Not a big beer drinker and hops are not my specialty but I like flavor so this was a new adventure on our travels. Owner is fun and knowledgeable. There are a great variety of beers on tap and flights are the best way to go when trying them. I picked the cranberry blonde ale that was so perfectly balanced I purchased a growler to bring home. The apple sauced with caramel and sugar on the rim was amazing. Same with the serving of cries of the carrots with rimmed glass. Owners wife's favorite by the way. Fresh popcorn was a good snack to compliment the beers we selected. The resin fossil was so smooth and tasty my friend got a growler of it. There is a huge piece of land, back porch with a beautiful view, picnic tables, band stage, etc. Too chilly this sunny fall day, but we will be back.

Homer Hops has become our go to place for a night out! Very spacious so great if you want to get a bigger group together. They actually bring in really talented local musicians. Usually I am not a fan of local music, but they usually have some good ones booked. I especially love when one of the owners - Steve Romer plays! I don't drink beer but my husband likes their craft beers. Even our aunt who doesn't usually like craft beers has a favorite there! Luckily they have other options for us non-beer drinkers - local wines, seltzers and ciders. I wish they would get more wine options (maybe a Pinot Grigio, or sauvignon blanc ), but I know they are not about the wine so I can't dock them there. I love love love how dog friendly they are! I love their cute drinking buddy bandana's that my sweet doodle is showing off at home in the photos attached. In the summer their yard is so spacious with picnic tables spread around that it is perfect for dog families! They really have thought of everything too! They don't offer food for purchase (other than bagged chips) but they bring in food trucks and other vendors to sauvignon blanc offer food, whichy makes it handy. Just a heads up though- sometimes the food vendors only accept cash! On the nights they don't have food trucks they have QR codes on the table for you to order delivery from several local eateries! It's like going to five places in one!! They have a wide selection of card and board games available. Free fresh popped popcorn for grabs. Corn hole outside in the summers. They are simply a great place to gather with friends or family. And they get an A++ for cleanliness! Everything looks perfect - bathroom, bar, outside areas - super tidy and spotless. It is great to see them thriving! I hope they stay around for years to come.

If you like good beer, go check out this brewery. Lots of selection from ipa's to stouts. The outside area is vast, with lots of picnic tables covered and uncovered. The inside is a good size and have stages for live music, inside and out. Super impressed with Homer Hops!

This is one of my favorite places to get a delicious cocktail and yummy appetizer in Cortland. I've…read morebeen here a few times and every time I visit I'm always greeted by the staff with such welcoming energy. I'm always excited to try something from their seasonal cocktail menu because there's always something new with a fun name and great flavor. My friend and I stopped in and tried the Gingerbread Espresso Martini and the Santa Clausmo. Both drinks were fantastic! We also ordered the Loaded Fries and they were sooo good. They come on a large plate and there was more than enough for us to share. This was also a great choice because they are gluten free and vegan. My friend has a gluten allergy so it was nice having an option on the menu for her. They also have a lot of other gluten free and vegan options. Good vibes and great service every time!

The menu was adequate and had a good variety of items. I had a side salad which was great! Fresh mixed greens with a few other vegetables. Then came the Caprese Pizza. It was very bland and blah. There was no real flavor to it. I think they forgot to put the garlic sauce on it. The crust was crisp, very thin. The place hasn't changed much since Brix took it over many years ago. It's very dark. The acoustics are poor as the place is loud. I imagine with a crowd, it would be hard to hear the people at your own table. I had a pleasant time with friends. If I go back, I definitely will try something else. The Caprese Pizza just didn't cut it for me.

They have a very limited menu (roast beef sandwich, bowl of chips and hummus bowl). The bartender was fantastic! We'd definitely visit again when in the area.

We had the chance to try some great beers, and one unique experience stood out: mixing two beers together, a concept similar to a blend in the wine world. As the bartender put it, "It's a game we like to play." On tap, they had a solid lineup: 1. Hector Logger - A traditional lager (4.9% ABV) 2. Goatmaster Kölsch - A crisp Kölsch (5.1% ABV), which I tried and really enjoyed 3. RedBeard - A Red Ale (5% ABV), a reliable go-to beer 4. Cream Ale - A bit different at 6.7% ABV, more robust than the typical lower-ABV versions 5. Golden Crush - A hazy IPA (5.1% ABV) that had nice fruit-forward notes, but not overpowering 6. X IPA - An Imperial IPA (7.8% ABV) Mosaic! Mosaic! - A Pale Ale (5.2% ABV) that followed the traditional pale ale profile and was very enjoyable 7. Goatmeal Stout - An Oatmeal Stout (8.1% ABV) Then came the blends--something I hadn't seen much of before. The only one I tried was 1. Goat Juice, a 50/50 mix of Hazy IPA and Kölsch (5.1% ABV). It was bursting with amazing flavors, the best of both worlds. Some of their other blends included: 2. Red X - A mix of Red Ale and Imperial IPA 3. Goatgasm - A Kölsch and IPA blend 4. Headbutt - A Stout and Cream Ale combo I tend to gravitate toward Hazies, Kölsches, and Pale Ales, so this place hit all the right notes for me. I can't wait to come back and see what new creations they have on tap next time!
