I spent a comprehensive amount of time perusing all of the different options in Los Angeles -- there are a lot of options -- and finally decided upon Rodent Professor based upon proximity and reviews. I wanted an estimate not only on rodent prevention but also disinfecting the basement and vacuuming up the existing rodent droppings. Since this is the first time I have used such a service, I did not know what sort of cost was involved and was surprised to see online estimates ranging into the thousands of dollars, so I prepared myself for the assumed cost. Nate from Rodent Professor came out promptly at the appointed time and inspected the entire house -- basement, attic, inside the house itself -- and pointed out several potential points of entry into the basement and attic. Later in the day, I received an estimate via email that was in the expected cost range but at the lower end. I decided to proceed with the work. Nate and crew showed up promptly on time and were very efficient in screening all of the openings in the house, in addition to disinfecting the basement and vacuuming. Since their service, I've heard nothing and seen nothing in terms of rodent activity. This positive review is based upon several aspects of their service: excellent communication, being on time, efficiency of work and total overall cost. Highly recommended.

After my initial call, I knew I had made the right choice. The agent who answered my call was very helpful, friendly, understanding, and professional. I scheduled an appointment, and after one treatment, all bug problems were gone. Fast forward to a week ago. I saw a single water bug run across my front lawn while watering. Fearing these pests had returned and taken over the bottom of my home, I called this company again. The agent I spoke with was very friendly and professional, just like the first time I called four years ago. I arranged an inspection at a time that fit my schedule, which I really appreciated, unlike other companies that just tell you when they're available. On the day of my appointment, Joe came out and did a full inspection. Joe told me he found moisture in two areas under my home (I will contact a plumber soon), but the good news is that he didn't see any live water bugs--only a few dead ones. Joe was very friendly and polite, taking time to explain several options his company offers to prevent bugs from coming back. I will be using this company in the upcoming weeks for prevention. Joe also said there would be no charge for his visit--thank you! From start to finish, the customer service from this company on two separate occasions has been outstanding, and I truly appreciate it. Who knew the company that installed my ac would cause me so many issues creating holes in my vents, and opening my crawl space. Thank god all the rats were gone. I then contacted the company again because of spiders and other bugs that started coming into my house. I also had slight termite damage. I contacted Jesse again and he explained the process of tenting. Jesse set me a YouTube video of how to prepare and what to expect. I know I was a bit much with all my questions, but Jesse from Ikill pest control didn't show any frustration and answered all my questions. I had forgot To bag some things and some expensive medication before we left for fumigation, and they actually did it for me. They were a lot cheaper than a lot of other company's I inquired about and I feel like as much time as they spent talking me through this issues, they are underpaid. I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

I honestly don't even know where to begin. This was hands down the most unprofessional, careless, and stressful service experience I've ever had. The technician showed up late, with no communication, and immediately seemed rushed and uninterested. He barely inspected anything, ignored multiple areas I specifically pointed out, and brushed off my concerns like they were an inconvenience. What's worse--after the "treatment," the issue actually got worse. We started seeing more activity than before, not less. When I called to follow up, customer service gave me the runaround, transferred me multiple times, and eventually stopped responding altogether. No accountability. No urgency. No solution. To top it off, they still had the nerve to charge full price for a service that clearly wasn't completed properly. I had to hire another company to come in and fix the mess they left behind. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This company should be ashamed of how they operate. I will start by saying Home Shield is the absolute best in the business and I would recommend to anyone! When my family was experiencing multiple issues -- ants, rodents, flies, the list goes on it felt impossible and I tasked my husband to find a friendly and reliable company. He did some research and found Home Shield. From the moment they arrived I knew this was the right place. The attention to detail, different options based on what we felt comfortable spending and guarantee that they would fix the issues were all top notch. We heard some scratching sounds in the ceiling and saw rodent droppings around the house so we decided to get some professional help. Dee came over and did a thorough inspection of the house: exterior, interior, basement and attic. He found evidence of recent rat activity and was very knowledgeable in explaining their behavior and how they get into the house. I had spotted a hole under the roof ease on an exterior wall that looked like it gave access to the interior of the home and had them check it out. On inspection they stated it looked like drill holes, and they were pretty sure it was construction and to double check with anyone who did recent work. They also climbed up into the attic and double checked that side for any evidence of pests (none). I was impressed with their honesty and professionalism. If I have a pest related issue I know who I will want to contact.

Later in the day, I received an estimate via email that was in the expected cost range but at the lower end. I decided to proceed with the work. Nate and crew showed up promptly on time and were very efficient in screening all of the openings in the house, in addition to disinfecting the basement and vacuuming. Since their service, I've heard nothing and seen nothing in terms of rodent activity. I was in the needed for a someone to removed two wasp nest under the house eves after Ruben removed the wasp nest he did a walk through around the property to make sure there was no additional nest forming.
