Having dealt with our completely gopher-ruined front yard for several months, we decided to install synthetic grass, after comparing eight other turf companies, we chose HomeTurf. There are several reasons why we like them. First, we contacted the company to arrange the quote, and the operator lady responded quickly, soon after followed with text and email confirmation. Second, Mr. Rich Cubin and his partner came to our property on time, with the advanced technology to precisely measure. They were knowledgeable on turf and gave us different ideas regarding landscape, which aligned with our aesthetics. Third, Mr. Montez and his team arrived promptly, their craftsmanship was truly sophisticated and impeccable while maintaining the worksite neatly and organized. Fourth, the materials they applied are thick, and durable ensuring the turf looks like authentic grass, providing more of a natural appeal. Thank you for transforming our scariest yard around the block into the most beautiful one! Our neighbor drove past and looked astonished by our yard, several neighbors even came to our yard and gave us compliments. Ultimately, it was a pleasant and smooth experience with this company. We highly recommend them if you consider installing synthetic grass. Choose them, and you will not regret it because they went above and beyond to demonstrate professionalism and expertise in this field from the beginning of the estimation to the completion of the project!
From the start of our project- Denise was accommodating with working around our schedule and having Rick come out on a day that worked for us. Rich was so knowledgeable about synthetic turf, drains, and pavers to make our project the best potential for our back yard. The turf we chose was affordable and softer than I expected turf to be. They out bid all of the competition. The project took 5 days total and was so impressive to see how beautiful the turf and the pavers they but in. The crew was friendly, timely and receptive to personal preferences. Very easy to work with max The attention to detail with the many paver cuts that were required was very impressive. I am going to recommend this company to all my friends/ co-workers in need of turf or landscaping
Home Turf installed the turf in our backyard and we absolutely love it! Very professional and excellent communication during the entire project.
From Rich providing the quote, to Denise being delightful in the office answering the phone and my questions and Eric and all the installers were great. Got the result I wanted at a fair quote, I got two other bids. Back yard looks like night and day I could not be happier. The arrived on Monday and prepped but had to wait til Thursday to continue due to rain. Liquefaction is real when compacting the base so they had to wait for dryer days. Finished up on Friday and now I can walk in my back yard in bare feet and enjoy it. Here are pics from before (only weeds would grow, no grass), during and after. Could not be happier.
From beginning to end, the team at HomeTurf was professional, friendly, and efficient. Rich and Denise were excellent in their consultation and coordination, respectively. I literally met with Rich on a Wednesday morning (his knowledge and expertise was impressive and his pricing competitive) and the turf for my playground and rooftop were installed by Friday afternoon. Alfredo and David were on deck, steadfast and detailed in their process and work. Finally, the cleanup was immaculate which I really appreciated. My kids and I are so happy with how it looks and feels!
We are very happy with the work that SD Home Turf did in our backyard. Rich met with us, showed us samples, and gave us good design feedback for our backyard. They had a competitive price and the experience, but we ultimately went with SD Home Turf because we felt we could truly trust Rich with our project. The team he had was able to complete the job within a week of giving us the quote. They were able to take care of any questions/concerns that we had gave us a product that we truly love. Can't say enough good things about the team at SD Home Turf!
Rich was extremely professional, on time, and had a design in mind for my yard that I had not considered. Pricing was excellent and the work was done in one day with minor brush-ups the next day. It was completed just in time for the rain. I am thrilled with the results! Highly recommended!
