First of all, there are a few trades you want to be careful about going with the lowest bid…read more Concrete is one of them. You get a fly-by-night crew messing up your concrete, and there's no easy solution. I got three bids on my patio. Sione's was the most expensive. But in the walk-thru, Paul noticed things the other contractors didn't. He asked really good questions and provided a price quickly. His decades of experience was evident. So I decided to spend more and use him. He and his crew didn't disappoint. I wanted an arc on the end of the patio, and they worked on the form until I was happy with it. They answered all my questions and I had a lot. I'd overseen a lot of commercial concrete in my career, but was unfamiliar with several things they did during this residential job. It wasn't wrong, it was just unfamiliar. They explained why they were doing what they were doing, so I withheld judgment until the end. There were a couple of details in their prep work I wasn't happy with. They changed them without complaint or argument. And they cleaned up after they were done. On top of everything else, the crew was amazingly fast. Concrete is brutal work, but these guys moved like a well-oiled machine. The result was a beautiful product. No low spots, perfect slope, clean joint, beautiful radiused edges. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace my old driveway. And I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for quality concrete work.

They really seem to be good at many things, so just because their business name says "concrete construction", if you have any work that needs to be completed, call Paul and run it by him. Unfortunately, we have experienced a dishonest/unethical contractor in the past, and Paul has proved to be honest and has integrity with fair pricing.

Owner Tom Boulanger arrived on my doorstep in north Burien with an "extra asphalt" story, claiming they had some leftover from a street paving project in my neighborhood. He gave me a price to add and compact asphalt to about half of my driveway that day. He then was gone for a few hours, which indicated to me that they did not have extra asphalt but instead were soliciting for work. He then paved about a tenth of the area and said that was what he was doing for the price he had given me for the entire project. He continued to pave the half to which I had agreed then overcharged me on both price per square foot and total area covered. I paid him anyway and have regretted it ever since. Avoid this company and the owner!

The brick wall had developed significant cracks zigzagging through the mortar. The replacement process was quite involved as 1 or more feet of the wall above the lintels had to be removed. When they came out one of the lintels had rusted to the point that it could be bent by hand while the other had holes. Over about 3 days they replaced them and put back the original bricks. Now I can't tell that anything was ever wrong with the wall. The new mortar is a perfect match for the original. I have recommend Brick by Brick to a couple of other neighbors. And I'll be calling them back for other window and repointing with in the future.

From the very beginning, Candelario worked hard to stay within our budget while never compromising on quality. The proposal was emailed promptly by Maria, the business manager, who excelled in communication with all parties throughout the project. Having several trustworthy proposals on my desk and all within a similar price range there was one clear winner...Aguiar Pavers. All the important components were there including high quality materials. This company had my confidence and my business. The crew of 7, led by foreman Anderson, did outstanding work. As foreman, Anderson made onsite decisions that were brilliant and showed respect for my neighbors and my property. He worked right alongside the crew. The work progressed very quickly from demolition, and tree removal, to materials delivery, through excavation for the footings, quality drainage, wall building with backfill. They even moved my 6'x8' shed out of the way to build and then restored it to its original place! The crew clearly had a lot of respect for Anderson. They showed up early morning, worked a long day sometimes in the cold rain of December and never slowed their steady pace down. They tidied up the site at the close of each day and mitigated damage to existing pathways by putting plywood down to protect from heavy wheelbarrow loads. With the large crew my project was complete in 4 days! Nothing short of miraculous! I am very grateful for the work Aguiar Pavers did and highly recommend this company! 1st class, honest, knowledgeable!
