I asked for mild but they sent very spicy food. Both the butter chicken and the taki masala were extremely oily.

Listen to me, I've driven by this place so many times and wondered what's really good to eat here…read more Most of the time I was intimidated by the traffic here, and how cramped it can seem - but let me tell you, the food is WORTH IT, man! Just the bowl of lamb broth pre-meal is worth an hour of wait. I DREAM OF THAT BROTH, it was that good. I wanted to seek out the chef, and kiss his/her hands, but I don't have bail money, so I didn't. Their grilled fish was also to die for; booked through perfectly, and juicy, with a bunch of beautifully caramelized seasoning giving it a scrumptious yet delicate flavor. Baba Ghanoush can be had as a main, versus a side, the portion is aplenty, and the flavor is top notch; I prefer my ghanoush more chunky, but this is creamy and satisfying too! Overall, thoroughly satisfied, this is the kind of meal that will have you hating yourself for not getting here sooner! Go try it now..... it's not just about Yemeni Coffee, the food is amazing too!

Small place run as a new startup by amateurs. Need to be run more professional. Very bare…read morefurnished, though food prices are comparable with a good Restraunt. Yemani Adni tea was good, but unfortunately was pre mixed with sugar - no other choice was possible. Appetizer of a breaded chicken Sandwitch was OK, the hummus left a lot to be desired. Only Lamb Mandi was good. Chicken Biryani was too oily. Could not understand the freshly made dessert of dates, cream and others. Service was with a smile. Staff was accommodating. I will give it another try after they have run the place for a few months and hopefully improved.

This is located in downtown Elmhurst. You can find a parking garage nearby. You can park for free…read morefor 4 hours and it's minutes away from the restaurant. The restaurant is a good size. We ordered gobi Manchurian, mango lassi, Indian masala tea, Maharaj dinner special for 2, shrimp masala, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, and tandoori royal platter. I've been to a number of Indian places and this place is the most generous with their food portions. Most other ones are not shareable especially for a group of 4. Prices are fair and competitive with other Indian places. Service was very friendly and attentive. The drinks are pretty good. I liked that they gave you a large glass for the mango lassi. It was creamy and flavors popped out. The Indian masala tea was good, it was savory. Fyi, if you want basmati rice you'll have to order it separately. Most of the Indian places I've been to in Illinois, you have to order it separately. Overall, I give it 4.5. -gobi Manchurian 4 - this one could pass off as a Chinese dish. If you didn't know it was cauliflower, it could easily pass off as chicken. -Maharaj dinner special for 2 5 - this comes with tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, fish tikka, chicken tikka, rogan josh, dal makhani, and sweet gulab juman. I believe the basmati rice and naan comes with this. The rogan josh is very good. The dal makhani is made up of lentils and kidney beans. I recommend using the naan and rice and eating it with the sauces. The gulab juman is a mildly sweet dessert if you don't eat the syrup on the bottom. -shrimp masala 5 - they put in some big chunks of shrimp which is great. The sauce is medium spicy but enjoyable. This one is my personal favorite. -lamb vindaloo 5 - the medium level does pack a bit of heat. It's still very good. Lamb cubes were very tender. -garlic naan 5 - we didn't know that naan also comes with one of the samplers. The garlic version went fast. I'm not sure what kind are the other ones but they had a nice buttery taste. -tandoori royal platter 5 - this is a good selection of different meats if you are new to Indian cuisine. It comes with tandoori chicken, malai chicken, chicken tikka, and seekh kebab. My personal favorites are tandoori chicken and seekh kebab. The meats are all well seasoned. The tandoori chicken is very tender and juicy.

I absolutely recommend this place for anyone craving delicious North Indian cuisine! Cant wait to go back!