I had a great experience with HomeTurf and I'm totally in love with my new turf! Denise and Rich were awesome. They provided good customer service, and were very professional and courteous. Rich came out and gave me an estimate. He was very knowledgeable. Both Denise and Rich were always available for any questions I had during my decision making. I had gotten 3 quotes from different companies and I decided to go with HomeTurf. They had reasonable pricing and Rich's customer service topped them all. The crew were hardworking and efficient. They were kind and courteous. They always cleaned up after every workday, and even brought in my trash cans from the street after trash day! They finished my backyard and front yard in 3 days! It's a great quality product. It looks amazing and I can't stop looking at it. I had very little grass before, it was mostly dirt honestly, and now it's a beautiful green! I'm delighted with my new curb appeal and the best part is it's extremely low maintenance. I highly recommend this company, and have been telling my family, friends, and coworkers about my great experience with HomeTurf.
My overall experience with HomeTurf has been TRULY EXCEPTIONAL! Our initial contact with Rich was remarkably memorable. He arrived on time for our appointment. He is very HONEST and PROFESSIONAL throughout our entire process. Being a fellow Veteran himself, he offered us a much better pricing, higher quality turf, and unbeatable warranty. He is true to his word and kept his promise of providing us a great experience with HomeTurf. As for the installation crew, led by Alonzo. Our experience with them was EXCELLENT and memorable as well. They arrived on time for each day and were relentless in accomplishing their tasks, even though the weather was taking a turn with a little rain. The entire crew were true professionals and showed complete respect for my property by being mindful of their mess and thoroughly cleaning up after themselves at the end of each day. Although we had expected the project to take 3-4 days to complete. Alonzo and his entire crew were able to complete the job in under 2 days, which is TRULY REMARKABLE! Rich, Alonzo, and entire team at HomeTurf are simply AWESOME! They are what small businesses should strive to become! We look forward to dealing with HomeTurf again when it comes time for our front yard!
Coming from the East Coast, we didn't know anything about turf. We turned to Yelp for reviews and invited 4 companies to come out and give a quote. Not only was HomeTurf's the most competitive (they beat a competitor's quote and gave the best warranties), they spent the most time with us, explaining how the job would be done, working through multiple options, discussing pros and cons of different turfs, and even taking the time to learn about our family. When the crew showed up, we knew we were in good hands. They explained every step of the process and treated our property like it was their own. We had two patches in which we installed turf (both approximately 350 square feet). One was installed directly on a concrete slab; the other was on dirt after the crew removed about 5 tons of rocks and debris from a previous project. They finished the job in two days and left our property in pristine condition. We are completely pleased with our decision to go with HomeTurf. Our toddler has enjoyed every second of his time playing in his new yards.
These guys crushed it! I own an ocean view home in Bay Park. Over the last year we have been plagued by gophers. Between the gophers and wanting to lower maintenance costs we started calling turf installers for turf and gopher screen. I got 6 bids and selected Home Turf. Rich was my salesman and communicated clearly and often. I have been a Commercial General Contractor for 30 years and consider myself a tough customer. Gus was the lead Forman. His crew worked from the first moment to the last like an well oiled machine. They we're conscience of dust, neighbors and impeding traffic in front of my house. They showed up ready to work at 7am on the dot and completed the job in three days which others said 5 days. They cleaned up every day before they left. The work they did around the camphor tree roots in my back yard was artful and time consuming for which they did not charge an extra. I have other properties that I will look forward to having them work on.
From start to finish, HomeTurf was knowledgeable, professional, and reliable! The estimate process with Rich was a great experience. He was knowledgeable and provided me with great options and brought up other features I didn't think about. Two days later, Eric reached out to me to schedule the install. His team ready to go with the project soon after and they were always on time and worked in a timely matter. In about four days, HomeTurf turned my side yard into something I can look at with a smile. Prices were fair, but HomeTurf exceeded my experience!

