Excellent service. Car looks like new. Well worth the wait. I have taken four cars to him over the past few years. Always satisfied.

On October 4 I visited Store #5738 Newport, KY - 61 Carothers Rd and made an appointment to have a…read moremirror removed replaced on October 15. At that time I explained that an uninsured driver had hit the mirror and that I was pursuing compensation from the driver. The person I spoke to told me that because the trim piece for the mirror was undamaged they would be able to use it on the new mirror. Based upon this information I sent Firestone's quote to the driver who damaged the mirror and received payment in the amount of the quote. When I dropped the car off in the morning of the 15th I learned that the part had not been delivered but I was told that it should be there later in the day. I left my car at the store for several hours before receiving a call alerting me to the fact that part wouldn't be delivered that day, but that they would call me when the part arrived in order to make another appointment. My belief is that the part had not been ordered until the 15. On the 17th I received a call alerting me that the part had arrived, and I made an appointment for Saturday the 18th at 10:00 a.m. I dropped my car off on the 18th at 10:00 a.m. I did not receive a call to pick up my car on Saturday or Sunday morning, so at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday I called the store and learned that my car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the store I discovered that a snap for the trim piece from the old mirror had been broken and so the trim piece had not been installed. I now either have to live with the mirror lacking the trim piece or pay out of my own pocket to have the matching trim piece installed. I won't return to Firestone Complete Auto Care.

It came back with just some suggestions but nothing had to be done. That's very rare especially out of town. Makes a dad feel great that there is still honest people out there. Almost month later. And my car wasn't finished. I didn't get my car back until almost the end of September. They had to repair the driver's door and frame because a truck backed into it and put a large hole it and damaged it and the rear tire on the passenger side they said. I could not believe that they had my car so long. I had had another car repaired some years ago from a driver damaging the radiator and the front hood from hitting me in the front and the placevthat I took it to in Western Hills had it fixed in a week. That's crazy.

This store has a complete lack of regard for your expensive investment. Look at the picture and see…read morethe condition of it. The interior is covered with parts and dust. My advice for anyone taking your vehicle in for repairs is to make a unannounced visit to check on your vehicles progress. By stopping in you can make sure it is being worked on and it is being cared for. This is your vehicle and you have a right to check on it and take pictures if you want. I can not believe that the estimator, the managers, and any worker would have such a complete lack of concern about someone's personal property. If Gerber would do this to this vehicle they will or have done it to yours. I would also advise you have your vehicle inspected for workmanship. If you are not happy with your repair report it to your insurance company. I would not give second chances take it somewhere else. This may be the second most expensive investment you make and you deserve better.
