The employees are readily available to meet the needs of customers in every aspect of the business. The communication system is very good and there is customer-employee rapport and satisfaction. Their working environment is friendly and issues on customer relations are handled expeditiously. I highly recommend this company to everyone in view of my experiences because of the high professionalism and the pursuits of excellence in the home health business.

It would take 2 or 3 times of emails to get the money I earned resulting in up to 3 eft for a single pay period. They start out paying your a high rate then restrict your hours, refuse overtime, and I have mandatory deductions required by Texas to be taken out of my paycheck, total of $300 a month. Instead, they took 300 from each eft paycheck that were at least 2 per period usually 3 and took the 300 from EACH paycheck. Resulting in a total of 1200 taken in 3 and 1/2 weeks. This money wasn't sent to the party for 2 months after I reported them, they promised to not take any more for two months and I was in a severe accident, hospitalized with spine fractures and within days while in hospital, I had already lost my job, and never paid my last owed paycheck, I am unable to work or lift more that 10lb and it has been 3 months without a single response from their company just to be sent the last paystubs to submit to insurance for disability. Their employee system has been down for the same amount of time and now they supposedly had a data breach? Maybe a scrub of data and records. They are committing Medicare fraud and withholding employee pay for a "bonus" I never received. I printed my paystubs prior to the crash and they sent me a summary of my pay and hours- it has been altered eft dates changed, pay for pay periods altered. And I am still owed the last month of money they took out that would be put on hold through the last 2 months after I was fired for being hospitalized in the accident. These little girls are never in the office, take much for 2 hours and since system has been down have not been going into the office at all. "Working from home" I was told because there was no point in working from the office since the system crashed. I cannot submit my paperwork to get any money from insurance or state STILL because I can't access my last paystubs and they won't send me the correct paperwork needed. Continued in photo

*PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW *…read more As of 2/5/24, I am a former employee of Brightstar Care (Downtown Houston location on Richmond Avenue). This business is very unorganized, unprofessional, and not fair at all! I've given them several chances to get it together. My coworkers and myself (on the 24/7 case that we worked on) had to bring our own toilet paper, gloves, and have had to bring food, drinks, and supplies for our patient on MANY times. I've spent a little over $100 total on different occasions buying food and supplies such as: tooth paste, mouth wash, body wash, deodorant, food, etc.. They knew this, and never reimbursed me. I told the office when things were out and they did absolutely nothing about it, because they knew that two of my coworkers and myself, would stop by the store before work and buy her food. So, that was one less thing they had to worry about. I love what I do; but shouldn't be responsible for providing food or anything else for my patients. I gave Brenda Garza (the Client Care Coordinator) a heads up that I was starting my new job and needed to change my availability to PRN. So, I showed up for my shift 2/5 only to find they sent another lady. I wasted my gas, and also gave up a shift at my other job (thinking that I was already scheduled). I was crystal clear on when I was supposed to start my new job. Brenda sent a lady who literally didn't know any English at all! She had to use the translator app for EVERYTHING she asked me. It was mind blowing. If a person doesn't know English, at least know enough to get by with taking care of a patient. Maybe the employee was a friend of hers who needed more work. So, she decided to take my shift with no notice at all. That's so unprofessional! I know she has her picks of who she wants to send. Brenda has done the same thing to another caregiver in the past. The agency is the worst in every way! Half of the caregivers who work for them are lazy as well. I've voiced my concerns several times and was ignored. I shouldn't have to come on shift to the patient soaking wet, bed pad wet, and the sheets wet. Especially when the patient eliminates very little at a time. That's neglect!! Plain and simple.. I shouldn't have to clean smeared BM off the back of the toilet seat (which the patient does not use at all). A grown woman should know how to wipe herself correctly. Then, sometimes, this one caregiver would leave dirty diapers in the kitchen trash can. I only noticed after she left. There was also a caregiver who relieved me and she brought her husband to her shift to stay there with her. That is a huge HIPPA violation!! To add insult to injury, they came in smelling like ten packs of cigarettes. The last thing I experienced is a caregiver would actually bring her baby and sister with her to her night shift. It is a complete CIRCUS to work for Brightstar (Downtown Houston location). This may seem a bit much to reveal, but I do have proof of everything I've experienced, in case I ever have to use it!! They should be ashamed of themselves!
