 it cost for this crap job. I really wish I looked at all the negative reviews before I allowed my dogs to be groomed by these incompetent and obviously inexperienced "groomers". Would have saved myself $170 and a lot of anger and frustration. My regular groomer was out of town and I have been trying to find a good mobile groomer for my shihtzu poodle mix. This was the first company with availability so I decided to try them out. I let them groom my basset hound as well. The 2 people did not speak very good English and immediately said they'd have to shave my dog due to knots. I can acknowledge he had some matting behind his ears and near his butt but he is in NO WAY neglected or COVERED in knots. I said no, my regular groomer has never had to shave him or has even suggested that. She calls the supervisor who explains how knotted my dog is (this person never saw my dog). I said I understand he has some knots, do what you have to do but I don't want him shaved. They said ok and took my dog. When they were done my adorable dog had the worst buzz cut I've ever seen. Around his face was choppy, his long ears and beard were completely chopped up, and he had some lingering long hair on the inside of his back legs. If he truly had to be shaved I could have appreciated that and would have been ok with a decent shave, not this! I was so shocked by my dog looking like this I just paid and took him inside. My basset hound was ok but still damp- not sure how much you could mess up a hound dog bath. I reached out to the manager/whoever Michelle I think via text and I will just include the screenshot.
