Went in for a safety recall…read more I did love the video the tech sent; it was great how the technician explained things in general about the health of the vehicle. Kai (sp?) and Mercedes at the service desk are great, wonderful personal customer service, at the service desk. The challenges: Communication. I left multiple voice messages over several days for the service center, requesting a return call to schedule a service. I never received a phone call back. I brought my vehicle in for a safety recall, and when the technician sent me the video inspection of the vehicle, he didn't mention that the safety recall issue had been fixed let alone what he did to fix it. I received two different texts from two different phone numbers that had texted me about my vehicle being ready for pick up or asking me if I wanted to complete a $450 wheel service. I replied to both numbers, asking to confirm the safety recall had been fixed, no replies to my text. I then attempted to call the service desk and kept being put into voicemail, but I know voicemails aren't returned. The safety recall letter mentioned that the dealership may be able to provide me transportation. I work 1.7 miles down Ken Pratt Blvd. I was offered a loaner car. It didn't make sense to me to borrow one of the loaner cars for a 4 mile round-trip to for the loaner to sit in my work place parking lot and not be available to another customer. Each time I have come in I've used Lyft for the 1.7 miles to my office and the 1.7 miles back to the dealership. A friendly customer service ride would've really been the shining star of customer service. I'm grateful for the free oil changes that I received when I purchased my vehicle and that McDonald Mazda North was able to do those for me. But I won't be back now, unless for a safety recall, now that I've used up the free oil changes. I'll be going to a smaller more personal mechanic. Y'all have a business to run and you have certain goals for your business. Your goals and my customer service experience hopes just don't align.

I couldn't hear the knock but I was going to believe them, just figured they knew what they were doing and they're a reputable shop. I was about to sell it to a junkyard today and again I couldn't hear the knock so I figured id get a second opinion from another shop in boulder. (I know this should have been the first thing I did lol) Turns out the engine was completely fine, it needed a new accelerator pedal sensor and that was throwing the car into limp mode. I had already bought a new car and I just fixed my old one for about $100 and ten minutes of work; because I trusted them and didn't get a second opinion I'm stuck with two functional cars! I have a hard time believing they purposely misdiagnosed the problem to try and buy the car off me for significantly less than it was worth, but who knows. I'm really just confused by the whole thing, I thought I was going crazy trying to hear a knock in a perfectly healthy engine. The one thing I do know is that I wouldn't recommend this shop. Could have been an honest mistake, or there could have been some malicious intent, who knows. Regardless of the reason it happened they f***ed up and the whole thing has been a massive, unnecessary inconvenience.

Even after being very clear that I would walk if they changed the numbers, they tried to drop my trade-in value by $3,000+ the moment I arrived. Before I even got there, the salesperson, Lorenzo, sent a rude text refusing to even "look at my numbers" unless I showed him a full evaluation from another dealer first, then called me later on and blamed his manager and said it was him sending the texts. Despite having a quote and a check in hand, they still tried to play games with "hidden codes" on my vehicle. I walked out and went back to South Colorado Springs Nissan, who honored the $7,500 trade without question and got me a better rate. Don't waste your time or gas money here. They don't respect your time, their own written word, or service members.

The waiting area is nice, decent leather sofas and free snacks and drinks. The service people I dealt with for the most part were courteous. They did an awesome job addressing the factory recalls and provided a loaner when the service was being done. I did run into an issue with an oil change I had done their once. After I did an oil change, something erred on their end. I drove about 30 miles after picking up the car, and my check engine light came on, and oil was spewed all over the back of my car. I called them and brought it back and they gave me a loaner and said they would fix the problem. They detailed the car and offered an extended warranty for their error. However it took a few calls to the service dept. director Mike ,to get this addressed. He was very understanding with the whole issue, and I think he ultimately handled the situation well. The major gripe that I have is after getting an oil change, a number of white scratches appeared near my drivers side door handle. I'm pretty anal about scratches and dings, so if it weren't for this, they'd be getting 5 stars.

The battery was still under warranty. The excellent Acura dealership in Idaho worked with Josh or Mark (or someone else on the Boulder service team) to determine how much of the cost of the new battery needed to be pro-rated. I really appreciated the effort that Flatiron's put forth to dig up the battery info. Over fifteen years, they always have provided "Best in Class" support and service.

Extremely unprofessional, driver was late, got aggressive with me after I told him to not start then truck he started it anyways after I told him there was NO COOLANT in the truck which is the sole reason I was having it towed to my mechanic because I didn't want to start the truck. I asked him to shut it off which he failed to do so after asking 3 times in a row I told him to move so I could shut it off before he blew my engine. Then he walks up to me aggressively to tell me not to tell him to move like that and gets an attitude with me and gets in my face like we're in prison or something acting like he's gonna fight me. Grow up. Then I told him to unhook my truck then I got charged anyways and he calls the office and gives them some lame story which I'm sure I'm not the first one he got aggressive with. Not ok. Then he aggressively unhooked my truck cussing me out calling me names etc... He told me his reason for starting the truck was to put it in neutral, so when the next tow driver showed up from a different company there was absolutely no issue he didn't start the truck because there is a pulley that puts the truck in neutral and said the other guy should've known that being a tow truck driver and all. Took about 30 seconds for him to pop off the panel pull the string and pop the truck in neutral. Said there was absolutely no reason the truck should've been turned on to put in neutral. Thanks for sending an angry psychopath. All I can say is run. Can't believe they employ someone like this. Yes they also still charged me for showing up before they would even unhook my truck. Wish I could give negative stars.