Three Stars ___ ___ HomeTurf San Diego 1830 N. Marshall Avenue El Cajon, CA 92020 Front, both sides, and large backyard where artificial turf was installed in February, 2024, look nice. Rich said he would send a team member back to repair the fence post they broke, but no one ever came back to do it. I would probably up rate the experience, submit more attractive photos, and recommend this company if someone actually does come back and make it right. Looks like perhaps only a little welding would be needed to fix it. That would also up rate the assessment of value for the price I paid. read more

We had home turf do our front yard and all with the help of George Cova. Him and his crew worked SO hard and exceeded our expectations. We had many neighborhoods complement our turf almost immediately after getting it installed all saying how real it looks while asking who did it. I sent them all to home turf! We are now doing our backyard and had George out here to quote us. It's so reassuring to know I have nothing to worry about and that they will go above and beyond to make our yard beautiful! Thank you George and home turf! read more

We hired Home Turf to do our backyard landscaping, they did a great job, from our sales rep, Rich who was easy to work with and did a great job of capturing our wants to Leo and the installation crew, they were hard working, fast, also easy to work with and were very accommodating. We liked that they were able to do the turf as well as other landscaping wants, including placing our pavers, laying rock, installing sprinklers and planting. They did a great job of mounding the grass to give it a more natural look. Overall we LOVE how it turned out and would highly recommend Home Turf. read more

What can I say? I searched for months before I decided on Home Turf for my project. They offered a quality USA product at a competitive price that looks more real than any turf I've ever seen. Cale and his crew know how to take care of their customers. Don't fall for those companies that try to lure you in with $4.99/sqft only to upsell you to $10/sqft for inferior turf. Save yourself the trouble and call Home Turf for everyday honest low prices and quality work. PS. They have the best install team in the County. YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR SEAMS! I've driven around and seen some horrible installs with seams showing everywhere. This was my biggest fear, I couldn't be happier! read more

We got a handful of quotes for our 3000 square foot backyard and HomeTurf definitely came in at the right number. During our initial walkthrough of the space, Rich won us over when he talked to us about the importance of drainage and how early they could start! He was also not at all salesman-y. He was just nice and clear and efficient. I honestly don't know where to begin with this review: The team that came out to complete this MASSIVE project was amazing. They were here bright and early every morning and they were literal rays of sunshine the entire time. A huge thanks to Gus and his crew. My kids loved watching them make magic in the backyard and the highlight of the project was when Miguel let my 5 year old son take a very safe ride in the Bobcat. These guys really felt like family. The work itself is stunning. They asked questions when needed to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and we truly were in AWE that they were able to finish this project in 3 full days. Although it was a team of 7, they did the work of 25. The financing option worked great for our family bc we can pay this off over time, but we just moved into this house and we wanted the yard right away. Honestly, I never write reviews like this but I am just so stoked with the work. Seriously, get your quotes, read your reviews, and look at your past project pictures, but you will find that this team is a goldmine. Thanks, guys! Can't wait for you to build our fence next year! read more

It may sound excessive but it took 13 companies to finally realize I found the right company when I spoke with Rich. I was initially ready to go with the first few bids as it was affordable, but it took so long for the companies to respond to inquiries and often times, it almost felt like a burden to them to requote (as I wanted to add more to the project) that I started to feel that it was not going to be a good fit for us. After speaking with Rich, I felt confident that Home Turf is not only going to provide me with the best warranties and quality product (25 yr on turf, 10 yr labor), but also provide us with the best service. You do get what you pay for, and to me, it was all worth it! After 2 months of the project completion, I can attest that the service is still amazing. There were a few occasions that I needed some things done and have reached out to Rich for assistance. He immediately follow up and within a few days, sent someone out. Rich has been so wonderful to work with; he's upfront, honest, prompt with his responses, and great with communication. The crew, managed by Leo was also amazing. Everyone was very friendly, organized and easy to with with. I loved that they cleaned up after every visit, so no complaints about debris or cleanliness here. I'm also impressed that they were able to do my front and back yard + retaining wall in 7 days! Theyre super fast. Everything you can hope for to get in a company and their sales rep, you'll find with Home Turf and Rich! Great company with good people, can't asked for more! read more

My entire experience with HomeTurf was top-notch! I called and received quotes from over ten different synthetic grass companies. HomeTurf was by far the best price, and also able to build Paver stairs to my raised bed garden and install a paver border around my firepit. When it comes to contractors, I am very picky, and my wife is extremely picky. I had multiple quotes without itemized pricing, and those were all astronomical. Rich Cubin Itemized my quote and explained to me every step of the process. Another thing that drives me nuts is when contractors and crews do not tidy up their working areas. The Foreman for my job was Leo, and he made sure that my yard and the area in front of my house remained as clean and tidy as possible during the whole job. I have neighbors that will complain if there is a mess in the front for too long, and they didn't complain once. The grass they provide is awesome, and even my dogs absolutely love it! read more
