We were informed that they would return the next day around noon, because they had another project to go to in the morning. They never showed up the next day (we were not notified that they weren't coming) and they left all their materials in a common area within our development. We reached out and was informed to contact Eric. We called and sent text message with no response. The crew arrived a day late and finished up. We were informed that they would have to return to repair our wall that was damaged and they need to seal our brick work. They did not give a time, but instead told us they need to check with Eric. Again, there wasn't any communication and the materials were not removed. We reached out to Eric again (no response) and the crew appeared the next day to finish. I've recently come to believe that you do indeed get what you pay for. Home Turf didn't bring the cheapest estimate, but they're very competitive. My husband and I used Home Turf through the HERO program. We requested a heating and air system, new windows, pool pump, pool solar and solar for our home. We dealt directly with Kris Grant, the owner of the company. Kris was friendly and professional and made several site visits to assure his contracting crew stayed on task and completed the job on time. After completion of each job Kris check the work of his employees and made sure each job was done properly without any errors. A few months after all the work to our home was completed we had an issue with our heating and air system. I called Kris and he took care of the problem immediately and made sure there was no charge for the issue that needed to be repaired. Kris went out of his way to call us back a few months after all the work was done and made sure we were happy with the jobs. Would not recommend for Concrete / Hardscape. According to my contract with them the concrete was suppose to be. 4" thick. I have large areas where it is 2.5" thick. Along some edges along the fence it is less then 1" and cracking off in Pieces. Complete scam. Kris said he would fix it and then told me to Screw off and call the contractors board. That is my next step. They do cut corners to save on cost of goods so more money in their pocket and you get a really bad job. Now I hear he started a Solar company in Santee. Home Turf just finished installing the artificial grass on 09/24/21. It is absolutely beautiful!! We are so glad we chose Home Turf. We had a total of 5 bids and Home Turf was the least expensive. They give a 5% discount for cash/check payment. The turf we had installed has a 25 yr warranty and they provide a 10 yr. installation defect labor warranty. George Cova is the foreman and we couldn't be happier with his business style. It is all about customer service with George. Not only did they do the installation they also made an entry so we can access our septic tank which is located under ground in the lawn area where the turf was installed. They added "pavers" around the turf and it looks amazing. George made sure everything was hauled away and they even pressure washed the areas where they worked and put their supplies. It was a horribly hot week, over 100, but George's crew never slowed down. A great company, great attitudes, professional and friendly. Don't use anyone else, they are the real deal! We wanted a mix of synthetic grass, rocks, and drought-friendly plants in our front yard. Reached out to several companies and individuals for quotes. CALE was very professional and followed up with me, and came out in person to inspect the yard. He even provided me a drawing of what our lawn would look like which was very helpful, as well as a copy of their liability insurance (which is something i didn't even think of). He was very knowledgable about the different types of synthetic grass, and in the end, provided quality service. The landscapers were very hard working, kept the area clean, and CALE followed up with me to make sure everything went well. We also exchanged texts and emails with photos of various plants asking for my opinion, which was very nice to keep me engaged in the process. The work only took 3 days, and now we have a beautiful new front lawn (much to the delight of our boys who were quite embarassed by how it used to look). I should mention, they weren't the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. Home Turf converted all of my water-hog grass to their turf at two of my houses in Carlsbad. I had looked at a myriad of turf samples and theirs looked the most real. In fact, people walking by sometimes bend over and feel it. They think it is real, I was just at the warehouse picking up large remnants. (15 x 12 size) so that I could add a pop of greenery at my cabin and make a dog zone for a rental. The grass is even better now, aesthetically, and also stays cooler for kids and dogs.
