I'm a sucker for a good deal... especially when it comes to home furnishings. I mean, who needs to pay $50 for a throw pillow when you can get it for $14.99? Not me. I feel like Maria Von Trapp when I'm in this store - so elated, so happy I could twirl around and sing at the top of my lungs as an expression of my joy. Le Creuset for a fraction of the usual retail price? Absolutely. Ceramic lamps for under $30? Sure, why not? 600 thread-count designer sheets at bargain prices? Totally! Chic furniture for wicked cheap? I'm so there. So. There. I love the bath section - fluffy 100% cotton towels and lovely basket-woven bins. But I think my favorite thing of all may be the kitchen section - a sprawling array of pots, pans, tea towels, utensils, cutting boards... you name it, they have it. LOVE. My heart is palpitating at the mere thought. It's awesome. Awesome. My one thing holding me back from five stars is the sometimes limited color selection, but I can't really complain since it's a bargain retailer, and they get the surplus items. Oh, well - I'm still a fan!

I rarely shop in store these days since online ordering is so convenient, however I utilize the…read moredrive up pickup option at this Target pretty regularly for same day needs because it's super convenient. Shopping online and being able to pick up needed items within 2 hours is very convenient. If they are out of stock of your requested item, Target offers a substitution of a similar item, offers to hold the requested item at a nearby store, or offers to ship the item to you if it's available. It's your choice. They recently started a drive up return option, which I used for the first time the other day, which was awesome - no waiting in line or having to get out of your car, just start the return on the app, an employee comes out to get it from you, scans the return, sends a receipt, and sends you on your way.

Seekonk Square's unique blend of retailers includes Best Buy, Home Goods, Kohl's, T.J. Maxx, and others. There is no problem finding parking as there are plenty of spots. Usually all Target locations have a very similar setup so it's not too unfamiliar. The aisles were very organized and stocked. I always enjoy looking at the Bullseye's Playground & Dollar Spot section to find $1, $3 and $5 items which is located by the entrance. These are a great bargain. The Target App is an easy way to shop and save. If there is a specific item you are looking for, the app will tell you the exact aisle and how many are in stock. There are self-checkout stations and cashier lanes open. I went to the cashier and it was a quick process. Target has a free membership option called Target Circle that offers every member access to automatic deals applied at checkout, earn Target Circle Rewards, and save with personalized deals. I have the Target Circle Card (previously known as the Target RedCard) that will offer an extra 5% off purchases, access to no-rush returns, and free two-day shipping on Target's site. This card does not have a fee. Target Circle 360 is Target's paid membership with even more benefits. This Target also has a Starbucks Cafe.

After being a regular customer of 25 years, this store lost my business. The place tries to…read moreovercharge you. An item will say, for instance, $2.99 on the shelf sticker and will ring up for $3.49. This wasn't on one occasion or on one item, it happened to me on four visits on multiple items. I had to start taking pics of the shelf stickers with my iPhone to show the cashier's the discrepancies. When I noticed it in the beginning after looking at my receipt, they would correct it my giving me my money and and then some--Like a dollar or two for the inconvenience. But the final straw for me is they emailed a rewards coupon for $10.00 off an order. I've gotten these coupons before and used them no problem. At my final visit to the Seekonk location, saw only $4.25 was discounted instead of $10.00. So, the cashier called for assistance and I thought this woman who came up front was a manager. She looked at my coupon, looked at the receipt and said, "Well, will you look at that? Oh well, if you want the $10 discount, you need to call corporate." I was like "Call corporate? Why? For some reason it didn't take off the right amount. Can't you just give me the difference?" "Nope" she said, "We don't give you coupons here, so you need to call corporate to see if they'll give you the money." So I suggested, "Well, can't we reverse the order and re-ring it to try and see if the coupon will take the correct amount off?" She said "Nope. The coupon was already scanned and used--when it's gone IT'S GONE!" I was like "Why are you refusing to help me? You see I have a coupon for ten dollars and can see on my receipt it only took off $4.25?" She starts yelling "BECAUSE WE DON'T GIVE YOU COUPONS HERE, ITS FROM CORPORATE!" I'm like "Am I not standing here at a location of Big Lots, which is part of the corporation? An error of some sort occurred. It's not my fault" Then she starts yelling "THE CASHIER DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" I replied, "I didn't say she did. It's not her fault the coupon didn't deduct the correct amount. But this needs to be corrected HERE! It happened at this location and it should be rectified HERE!" (note: two items rang up at higher prices than listed on the shelf stickers and when ringing me out, she corrected it no problem). She said "We're not doing it". I said, because I assumed she was one "This is absolutely abysmal customer service and you have poor management skills". She said "I'm not a manager". I said "Well I can see why!" Then, at the top of the lungs, screamed GET OUT!!! Like she was Ralph on the Honeymooners. I left saying "You want me to call corporate? I will and it WON'T be just about this coupon". So, I contact corporate and guess what? The coupon they sent me was encoded incorrectly deducting only 20% off the order instead of $10. I gave them this wicked woman's name (I won't disclose it here, but she has long grey hair like Brunhilda) and told them about the wretched experience I had with this woman. All they did was give me what I was supposed to get in the first place--an email with just another $10 coupon. I got nothing more for the inconvenience or abusive treatment. I got no contact from a real manager at that store apologizing, I got no notice if the situation was addressed at the store. So, I took my coupon to the Swansea location, purchased enough up to $10, paid the remainder of 34 cents on the bill and left. I went home, threw my Big Lots card away and removed myself from their emails. Ollie's is now the store I shop for for great discounts. This Big Lots in Seekonk gets a zero stars rating from me--along with their corporate office!
