This place is the worst. I've lived here for years, and I never go, but I caved today. I had to get a money order and bread so I went. Worst idea ever. I went to customer service, and asked the older woman there is she could help. She looks at me, snaps "I'm busy, you'll have to wait 15 minutes!", and goes to texting on her phone. This wasn't a teenager or child, just a mean, surly woman who didn't want to do anything. So rude! The store is filthy. The bathroom has a layer of stink and grime so thick that your shoes stick on the way in. There's barely any soap and the knobs of the bathroom have all sorts of visible germs. The floors of the store, also sticky, dusted in flour,hairs, and whatever else. She shelves with food are dusty, and there's a smell on certain parts of the frozen section. Customer service doesn't exist. There's no greeting, no smiles, and no work being done. They implemented some self checkout machines that people just hang around. They used to make food in house, but I guess they don't anymore. The prices are crazy high--Tom Thumb without a membership high. The coupon system is a joke. I've been here a while and stopped coming when one of the cashiers crashed out on a customer and no one helped. But I guess seeing the recent commercials gave me hope. Guess I learned my lesson. Terrible customer service. A food product that is not readily available in the area was listed on the Justin store's website for not one, but for TWO different items. Clicked on the store's link, and found them listed. I'm not close to this location, but made the trip. I was excited. They didn't have either product, nor was there even an empty slot or two on the shelf for them. Contacted the company website, and I was sent a generic "sorry" reply. What annoyed me was a "you should call ahead" message. So, a new customer comes to your store, and you don't even bother to say "we don't offer that here" or a "sorry for our mistake." Nope. This store is way over priced and their deals aren't any savings. Just go up the road to Walmart or have Walmart deliver groceries to you it's a lot cheaper. I don't trust the store that keeps meat sitting out and baskets. Their deli is always full of flies. The old lady in the deli is extremely rude. All she wants to do is leave. The baked goods are gross. We got a "brownie" it was not a brownie but a over cooked thick cake. read more

9/19/22: Came here to fill up after our vehicle inspection across the street at The Finish Line (which was 5 stars). It said $3.06, but when we got to the pump (didn't work, had to go around to another one), it said $3.13. Should've gone to a cheaper one. This seemed like a bait & switch, like they see customers driving up, and change the price on the machines! I wouldn't come here again. I'll get gas at Costco or Buc-ee's. But there's a bakery here (so random lol), so there's that. read more

Visited our kids in Justin. Went to pickup groceries and stock their brand new home before we arrived. It would've been cheaper and better quality to have gone to the Allsups around the corner. I understand that they can demand a bit of a premium for convenience but this is straight highway robbery. At least 50 percent higher than Tom Thumb or Kroger. Plus the quality and service were not good. You can buy cheaper beer at a Cowboy's game. read more

I grew up right down the street from here in the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s. In the 1970s, this place did not exist. It was just another cow pasture. At that time, the only grocery store in Justin was Virgil's Fine Foods, located downtown where Outlaw Burgers & BBQ is currently. Then in the mid-80s, someone built this atrocity, and they called it Burrus Supermarket. In no time, Burrus put ol' Virgil Eaves' place right out of business. Afterward, Burrus began its history of providing rotten, overpriced produce along with an assortment of expired merchandise to the good citizens of Justin. Nowadays they call this place Homeland, and from what I can tell from the few times I have popped in, only one thing has really changed: They sell beer and wine now. read more

Although convenient when you need something, their prices are way higher. Needed eggs and for a store brand, they wanted over $15.00 for 18 large eggs! Seriously?? Walmart has them for a little over $5.00. I asked and they said it's due to the bird flu epidemic. Huh. I think it's due to greediness. read more

Found homeland to be a very overpriced grocery store. Everything is a dollar to two more than other big chain grocery stores. It's not a large store with a small selection to choose from. Also for an employee owned store, the employees are not very friendly. I had to wait 5 minutes while two employees were behind the counter chatting. Conoco Fuel Pumps work fine on straight cc fuel purchases but FAIL to give advertised discounts when used in conjunction with the Fuel Forward app and the Synchrony Discover card. These failures have been a problem for the PAST 5 YEARS. Have called and e-mailed both Conoco Customer Service and Homeland Customer Service and the have gotten nothing more that EXCUSES for the past 5 years. The level of ineffectiveness (and possible incompetence) is incomprehensible. Why bother going to this location at all? read more

The lady in the deli department is EXTREMELY rude! Darker hair, more mature. Last time I will ever get anything from the deli counter! We walked up and she says "what do you want"? We were looking to see what deli meats Homeland offered. We said please give us a minute. She huffed and in the same rude tone says "well let me know". Again, NEVER again! read more

Paige, for the second visit, has been extremely disrespectful to my family. When in her line at checkout, she never acknowledges us after we ask how she is. She doesn't speak a word to us (with her airpods in), and acts annoyed when we aren't prompted that she's ready for us to pay. This store is a joke and has been for years. Justin should put in a Kroger, or store that has higher standards. I've lived in Justin for over 12 years and have always heard bad things about this store, yikes! read more

If this is the only place you have to shop its decent at best. I walked in and turned my head left to right seeing what all they had. My mission was just to pick up some fresh berries. What I had seen was a very limited section with mad looking employees all over the place. Before the store was redone it was disgusting. I can say after the redo of the store all they did was remove the flys. The massive prices they charge I feel bad for anyone using this place as the drive to the not so better Walmart in Roanoke is worth the time taken . read more

I like this store because it's small, easy to get to, fast in and out, and has a pretty good selection and prices for a small market. Most of the employees are friendly and have a good customer service-oriented attitude, but some need more than a little awakening. For example, I've been to the deli several times around 6:30 p.m., and each time the woman working there has told me they've closed early "today" for cleaning. When asked what time the deli normally closes, she always says 7:00 p.m. So it seems the deli really closes at 6:30 p.m. or earlier because she wants to get out of work early. I've encountered several other employees with poor or lazy attitudes, for example listening to their cellphones or iPods when dealing with you. This is unfortunate for both customers and the store as they must be losing a lot of money because of it. read more

Super Save is close to our house in Ponder. It's closer than Kroger in Denton and you don't have to get on 35 to go there. They are a fully stocked grocery store with whatever you need. The lady who helped me was very friendly and eager to make me feel like a valued customer. We'll be back for sure. read more
