I had a complicated situation and Tom from Homeport inspection was there to solve it while also providing excellent and professional service. On Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday to be exact, found the home I wanted. After negotiating price and coming to an agreement, Sellers of the home wanted to get contract signed on Wednesday. I had a inspection with Tom (engineer), his dad (retired Suffolk building inspector) and their crew last week in East Norwich. Look no further for any other inspector, they are truly the best. When I arrived at our scheduled appointment their crew immediately had a ladder on the house inspecting the roof and chimney. They thoughly checked out every single corner of the entire house - roof, attic, basement, garage, electric, heat system, back yard - truly every corner. They also had a licensed termite inspector with them that checked everywhere. They spend a eronomous amount of time checking everything and also took the time out to explain everything properly. Their excellent report, with lots of photos was very detailed and accurate. Truly helped us make the right decision to move forward to buy the house. Their reasonably price was well worth every penny. They are not the most expensive but the most detailed to protect your money and investment. read more

Tom was amazing. I would highly recommend him for any home inspection. He was honest, forthcoming of all findings and super thorough. He spent more than 4 hours inspecting our house. This is an update to my previous review. We did not end up buying the home in November since it turned out to need more updates than we could afford. Fast Forward to March 2016. New house with an accepted offer, so we needed a new inspection. We did not hesitate in calling Tom to complete the inspection. We scheduled the inspection in less than 24 hours with Tom. The inspection was completed at 6:30pm and we had the inspection report by 8am the next morning. Tom, as in the previous inspection, was thorough, honest and detailed. He answered our incessant questions with calm demeanor. Honestly, he did a great job and just cares which we have found is lacking in many parts of the real estate business. I was very overwhelmed by the entire process of purchasing a home. I have no experience in this process and have never had to maintain a home before. Tom and Bill helped put me at ease right off the bat by explaining very simply everything that I needed to know and why my family should care about it.
