Such a great new addition to the Southwest Suburbs! The Dosas are delicious and every appetizer we had was so bright and surprising.

Samosa King - Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan

Wow! I had some wonderful Kadhai chicken and biryani for dinner tonight. I called in the order and…read morealso got some samosas and garlic naan. Everything was delicious!! I definitely plan to go again, bc the restaurant is located in a great spot on 183rd Street. I got my food to go so the service was really good but there was a family there eating inside too. The place is cute and the food was hot and delicious!!

As you move farther away from Devon Street, the more Indian restaurants become a luxury. I had been going to a walk-up location of Samosa King on the north end of Tinley Park. I recently passed by a location that is closer to where I live. So, I stopped in one afternoon. I ordered pani puri, choley bhatura, and masala chai. The pani puri with the dip was just the appetizer I needed - for a change. The potatoes were lightly spicy, which was a plus given our cold temperatures. The choley bhatura was a winner. And since I have developed mastery eating Indian food with my hands, that made it that better. I ordered it with a spice level of hot and there was no ring around my mouth from the peppers. My scalp sweated, though, and that meant that they must have cooked the peppers instead of adding them at the end. With the masala chai, the lunch was a winner. Nothing is rushed. Food is cooked to order, so there will be a wait. There is plenty of room inside if you choose indoor dining. It looked like there is a patio for outside seating, which would be an ideal offering during warmer months. Big ups for outstanding service and high marks for even better food with flavor. I will definitely be going back since I don't have to go back into Chicago for North Side Indian food on Devon Street.

Walking into Desi Accent felt like stepping into a space filled with echoes of the past. We used to…read morespend time here decades ago, when the space was The Living Room, and the moment we entered, those memories came rushing back in the most joyful way. The space is inviting and comfortable, easy to settle into. Service was exceptionally friendly. We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely conversation with Sara, the owner, which added a personal and heartfelt touch to the evening. Our party of four included a vegetarian and someone with gluten-free needs, and both were accommodated effortlessly. Always a sign of a thoughtful kitchen. We started with Aloo Paneer Tikki and Papdi Chaat, both excellent. The tikki was crisp and satisfying, and the chaat had that perfect mix of textures and tangy brightness. For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. My friend and I ventured into margarita territory, one spicy and one with ginger, both crafted so well that we immediately ordered a second round. No regrets. If I had one small wish, it would be for music that leans more into the cultural experience. A sitar in the background or even Bollywood scenes on the screens would add an extra layer of immersion. That said, the American music playing was tasteful and unobtrusive. If you're in the suburbs and craving good Indian food with warm hospitality, this is your place. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered a chicken curry, chicken biryani, and lamb Rogan Josh. Chicken curry tasted great, chicken biryani had good flavor except it tasted sweet which we did not like, and lamb rogan josh was a solid 4/5 (better than most). We ordered couple garlic naan and a cheese naan. Only issue I have is that complimentary rice should come with curries. This was not the case, but almost every Indian restaurant does this with the exception of a few. Good ambiance, nice wall decor. I'd order again.

An amazing, make from scratch, Indian restaurant with longer than expected wait time…read more Read the reviews; everyone who dines here raves about the food. Everything my family and I have ordered is flavorful, filling, and have leftovers. The staff is polite, kind, and helpful. If you want an authentic, you've stumbled upon the right venue. I understand Yelper Christopher O's comment about the high prices (especially the naan; I'd argue should be complementary). Sounds like lunch orders do include some accoutrement; maybe I'll try 'em next time. I identify with Yelper Jeremy S's passion for spice and heat! Similar to a Thai restaurant, you can customize the heat level of many dishes, although I'd argue a standard order is pretty soft on heat. The only side I am mixed about is the paratha. I've been raised on the frozen, supermarket style you toast in a pan and serve. Do not expect the flaky, buttery flatbread with a bit of a toasted crunch. *I DO recognize this is not traditional (I did say 'supermarket' after all), so take my opinion lightly. I WANT to give Shree 5 stars and would on the food alone. After three visits--and myriad excuses why our food was so slow each time--the belated turn around from order to eating is *not* a fluke. Our worst experience was Valentines Day 2025--clocked in at :75 from order to the first dish (an appetizer). I know good food takes time...but my wife suggested next time we order ahead or get takeout. Then again, I've seen patrons at peak meal times sit at the bar for :15+ past takeout delivery time.

Haven't had it so I wasn't sure entirely sure what it was. Was told it doesn't travel well and will be soggy when I get home. Really appreciate that tip. Most places wouldn't care. Got garlic naan instead. They just got their liquor license so I was the first person to have a drink there while I waited for my food Cute space. Very small and parking is terrible. Wish they were in a bigger spot.
