I was lied to; this practice is just wrong, and CARSTAR wasted my time - all over a minor repair job. You've earned a 1 star review; I hope losing a customer was worth it.

The amount of work that needed to be done was extensive and I was completely out of my element with what to do. I'm so glad I came to Center City. I don't want anyone to miss these key points I experienced so if you only read a little know this: Center City Collision has: Great Customer Service, Commitment to Quality and Safety, Excellent Communication. And here's why: Great Customer Service: I closed on a house the day my car was supposed to be ready and Chris told me not to worry and to just reach out to him when I was ready; that impressed me. The day I picked up the car, I called ahead and asked if they could check the gas tank (I seriously had just filled it up before the accident and after buying the house and paying for the car, I was a little budget conscious, lol). The receptionist (I can't remember her name but I know she's getting married so I want to give her a shout out ; )) gladly checked the gas level for me. Randy helped me get me situated in the car when I picked it up and encouraged me to contact with ANY questions or concerns. They also covered the rental car costs after my insurance coverage was up. Commitment to Quality and Safety: What impressed me the most was that they truly stood by their words that safety and quality were the most important considerations. There was a sensor that they could not reset without special equipment. They partnered with another shop, which spent $1K to update software, to be able to reset the airbag sensor. When that didn't work, they worked directly with the Subaru dealership to have the problem fixed. Excellent Communication: Due to the amount of work that needed to be done (basically had the front end of my car rebuilt), it took several weeks for the repairs to be completed. Chris contacted me consistently to give me updates and explain what was going on with the car. That sent my mind at ease. After the accident, the communication with the tow company and my insurance were not at all proactive. This was not at all the case with Center City. They made what was a pretty traumatic experience have a positive ending.

There was a month wait at the time and I was told it would take 2 weeks maybe 3 if they had to argue with the insurance company. Insurance company sent someone out appraised it and cut a check the day it was dropped off. I actually never heard from the body shop again until 3 weeks later when I was told my car would be done tuesday, Wednesday at the latest in a voicemail. I called the next Monday to make sure it would be done. Again, I was told it would be done. that Wednesday I called and was told that it would be done Thursday and that the headlight was on back order and they just assumed it would be there. when I picked the car up, the fender was misaligned and they said it was a quick fix and remained it worse and the headlight is still broken. They took payment and told the insurance company (through email because they wouldn't answer the phone for multiple days) the car was fixed. Insurance closed the claim and wont reopen it. 2 months later and my car is in worse shape than when I took it in

Though he couldn't guarantee it, he was honest with me. I called up Dan at Finneytown Collision and he recommended I stop by for him to give me a quote on replacing the mirror. The body shop is located in a convenient location near the corner of North Bend and Winton Rd. When I arrived, Dan was super friendly and informative. He gave me an estimate for replacing the mirror and the cost to paint it to match my car color if needed. The cost seemed fair, so I told him could go ahead and order the mirror.
