I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. First, previous owner remodeled the house from 1600 to 2200sq ft but never replaced the furnace, so a 3tons furnace could not have run a new 5tons A/C efficiently, then we went into the attic to be shown that the 46yr old ducts were literally falling apart and contained asbestos (what an inspector I got when I bought the house). They came back with a quote still 50% below what I expected it to turn into. So for 3.000.00 more than our other estimate we had the whole system replaced, even the registers. They were here the next weekend. Honesty by teaching you the whys. You know what you will get and why, so no BS. This system is much more powerful and very fast to cool the house, we even have an Ecobee thermostat with a sensor upstairs so it takes an average reading. you set the system to a minimum and maximum and forget about it, and yes, there's an app for it. Not a scratch or a speck of dust present when they left after 3 days of work.
