My project was to fix a circuit in the garage so that the light switch only turns on the light and not the garage door opener. Additional quotes were requested for installation of an outlet on a kitchen island. Jason also suggested we upgrade our electrical panel from 100amp to 200amp. Quotes were provided and we decided to only do the garage work. Scheduled start Monday morning. On Sunday evening I decided to install a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms but there's not fixture there. Jason responded quickly and after discussing, said they could get it done on the same day. John and his apprentice showed up at the earlier portion of the promised time. John checked out the garage and the bedroom along with the attic access, laid out for me what they were going to do, and got to work. The work was absolutely professional. They were courteous and informative and no nonsense. I will definitely be calling on Big Sky Electric for the projects that I put off. You can trust this company with your home electrical work. read more

I saw Big Sky's positive Yelp reviews and decided to give them a call since I was looking for an electrician to install an EV home charger in my garage. I'm glad I did! Jason and Jon were great to chat and work with. Jon and his coworker were right on time and completed the work in no time. Jason also quoted me a fair and very reasonable price for the job. Super friendly people who did a clean, efficient, and quality job. Very happy! read more

Big Sky Electric - Tesla home wall connector installed. Great job by Big Sky! - Electricians Near Me - Bayport, New York

Big Sky is my go to electrical work choice. Why? They're professional, cordial, prompt, and fairly reasonable.

Used Big Sky for a big job recently. Before moving in, Jason's crew upgraded the panel, rewired some appliances, added a ton of high hats and fixures where no prior wires existed in the ceilings, etc... we were very pleased! Every single one of Jason's crew members, as well as Jason's, were respectful and kind.... just decent people... every one. The damage left was minimal and way less than we expected. When does that ever happen? It was a pleasure doing business with them and we will 1000% call them for future electrical work. PS we spoke to or met with over a dozen electricians and Jason checked every box.... the only one who did. read more

The Big Sky technician was extremely professional, educational and pleasant. I watched and he explained exactly what he was doing and how he determined what needed to be replaced. I hired Big Sky to install an outdoor ceiling fan in an open pergola. They were able to come do the work quickly, they did a great job (a week later and it's still working!). I'd have them back. read more

Jason and team installed 8 light fixtures + 3 LED recessed lights for us, including one 130 pound high chandelier and one 90 pound two chain fixture. The chandelier requires additional work in the attic to make sure it can hold the weight. They were very profession and efficient, and cleaned up everything when done. The entire projects were done within 6 hours and everything is perfectly installed. Some of the new lights that we bought have smaller base compared to the old ones, Jason even helped bring in professional to fix the gap and really offered one-stop experience. I'd highly recommend Big Sky Electric to anyone who need professionals for their electric projects. read more

Best contractor we worked with on our home addition. Jason and his guys were always professional, safe, hard working and knowledgeable. Great Generac installation an EV car charger as well as a 200 amp service. Flawless. Highly recommended.

They arrived as promised and did what was requested. No surprises. Crew was friendly.

Second time I've used this company! HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- Woke up this morning with no heat. Called the heating company and they told me I had a bad wire from my panel to the switch and it needed to be replaced. I called Big Sky and they told me they would be here between 11-1. Got a call around 10:12 that the electrician was on his way. Jon arrived and did a great job. Thanks so much. read more

Big Sky always sends great electricians that are clean and fast. Pricing is fair and Jason always gets involved to be sure that the process is smooth. I always call them for the electric at my house. read more

Very pleased - so happy to find Big Sky. We put out a request for pricing thru Yelp. Big Sky was one of only two electricians to reply quickly. The others? 1-3 days later. Big Sky hung the fan perfectly and disposed of the old one. They put everything back into place as if they had never been there. There was also a misunderstanding (on our part) on one issue - Big Sky honored it - and they certainly didn't have to. The North Fork is plagued by awful service and bad attitudes. We've experienced it for 5 decades now. We're thrilled to have electricians as professional and honorable as Big Sky. read more

My mom's 1950's main breaker finally kicked the curb and she was without power. I called these guys and they got a truck over and had the job finished within 3 hours of my initial phone call. My mom said they were extremely nice. They even crawled through the basement windows to avoid trudging dirt through the house (we didn't ask them to do that). The price was reasonable and the service was fast and the new breaker box looks great. They even catered to my mom's request of getting a 3rd party electrical heater working. Thank you so much! read more

Quick estimate. Scheduled job immediately. They did a great job - friendly, good work, cleaned-up! Highly recommend.

