The dining area is roomy and classic. You can always call them ahead of time if you need a speedy order. Honest is a great spot for a some Indian food. The atmosphere is lively and the service was very fast. The staff was also very friendly. We've tried quite a few things from their menu but absolutely love their thali and bahubali sandwich. They're packed with flavor and the bahubali sandwich is a great choice if you're looking for something unique. The noddles and Fried rice were also amazing but can be a tad spicy depending on what you get. Would highly recommend their chaats as well. My favorite has been the pani puri. read more

Disappointing decline in quality and service.I used to be a regular customer, but this restaurant has gone downhill since a local competitor closed. They have raised their prices while significantly cutting down on portion sizes.Food & Portions:Overall food quantity is much lower.They swapped large plates and bowls for smaller ones.The Thali and Dosa now come with tiny bowls of Sambhar instead of the large ones they used to serve.Many items previously served in proper glassware/chinaware are now served in cheap paper bowls.The food tastes like old, pre-cooked items mixed together, stir-fried, and rushed out without proper seasoning.Customer Service & Policy:Their refund policy is terrible. Even if you are served rotten or two-day-old food, they refuse to issue a refund.They will not give you credit on your receipt or let you adjust the balance against other items you buy during the same visit. They force you to pay cash for new items and make you come back another time just to use your credit.Hygiene & Safety:The restaurant floor and bathrooms are no longer clean.Servers and cooks are not wearing hairnets, which violates Health Department requirements.Because they are flooded with customers and face no competition, their standards have completely dropped. We desperately need a new restaurant nearby to share the business so they are forced to provide better service again. Avoid until they fix these issues. read more

I've heard about Honest from multiple family friends, and I'd say it's definitely worth it for the taste and quality of food! My parents and I got in around 7 on a Sunday and the crowd picked up quickly by the time we left. You order food at the counter and then are assigned a table where they will bring it out to. We went with 2 masala dosas, one Punjabi thali and 2 masala teas. The Punjabi thali was more than enough for 2 people. It came with daal, 2 curries which were aloo baigan and paneer butter masala, a Dani vada, papad, 2 parathas , pickle, salad and rice. The star was definitely the parathas , daal and the paneer butter masala. The curries were quite delicious and fresh as well and the parathas were heavenly! They were large and had ghee on it which added to the taste. The Dani vada was okay since I didn't like the sweetness but complemented the dish well. It did come with a gulab jamun which was too sweet, but the lassi was delicious! The dosas were also super tasty! We asked for them to be crispy so they placed the masala filling on the side. The sambar and chutneys also tasted really good and went well with the masala. The masala filling also had cashews in there which was nice! The masala teas were good and did not need to be sweetened as much. Overall, this is a pretty decent place to get vegetarian food and could tell everything was cooked fresh. We were also impressed by the level of service since the managers would come by and ask if everything is good. I do recommend coming in early before the dinner rush on weekends so that you can grab a table! read more

They serve sandwiches, street food items (chaat), thali, lassi etc. We got the thali and they informed ahead about wait times. The food was really good. Huge portions! Thali comes with 3 different curries, rice, 2 rotis , sweet, yogurt and mango lassi. They seem to get busy during lunch/ dinner hours. Expect to stand in lines for a while. Always been a fan but it's getting harder to stay supportive. The food quality is average at best and the pricing is ridiculous. $7.50 for lassi? $15 for a chaat? With mediocre taste? Hard pass. Luckily Patel Plaza is offering up more promising restaurants in the area so we have options. Giving a 3 star rating out of a 20 year loyalty but hesitant to even give that. Similar service, you order at the front desk and they assign you a seat and deliver your food to your table which is nice rather than having to get up and get it. Same taste as the Decatur location. The decor is nicer. Being newer, you should expect a wait during peak times. The line moves quickly, but you won't be able to get a table til you order, which is the same as the Decatur location. During our first visit we decided to try some newer items. We got the rava dosa and some of the indo Chinese. The noodles were good but the chili paneer with gravy was too watery. The second visit, we stuck to some of our usuals. There was a thick layer of curd that made the whole dish cold and unappetising. Mirchi Bhaji was fresh and hot, albeit too skinny. Cheese Pav Bhaji tasted the best amongst the lot, although I suspect that is only because of the insane amount of cheese in it. Service was quick. Parking space was ample. Decent ambience. Glad to see this location finally open. They just opened up in the least week so some of the items like the thali are not available yet (should be in a few more days). Compared to the Decatur location, the inside is much nicer and the food is served on plates rather than disposable plates. The food is pretty similar and tasty. The bhel puri, dahi puri and samosas were great. The masala dosa was good but did not have cashews like the other location which differentiated itself. You order the food up front and they bring it to the table. Many of the tables did not have sufficient silverware restocked so we had to hunt for spoons from other tables. I got the pani puri, a dosa with potato filling, the falooda drink and a couple other items (which I'm forgetting because I'm writing this review a bit late)!!! I remember the food was a bit spicy for me (but I do have low spice tolerance) - for those not accustomed to spice I recommend asking which foods can be adjusted at the time of ordering. It's kind of like fast-food-esque service - you order up front and then the food gets delivered to your table. They are super busy during wknd meal hours so I recommend going just slightly early so escape the long line. Servers are busy during the rush hours - it's not the kind of service where someone is gonna re-fill your water every few mins :D but great for casual vibes The quality of the food was good and FRESH. We ordered Pav Bhaji for carry out. When we got home, the bhaji tasted different than it did the last time we ate at Honest. The bhaji even looked different. We called the story manager and he was extremely rude. The first time we called to inquire about the poor taste of the food, he hung up on us. We called again a minute later and he briefly spoke to us and as we tried to explain the issue, he hung up the phone.
