This place is the biggest garbage heap of a store I've ever been in. I've seen Wal-Mart after Black Friday more organized and clean. Can't find a single thing since there is absolutely NO rhyme or reason to the inventory inside. How they stayed in business is beyond me. I had to go in to look for a picture they supposedly stocked for my wall. Did not find what I was looking for and the employees on the floor were as clueless as I was. Horrible mess of a store. You're better off shopping at a flea market! Better yet, I've seen way cooler stuff at the Assistance League and the money goes to a good cause. read more

One of my favorite stores to go to for gourmet foods and other little extravaganzas that one doesn't really need but likes to have. I usually go once a month because the coffee there is the best and less expensive than the local market. I would like to send a message to the Store management at the Valencia shop. Some reason I always have the same cashier every time I come in - Brooke. Brooke is the perfect example of what customer service should be in every store and in every location across the country. She goes the extra mile to make sure that you're smiling and have been served adequately. She is a credit to your store and your company. It is so nice to see someone who clearly loves their job and even if they are having a hard day, goes out of their way to serve the customer. Well done home goods! Well done Brooke! Thanks again. I had a nice experience shopping here thank to the professionalist of Cynthia Isabel, a cashier who apparently was in her first day of work. This Home Goods is one of the better locations I have been to. Lots of treasures can be found, but the trick is to look in between. Home Goods in general has a lot of options, but only a few of each item so if you snooze you lose. Hehe Most of the pieces are pretty trendy so you pay for that, but the quality isn't the greatest. I get a lot of nick nacks and decor items here but I'm not a huge fan of buying furniture here, due to the quality (unless it's something small like an accent chair). Fair warning, this place will suck you in and your wallet will take a beating. FYI if there is no price tag on the item (furniture items) look on the back or bottom... they write a series of numbers on the back and the last 3 numbers is usually the price. Sometimes they tag things with a higher price so just take a look on the back and make sure the tag matches the back number. The piece is just bought was tagged for 299 and the back number said 230. So they honored the 230 pricing. Happy shopping! read more

Since her light was on and it was a good question... then Amy started yelling and even ran around register to yell at this lady. Amy the employee cussed and yelled at a customer. I only got into line because there was 8 people in front of me. I waited 35 minutes in the heat of the day. I actually needed something at that time so spare me saying I should've gone back later. Home Goods is a cool cross between Target and Goodwill; they've got super cute things and super cheap prices! The store is big and divided into easily discernible home sections like kitchen, decor, bathroom, and bedroom. They even have some furniture too. I can never just go to the one section that I actually came in for, but feel the need to wander every square inch, wishing I can justify the need for that gorgeous giant clock or chaise lounge. I have shopped at Home Goods for several years and I love their products and prices. However I have never had such poor customer service. My mother was making a small purchase and at the conclusion of the transaction did not receive a receipt. She was concerned about not having proof of the purchase and is not tech savvy enough to feel comfortable relying on online banking. The computers were having an issue and so my mother waited to see if they could resolve the issue. One of the cashiers found that this was an appropriate time to point and laugh and make fun of my mother due to her request. I understand that this may have been a small matter and I have worked customer service before and understand how taxing it can be. However, belittling your customers has guaranteed I will not shop at this store again. read more

TJ MAXX watch out!! Today, I swerved over 3 lanes of traffic to stop into my friendly neighborhood Home Goods. This is an outlet for home, bath and kitchen accessories. Hey- I needed a gift and as I almost drove right by, I decided that that was the perfect place! I knew what I wanted. I walked and found just what I was looking for. A teapot. Oh, but not just any old teapot; I got a Chinese cast iron teapot. The best part: $19.99! Substantial gift. Happy, happy, happy. I even had a pleasant conversation with the cashier. read more

Wow. What bad customer service we experienced today.... Went to the store today as we normally do on any given Saturday as loyal customers. Proceeded to purchase two lamps which we found. However, one of the shades had an imperfection. So, when we went to pay we asked about this and if anything could be done. The cashier, who was trying to be helpful, but could not authorize any type of adjustment and proceeded to call over the manager, Rosie, to assist us. When she was shown the defect in the shade, she immediately, without discussion and with a very terse attitude, said: " There is nothing wrong with this and I will not discount it at all." She was extremely rude and would not even continue the conversation. At that point we said we would not purchase the lamps at all. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Now, in a normal customer service environment and one in which stores wish to make sure the experience is a good one, a competent and well trained manager would search for a solution to the customers concern, i.e: "Lets see if we can find replacement shades." or "I'm sorry this happened, but unfortunately, there is nothing I can do." With either one of these responses, which shows empathy for the customer as well as good customer service, we would have been pleased and would have proceeded with the purchase. Because of her unprofessional attitude and rude behavior toward us, we simply walked out. This has never happened to us at this location. It is a store we shop at almost weekly for the past 10 years and never have we had an interaction like this with any of their employees. To the contrary, this store has always been focused on good customer service. I hope that Home Goods is paying attention to this review, as well as the regional management for that store. We would be very disappointed if it went downhill because of poor management, which I am sure their Corporate office would not approve of. read more