I needed to figure out my electrical situation on my recently purchased home. Jason had no problem answering questions and guiding me through the process and how it would go. Being new to this home ownership thing myself, Jason was extremely patient and walked me through the steps of obtaining an Electrical Inspection Certificate. Thanks Jason! Highly recommended! read more

Jason and his team absolutely set me up perfectly. Had a real big job upgrading my panel to 200 amp, running electric through my yard to the pool, the shed, and hot tub area. He and his team did such an amazing job, I had them back 2 weeks later to do my high hats in my living room. Book him even if you need to wait a week or two. It's worth it. read more

Big Sky Electric did a great job on two projects throughout my entire house; installed high hats in all rooms, added new outlets and switches, and converted fluorescent fixtures to LED. The team was very professional; showed up on time, personable, respectful to the fact I work from home (quiet), and very clean; wore shoe covers, covered everything, and clean up. Overall, I highly recommend Big Sky Electric for their high quality work. read more

I just recently bought a house that needed a lot of work but the first thing I wanted done was my outdoor lighting with motion detectors for safety reasons. I called a few electricians but no one got back to me timely and/or their quotes were pretty high. Then Big Sky Electric was recommended to me by a friend who had used them before.  I was so pleased to deal with a company I could trust.  Jason was so understanding of my needs, he sent his team over and I had my lights the next evening.  The best surprise was the price, it was less than all the other quotes and I also got some great pointers regarding future projects. I will definitely be hiring Big Sky Electric again. read more

Usually I will offer a review of a line or two but I felt this review needed a bit more, so please read in full. Sunday May 23rd, 2021 I had a large tree branch fall on power line leading to my house while some trees were being removed and bent the mast to my house to about 90 degrees. Line started to smoke as it got pinched. Siding got ripped and wire was hanging dangerously low to the ground. I called PSE&G. (Useless) I am pretty desperate for some help. I randomly Google electrician and find Big Sky and their owner Jason. Big Sky had 14 previous 5 star ratings on Google/Yelp so why not give them a shot late afternoon on a Sunday. Jason picks up the phone at about 6:30 and spends probably 45 minutes speaking with me, looking at pictures I sent him and even face timing with me so he can evaluate my electrical situation. I was scared for my families safety of course. He assured me it was safe, quoted a price based on what he could see but also said it could cost a bit more money if the wire needed to be changed out. We touched base in morning and he dispatched his crew. His team of Vinny and Riecar show up next day around 2 pm which was earlier than promised and job was completed perfectly within 2 hours at the exact price discussed the evening before. They worked clean, they worked safe as I hovered around them keeping an eye on things as I often do when I hire people to work around my house. Very grateful and will surely recommend!! 5 STARS across the board. Jason's employees reflect their boss, it always trickles down!! read more

These guys were great. Showed up on time and installed my Ring Floodlight in about 10 mins. I'd trust them for a bigger job next time.

The owner Jason was very professional and the teams' work was exactly as requested. I would recommend this company.

Found this co on Yelp figured I give them a shot. So glad I did. One of their guys is like a Blood Hound. Won't stop till he finds the problem. I have an old split level, so I can appreciate that. Finally found the problem but what they had to go through to fix it was another story. Soffits and such for a couple of switches. Wow! I would recommend these guys to everyone I know. Having them back as soon as I can. read more

Jason and his team did a great job in fixing all my electrical issues after moving into my new house. Highly recommended!

Long overdue, I've used Jason and his team for the new house through all our renovations. From attic fan to electric panel, to kitchen cabinet lighting. Punctual, professional and fair. They always worked with me to get it done and in some cases worked around my schedule and contractors schedules. read more

Professional, experienced, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I can't recommend enough. Jason was by far the best out of all of the electricians my team and I met with. No others were even close. He cares about safety and efficiency first, while the others just seem to care about charging as much as possible and everything else is secondary. I recommend highly! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED STOP SEARCHING... I don't write reviews so I am going to keep it simple. New home owner, had issues with breaker box after internet installation by a big time internet provider went bad, as a result power went down in the whole house. The boys at Big Sky Electric responded to my needs in record time. In this corona virus times I was panicking because not all businesses are running but they made the whole experience pleasant. They were professional and remained human yet kept their distance and practiced safe measures at all time. I felt like a knew these guys my whole life they were honest and explained every step needed to get the my electrical needs back and running up and running 100%. They even went and bought the box that I needed installed. read more

I wanted to express my gratitude to Jason and his professionalism. He immediately answered my request for a quote and he was civil with his greeting and response. He made an appointment for the next day and he was at the appointment on time. My mom's thoughts of Jason was that she found him knowledgeable and very professional. He immediately provided a quote through email. He was very attentive to my Mom's electricity problem. I thought his pricing was reasonable. Both Andrew and Tor were just as professional as Jason. By the way they work, it was evident that they know how to work as a team to get the job done; and you can tell that they knew what they were doing and they were very accommodating in regards to what we needed done. And they also provided recommendations. I would recommend Big Sky Electric to anyone because I respect civility, reliability, professionalism and quality work. They display these qualities which is rarely seen today. Thank you Big Sky Electric for making my Mom happy with your services and I hope you get more business. read more
