I went to HomeGoods today to buy a rolling cart. They only had one white metal card in the size that I needed. The paint was chipped off on the "feet" of the cart and came off when touching it. Flaked paint was literally on my hands when I touched the wheels. I asked the cashier if she would be able to give me a discount on the rolling cart. I really didn't want to pay the full price of $59.00 for an defective item. She looked at me and said: I will not discount the cart but you are welcome to buy yourself some paint or a white marker to repair it. Ok- so let me summarize. I am paying the full price and then go out to buy sanding paper, paint etc to make the item look like new when it was supposed to be new at purchasing? I always liked HomeGoods but this experience makes me want to go to their competitors now. It has been a long time since I have experienced such poor customer service. read more

Home Goods (much like the other brands in the TJ Maxx family of stores) is hit or miss with me. But to be fair that's expected with their always changing inventories. Anytime I move or want to redecorate my living space, Home Goods is my first stop to look for everything from new dishes to wall art to decorative pillows. This Home Goods in particular is usually pretty well stocked with quality home pieces at prices that are hard to beat. Keep in mind that they usually don't restock the same items twice, so if you see something you like you can't assume it will be there the next time you stop in. I've also run into the issue of HG only having one item in stock when I need two (i.e.: a set of matching lamps or pillows). Can't say that's their fault, just something to keep in mind. read more

Went there a couple of times because my wife wanted to go. Really don't care for the store much. Kind of cluttered and junky. Seems like they specialize in closeout merchandise from other chains. It reminds me of going to a rummage sale. I think there are better options for discount home furnishing stores. read more

HomeGoods - Discount Store Near Me - Beavercreek, Ohio

Target didn't have a big enough selection of curtains. So we came here. I was able to find things quickly due to signs and good organization. They had a decent range of colors. More importantly, they offered more than one set in most colors. Thank goodness! $40 go us two packs, each containing two panels. They provide filtered light (not blackout), perfect for our living room. On a weeknight evening right before Christmas, there was only a short line and it moved quickly. So we went to Home Goods in Beavercreek and my kid scratched himself and started bleeding. I asked one of the sales associates if they had a band aid. I followed the associate back to the stock room where I heard him ask another associate if there were any band aids because "some idiot's kid scratched himself". I asked him to repeat himself because he said it twice and I wanted to be sure. I then told him to take me to his manager where I received a half hearted apology. I admit my behavior was less than professional, and for that I am sorry, but it's not every day that you overhear an employee call a customer an idiot. Neither my family nor I will ever step foot inside this store again. One star is too good. read more

This place is great has a lot of things for home decor. I was actually there this weekend and I was able to get a $400 40 can Yeti cooler for 200 bucks you can't beat that with a stick. Love this business, me and my SO, have outfitted our home office with a lot of furniture from here let alone our home. They have a lot of great pieces for low prices and or on a discount. You can usually have a great bargain hunt in this store truthfully, but some things are not cheap. You can spend a bit of money in hear, but you really can get some great surprises. read more

I was also at the grand opening this weekend. Honestly, I have been to other Home Goods stores and I was pretty impressed. Obviously, it just opened but it was huge, well organized and stocked with a great selection. For a MASSIVE amount of people it was clean, with plenty of employees and every register was open. Even with over 25 people in line, checkout only took me about 10 minutes. I avoided the "cart drama" due to there being plenty of associates walking around willing to take your items from you and hold them @ the front for checkout. I personally really liked the selection. Everything from kitchen gadgets, outdoor planters to room size area rugs. They have a great selection of affordable prints and kid's room decor (which was what I was looking for) as well as small and large furniture. If you are looking for cute accessories for your house -- end tables, mirrors, it's all there. Some prices were far better than others but to be honest, I didn't see anything that I thought was grossly overpriced. The large furniture pieces seem to be less of a discount, but for stuff like that.... if I love it, I'm going to buy it anyway. I would recommend it..... but if you don't like crowds, give it a few weeks! read more

Second time with a very bad experience. First time the lady manager Diane, was super condescending. I went in last week and asked a question regarding a paid hold and was told after the 7 day holding period the money would be returned. My husband called today and Diane again was the manager we had to deal with. She said no one would tell me that and that you have to physically be there and that I must have misunderstood. There was nothing to misunderstand because the associate explained this process to me. She was very rude and demeaning in her tone. To the point where my husband told her that's not even the point of this. The point of it was that I was told otherwise and if that's not the process that's all he needed to hear. No say "NO one in the management team would tell her that, she didn't understand ". It's HomeGoods I don't expect amazing service, I just expect you to do your job. Not even go above and beyond. I'm over this location. We'll go to the Miamisburg location going forward. read more

This place is so crowded with items you can't even see all the items. It looked like they just threw things around! Super unorganized!

Great selection and very well organized. Employees were nowhere to be found. It was very odd. The only associate I saw was at the register the whole time and nobody else was around. I loved this Home Goods store! I've been to other stores and have found them to be disappointing. The only reason I shopped here today is the people I was with wanted to go here. I was totally impressed the moment I walked in the door. Very clean, organized and great selection. I found a great soft throw for me and my dog to share and Halloween decorations. I was quite impressed with the range of merchandise and the price points. I was a bit hungry, so bought a bag of Maria's natural stoneground tortilla chips. I opened them and tasted one as I walked to my car. It tasted like the chips had been mixed with chemicals, unlike any chip I had ever eaten before. I immediately brought them back and the sweet young man who gave me credit for them said they had had other complaints on them? I was quite shocked. There was something most definitely wrong with those chips and I was quite terrified I had ingested something toxic. Besides myself, a number of people had complained about these " all natural" chips smelling like chemicals and yet, they were still on the shelf. I don't recommend buying food products there. read more

While this store does have an okay selection and decent prices, I was disappointed in a member of the staff. I took my 4yr old son in to check for a toy which was not in stock. My son was a little frustrated so I started him out of the store. As we got close to the front door an associate of the store was coming in which of course caused the automatic door to open and my son just turned that way. The associate told us we can go out the other door as I was reaching for my son. That would have been fine except the associate felt the need to also point out that "it's the one that says Out". It appears some work on Customer Service is needed. read more

I had a very negative experience at home goods. I tried to pay with a check and the company they used called certify declined my check. I am 55 years old and prefer to use checks. I had more than enough funds to cover the check and they declined it. gave me no reason which led me to believe there was fraudulent activity on my account . it took 2 hours out of my day off to have my banker tell me there was no reason to have declined the check. not only did I have the extreme frustration of my check declining, but then was led to believe there was fraudulent activity on my account which there was not. So.....home goods, I will never shop in your store again. you have permanently lost my business. Not every one is a criminal,there are honest people out there who have to pay the price for all the negative people.certegy your business practice has caused home goods to lose my business permanently.
