$165 for 15 minutes. Wow. Not sure this was good value. Flipped a GFI for us . Be sure to get an estimate folks. Ps. I got berated by owner for my "honest" review. read more

In order to warm the water and the seat for a bidet, my mom who lives in Orange County needed to have an outlet installed near the toilet. After checking with a few companies on Yelp and sending photos regarding the work, Ryan was able to send me a bid fairly quickly. Here's where the one star deduction comes in. Because I live in the San Francisco Bay area, I flew down a day before our scheduled appointment because I wanted to ensure that the job was successful. An hour before the appointment, I received a text from Ryan explaining that he needed to reschedule for Monday. Because of my work, I had to leave before Monday. According to my mom, Ryan showed up on Monday, but not during the time specified which worried me because of the previous cancellation. In fact, I had to text Ryan and ask if he was still going to do the work. After the job was done, my mom said Ryan did a good job. See the photos. If you are flexible, then Honest Electric is a good choice. read more

Ryan from Honest Electric was extremely helpful in providing options to achieve my desired result for installation. His quote was highly competitive, he was quick to respond, and he delivered first class service. It's easy to see that Ryan cares about his customers. I would encourage anyone to call Honest Electric when looking for a professional you can trust. Thank you Ryan!! read more

Connected with Ryan on yelp "projects". He replied immediately, was able to make it out same day. Price was reasonable and fair. Thank you, Ryan! read more

I sent out requests for quotes for a bathroom fan installation and Honest Electric was one of the quickest to respond. Due to some scheduling conflicts (work emergencies and the Christmas holiday), I went with Honest Electric and was very pleased with my experience. Ryan was in and out in less than 2 hours and did a beautiful job. I also asked him to take a quick look at my Google nest to see whether and how I should install a common c wire, and he was helpful--I'd probably reach out to Honest Electric for that too. One thing--I'm a shoeless household and I provided booties to Ryan but in one of Ryan's trips to and from his car, he completely forgot and wore his shoes into my condo and into the carpeted bedroom, where he left a black stain. I was particularly unhappy given that it was raining outside so his shoes were wet and my carpet is quick to show dark stains (it's a light cream color). Ryan was very apologetic though and he did a good job otherwise, so I'm working on getting over that. read more

Ryan is always punctual and quick to fix the problem ! I have used him several times before and can highly recommend him.

I hired Honest Electric to install a fan in our high ceiling living room. He was very professional, friendly and in constant communication from start to finish, letting me know he was running late 30 minutes before the appointment's set up time. Once he was here; he got the job done fairly quickly and made it look easy. It took about an hour to get it done cleaning the area afterwards and giving me some recommendations on how to take proper care of the new unit. I most definitely recommend them for any electronic job around your home. I'll make sure to contact them first in the future. read more

Ryan was great every step of the way. Thorough, helpful, efficient. I would definitely recommend him.

I hired Ryan to install an outlet in my bathroom so I could plug in a bidet. He arrived promptly on time, got the job done at a great rate and even installed the toilet seat for me! He went above and beyond and was very efficient and neat in his work. Quality professional!! read more

Ryan was attentive, knowledgeable, and very personable. Very happy with the GFCI and Tesla wall connector install. Pricing was comparable to other quotes I received but Ryan will do the job right, not the easy way. He ended up saving me a couple hundred on dry wall repair with a couple intuitive decisions. I think I found my go-to electrician. Would recommend 10/10. read more

Honest Electric was efficient, honest and offered good value for my money. I spoke with Ryan who tried to squeeze me in to his already busy schedule. I was looking to have some backlit address lights installed. I was able to communicate with him via text as well which is always helpful during working hours. I sent photos of where I wanted the install and we spoke about what would have to be done with minimal damage to the walls. He took good caution to make the smallest holes were made to minimize repairs after. I also requested he install a solar sensor so I don't have to worry about turning the lights on each day. Overall I'm in love with my lights and Ryan's craftsmanship. Don't hesitate to call for your electrical needs! read more

Best electrician ever! Ryan was responsive, helpful, trust-worthy and definitely hard-working! I messaged him on Memorial Day for a quote and he responded within minutes. $ - I've used many electricians in the Orange County or Irvine area and he has the best price in the area. Speed - he is fast and finished the job in an hour. Overall, great customer service, friendly and easy. If you don't like to deal with fussy people, go with Honest Electric! read more

