Worse service at order pick up. Why? Amazo from now on. No one there to answer where to get large items. Small packages get spit out the front of the machine. I guess a work in progress. But Roanoke is a marginal Walmart for most everything.

This is the closet grocery store we have to us sad to say. If you need produce just go elsewhere. The people stocking it will tell you Tom Thumb is down the road cause it's so bad. Since the store was given a new head manager this place has been nothing but trouble. Great products not in stock anymore making us shop other places for little things. Like I stated above the produce is horrible almost always smells weird or has mold on it. Yesterday I had to point out to an employee that all the raspberries had mold on them and sitting next to the blackberries I did not want to chance it. Looked on the other side with the strawberries and no surprise those were molded as well. The rest of the store I can only say has some young rude kids working. I asked a young gentleman with glasses where i could find something and he was looking in a magazine telling me "i dont know" i replied are you on break, he said no and walked off. Not all employees are bad apples but that one needed an attitude adjustment for sure.

Seriously?!... How is this acceptable. I have noticed over the past couple of months that the shelves are empty and nothing seems to be in stock, or at least put out. I thought maybe this was a me problem until I saw it posted in the neighborhood Facebook group and my family mentioning it. This is now an every visit thing, nothing seems to be stocked even on not busy days. I'm not sure if this is due to supply and demand affected by Covid but no other grocery store around here seems to be having this problem... Do better Walmart

My car that I now need to make sure is not jacked up.

By far the worst garden and plant care I've ever seen. This Walmart has literally killed 80% of plant life from straight up neglect. So sad!

They carry a well-edited array of mostly their own private label brands with a global perspective. You will always find something special here that's exciting! To keep things interesting, they have seasonal offerings that keep in step with the time of year. For example, be sure to grab one of their Gobbler Rolls with turkey, stuffing cranberry sauce and gravy... you will not be disappointed! That being said, sometime the products miss the mark, but there's way more hits than misses. Definitely try their Green Goddess Salad, Mini Oatmeal Cookies, Mac n' Cheese and their flavored yogurts. Some of the misses are snacks that are just too sweet like their cereal bars. But for the most part, the products are adventurous and quite good- especially at the very reasonable prices they charge. Something that really makes the TJ stand out is the amazing service. When I checked out, the cashier was so friendly and chatty, all the while paying special attention to detail when bagging my groceries. She was like a 3-D Tetris Master bagging groceries, and taking care to double bag. She had so much skill, and I really got the impression she loved her work. It made me realize the only place I ever have someone else bag my groceries is at Trader Joe's. Makes total sense because every time I've been to a TJ's regardless of location, the checkout experience is always exceptional. In today's grocery world, it's mostly self-checkout and Trader Joe's stands out to me as a company that knows their business and has a lot of integrity. Well done Trader Joe's. I appreciate the great value, bountiful array of quality food and the overall pleasantness of the shopping experience.

If you are new to Indian food a great place to start is Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. As you start to understand the flavor profiles you interests will grow. If you have questions you can use AI to look up what the dishes might look like and flavor profiles. Another great option is to find a friend who enjoys Indian food and they help with flavor profiles. The ready made food they keep a series of finger food, naan ( flat bread) and specialty items. Then they have a separate cabinet for cakes and sweets. I would stress to be conscious of your spice levels. My preference is hot and I enjoy the heat. When trying new Indian dishes I get mild because they blend the spices and it can seem spicer. Yogurt and naan bread can help with this. Right now, we are working our way through this massive menu trying to find that dish that calls out to us. It's a darn tasty process. Chicken Dum Biryani (Medium, $16.99) - The rice was perfectly fragrant and cooked, layered with tender chicken and spicy sauce. Chicken Tikka Masala (Medium, $14.99) - Served with rice and Tandoor Roti, the sauce was creamy, balanced, and very aromatic, complementing the grilled chicken. Chettinad Chicken Curry (Medium, $14.99) - This dish packed a punch with authentic South Indian spices, paired with rice and warm Tandoor Roti. Bold, aromatic, and very satisfying. Pickup experience: this business is very busy, and expect crowds. This is a social event as much as a meal. The pickup was smooth and convenient. The order was ready on time, and all items were packaged appropriately. Desi Chowrastha offers a reliable, authentic Indian experience in Northlake. Food: 5 out of 5. Staff: 5 out of 5. My friends ordered the onion samosas, chicken 65, punugulu, and onion pakora, and while their food came out surprisingly fast, the tea service was a different story. I ordered the Irani Chai, which was decent and tasted very similar to what you'd find in the Dallas area. However, the service for the tea was super slow. We, along with several other customers, had to wait in line for over 10 minutes before the staff even noticed us. It's a nice spot for a quick snack, but they definitely need to improve the flow at the tea counter!

I went to customer service, and asked the older woman there is she could help. She looks at me, snaps "I'm busy, you'll have to wait 15 minutes!", and goes to texting on her phone. This wasn't a teenager or child, just a mean, surly woman who didn't want to do anything. So rude! The store is filthy. The bathroom has a layer of stink and grime so thick that your shoes stick on the way in. There's barely any soap and the knobs of the bathroom have all sorts of visible germs. The floors of the store, also sticky, dusted in flour, hairs, and whatever else. She shelves with food are dusty, and there's a smell on certain parts of the frozen section. Customer service doesn't exist. There's no greeting, no smiles, and no work being done. They implemented some self checkout machines that people just hang around. They used to make food in house, but I guess they don't anymore. The prices are crazy high--Tom Thumb without a membership high. The coupon system is a joke. I've been here a while and stopped coming when one of the cashiers crashed out on a customer and no one helped. But I guess seeing the recent commercials gave me hope. Guess I learned my lesson.
