Her care put me in No oncetwo unsafe situations. The caregiver drove the wrong way down Cimarron Pkwy this not only terrified me but also posed a significant risk to our safety. Then when finally turning to go back just stopped in the turn lane about two cars from the light and start saying Cimarron was a one way street. I explained it is a four lane street here off Mason, two right lanes and two left lanes and that the turn signal had turned green and all she had to do was follow the little arrow on it and turn to the left. The person who answered thephones at Cornerstonre as I called when this was happening was so dishonest that they actually said. "That's funny because she drives people all over town to doctor appointments." The response dismissed the gravity of the situation, suggesting a casual attitude towards what could have been a life-threatening error, and no concern at all. I have recently undergone knee surgery and am also suffering from Cellulitis. Despite my visible discomfort and attempt to communicate, the caregiver inappropriately handled my affected leg while assisting me with my shoe, causing intense pain. I did not need nor ask for her help but she grabbed shoe at the foot of cellulitis and shook it and the leg still recovering from the surgery incision. This incident indicates a lack of basic understanding of patient care, especially for those with medical conditions and recent surgeries.I told the lady on the phone about this and she had no response. No concern at all. No concern for the safety of clients like myself was shown.

Traveled 30 minutes for a job interview and I got the job. The woman said when I got home to send in my social card she ignored it for a week said she didn't get it no she got it. I sent it again because I told her she hasn't messaged me to come in for training and she didn't run my background. She said oh I got it I assumed she was doing the background. I didn't get any emails from this company no information no call no text to come in for the training. I told them in a text I'm turning down the job they lack in communication skills. I hope they don't do this to the woman that came in before me because this is unprofessional.

There is room inside the vehicle for one wheelchair and four other passengers. The drivers are polite, careful with passengers and with their driving. Unlike some companies Advance will take you to your destination and wait for you to make the return ( unless of course it is a one way requirement!). They are very timely and happy to give you cell phone number for the vehicle so that you can modify arrangements if necessary or just to check on things. I sought the services of Houston Care Manager when my mother was diagnosed with cancer following…read moreyears of declining health. I learned about geriatric care manager services a few years before, but my mother's cancer diagnosis led me to secure the service. It was a help for many reasons including identifying services I wish were in place long before the cancer diagnosis. I did not have a lot of support and needed the guidance and helpful perspective of Houston Care Manager as my mother's illness and care needs evolved. There aren't enough words to articulate how helpful this service was to me as a long distance caregiver who did my best to help my mother. Thank you Houston Care Manager. I hope others learn about this service. There is a gap in elder care for working caregivers. Underfunded county agencies are burdened with too much demand.