Ryan is a great person to talk to. My refrigerator and microwave outlet went out, and he was able to restore power. Responsive and knowledgeable. His rate is reasonable. I will definitely use his service again in the future. read more

Update on my review. The guys sent were great and professional but in my later response to the owner Ryan he first scheduled a day for the fan install but at the last minute cancelled as they had an emergency. I responded about the new date and called multiple times but he is now ignoring me. Terrible customer service and I will find someone better to handle the job. I regret giving them a good review in the first place. Original post - Great response time and true to their name they were honest. They looked into and fixed the issues that they could but the last thing is I need to buy a new ceiling fan for them to install since our old one's motor burned out. When I get the new one I will definitely call them back to install it. read more

They lied about fixing their own installations if u pay for their overpriced installation. Claiming if u pay, they would come if there was ever any problems. No, they come once to get your money & leave forever. Make up excuses and never come. As u can see in this picture the lights aren't properly installed & the fans are sitting outside of the ceiling, not even inside the ceiling & it is crooked & the lights are only lighting up from one side. Half ass job for a way overpriced installation. I do not recommend. They LIE about coming to fix it if there was ever a problem. I spent $3,000 for simple light installation. Paid for my own lights not even them providing lights or anything. This was much very OVERPRICED installation. Installation alone can be done by someone else for $1,000 or less. They can't even bother to come and see what they did wrong. They are lazy and want people's money with false promises. Bad service & they lie to you about coming back to see what is wrong. When this is resolved I will take down this review. As long as this review is still up, I suggest you work with someone else who keeps their word & actually help you. This small business is shady for making false promises and overcharging you for lights installation. The fact that you spend so much and support their business just for them to not take the time out of their day or sitting from making $3k a day just to fix it suggests they are shady and greedy. read more

Job was reasonably priced and done within the set time frame. Would hire for future projects.

Had a great experience with Ryan at Honest Electric for some outdoor outlets, smart light switch. Friendly, responsive, professional and pricing was fair and reasonable. Even with barking dogs around him Ryan kept his cool and went about his business, sorry Ryan! :) I plan to use Honest Electric for future electrical needs and highly recommend you work with Ryan and team! read more

Ryan was great. These days on Yelp everyone seems to be responsive. Cause otherwise some Karen will put you on blast or review bomb you. Unfortunately sometimes that comes at a price and everyone seemed to have a minimum of like $250 or whatever for any service call or job. I'm not a electrician but I knew enough that my job was only a 15 min circuit breaker replacement. But I'm not going to risk fixing it myself to save my landlord some money. In any case, of all the electricians that quoted me on Yelp, Ryan at Honest Electric was the only one that read what I wrote and asked for pictures and communicated real promptly. Sometimes contractors don't seem to read what you quote or just waive a "nominal service visit fee" but then quote super high or their minimum, it certainly appreciated to find someone willing to take the time to really communicate with you. Sure enough Ryan showed up on time, communicated well, and had the parts with him. Certainly will use him again and will refer him to others! read more

Ryan provided a consultation virtually and gave a fair price for the installation of a NEMA 14-50 plug to charge my EV in my garage so I scheduled them for an afternoon installation appointment. Ryan showed up promptly and we did a quick overview of the job and confirmed that my expectations hadn't changed from our consult and they were working away shortly thereafter. They finished the install and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. Definitely going to keep Honest Electric in mind for some other electrical work around the house. A+. Keep up the great work! -Adam read more

Ryan A. from Honest Electric provided his expertise for our project. We got some dimmable lights on Amazon and were getting quotes to install dimmable switch. Ryan was most prompt responder on Yelp, for our project, and went out of the way to request additional project-specific info from us. After some back and forth we decided not to move forward with the project, but if we were, we would definitely not hesitate to go with Honest Electric. read more

I urgently needed to have a 220-volt receptacle installed for an electric range installation, and Honest Electric was able to come out the day after I contacted them over Yelp. They installed the 220-volt receptacle for me, plus a new AFCI outlet in a bathroom. They were very communicative about my options for each outlet, and they even checked the new oven to make sure that the plug would work properly. The work was completed quickly and I was charged exactly the price that they bid over yelp. They were friendly, professional, and helpful. This will be my go-to electrician from now on. read more

Ryan was amazing! Can't thank him enough! He responded within minutes of my request.... He was prompt in setting up an immediate appointment. He even worked with the "other" contractor (who originally installed my mini splits, but said they couldn't respond that day).