1 star for the horrible manager and her costumer service skills. If you do not like your job, and don't have proper manners I suggest you don't work in retail. I wish I could remember her name, but it started with an S and it was an Asian lady. Rude, angry, treating a young cashier kid horribly. We asked for a discount on a mirror that had damage, clear visible in 4 areas, she offered us a $1 dollar discount because she claimed the mirror had just came in, worse part is she did it in an angry manner, as if we where trying to low ball her for her own personal belongings. Not only that, but there was a young male employee that was asking her questions behind the counter, she was lashing back at him as well. Now for the store, it was disorganized, a lot of the merchandise had no price tags, selection wise it's not bad, just annoying having to ask for prices of items throughout the entire visit. Overall, there's a clear lack of leadership here, it's obvious that manager needs to go and work some where else, where there is no need for human interaction. read more

The Valencia HomeGoods is the BEST one I've ever been to. I'm the biggest bargain shopper and love "deals" and let me tell you ,this location has the best assortment of everything for veryyyy competitive prices! Designer bath towels, name brand kitchen accessories, and random decor, you name it... Believe it or not, they had a wall sconce that Z Gallerie currently has that I actually bought for triple the price (totally sucks for me - but good for you). And to top it all off, the store is VERY well maintained (and clean). LOVEEE this store, and so will you! read more

Baskets, all sizes and styles, kitchen equipment, and food. Heaven. The store was so packed with beautiful garden Statuary, greenery, yard furniture, service ware like trays, glasses, BBQ supplies, bedding, towels, some people were complaining about how packed the store was!! These things are do hard to find where I live in Fresno unless you want to pay a small fortune for them. I found an easel and it was the last one and not in great shape. The manager took off $10. Here's the deal: Take the "home" section of Marshal's or TJMAXX and blow it up into an entire store and you have HomeGoods. Pretty good prices, some great "white elephant gifts." My entire house is pretty much a Homegoods ad. I LOVE this place!! My one wish is that there was some way to know what they have without having to drive out. I stop in a couple times a week, and even though I go with intentions of looking for a specific item, I almost always leave with something... I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but I'm addicted to homegoods and if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right. Their prices can't be beat and the products they carry are so rare and unique! These stores are basically like walking into a Marshall's or Ross and skipping all the clothing in favor of the random home furnishings. This makes sense because it is owned by just such a store (Ross maybe?). Because of this you can find similar items but in higher quantities and more options. Need a quirky bedside table? Or maybe some 3D wall art that you didn't know you needed until now? Well, this place has it all. One word of caution, prices are tricky. Some things might be a great deal. But some things are priced in a way that seems like a good deal until you scan the barcode and realize it isn't a deal at all and sometimes is even more expensive at Home Goods. Last weekend I had my first Homegoods experience and I had to ask myself, why have I never been here before? This store is great! There are lots interesting nick-nacks that you wouldn't find at most stores. I noticed there were several healthy cooking oils and international treats. This store reminds me of a mixture of other stores like hobby lobby (without the crafts), kohls (without the clothes), a messier bed bath and beyond (less stuff), etc. I've been in this store a few thousand meds in the past looking for something for the home, and it's usually quite messy on the shelves. Today was worse than before mainly because of Christmas shopping. I was mainly looking for a picture and that section had a mish mosh of things just piled up on one another on the shelves. It looks like half of the items could be easily damaged because of the way they're just thrown on the shelves. Hardly any multiples of one picture... most were the last ones. Most of the prices seemed fair to a little high, but I didn't have anything to compare it to. So if you're looking for some home decoration and you can't find it elsewhere, this is another place to look. read more

I heard that the Home Goods in Santa Clarita has the best stuff out of most, so I make the drive there and sure enough they do but, I have one complaint... most of the woman working there are really snobby! I felt very uncomfortable. I was looking for a birthday gift for my good friend. No one asked if I needed help. The cashier didn't say hello or even say thank you after I paid! Maybe they think they are too good. I am an overweight latin woman and there they are wearing their diamond rings, looking down at me, as if to say, "What are you doing here?" I realize HomeGoods is a discount store but a lot of the stuff they have in stock is severely defective. Their clearance shelf is full of broken and dented items and the piece I purchased today (which was NOT on clearance) was in much less than beautiful condition. I bought a crystal cake display. It was The only one there. The plate inside was scratched up and there was some form of red marking on the edge of it. When I brought it to the attention of the cashier, she said she couldn't see it. I showed her again and again and she kept telling me she could not see it, that I must be mistaken and it was the lighting. I made it clear that I could clearly see it and it was in no other spot than right there. then after telling me that she could give me a 10% discount instead gave me three dollars off of a $70 piece. I truly love the variety of HomeGoods. I love their clearance sections, it's always a hit or miss to be honest. At times what's on "clearance" is only a dollar or two off, not always a steal. The store itself is a bit cramped, in case anyone was wondering, isles are close together and it's hard for two people to be in one section at the same time. Most items are pretty pricey, be prepared to hunt around for good deals. read more

WORST Customer Service ever!!! Marvin, the store manager was very rude and unprofessional, my sister and I walked in there to see what caught our interest. we saw some items we wanted to know about. So we asked, Marvin.. and he said " I'm busy".. so we found another worker to help and the. She called, Marvin over.. and he was very rude to us and cocky. We had a coupon and he said. " they don't honor coupons @ that store.. "wth?!".. so then. I've been to this store a few times each time finding something I just have to have, a couple of cute mugs, a doormat, etc. They seem to have a little bit of everything when it comes to household things, prices aren't bad either. I visited the store a few days ago and the standards had dropped to an unacceptable level! There was clearance junk piled high at the front door....not how I want to be greeted! I also noticed a new kids area that was cluttered and messy. Overall, the store standards were a disaster! If the store management has changed, the corporation may want to consider some retraining or new management. This store should be an embarrassment to the corporation! read more
