Home Water Solutions is sending postcard mailers to Colorado residents in hopes of soliciting their personal information under the guise of a $50 Amazon gift card. The postcard is designed to look like it's from Amazon, and it asks survey questions related to Amazon shopping habits. When researching this company, it is clear that the gift card is never manifested and this is just a trick to give them your phone number so they can schedule a water test in your home and sell you water products. It says directly on the postcard that you are asking to be contacted by phone for a water test. This is a very sneaky, spammy tactic and I would not trust any service or product that this company offers based on this sleazy and disingenuous spam mail technique. They don't even talk about their products or services anywhere on the postcard -- it's entirely designed to just look like free Amazon money for dropping something in the mail. A lot of companies do offer incentives by mail but they usual come in much more genuine and honest formats, like a coupon for first time customers or describing why their services and products are the best. I would encourage Home Water Solutions to do the same. read more

In Oct. 2020, I had Home Water Solutions come out to service our Navien Hot Water Tankless Heater. First visit they didn't know why they were there. Zero got done. We made a new appt. They got it wrong. Finally, on Nov 6 they were there to service the Navien. Cost me almost $500 to replace valves and service the unit. On 12/31/20, hot water went ice cold. Called HWS and was told that I would have to call the company that installed the equipment and it didn't matter they had serviced the unit for the specific purpose of keeping it running. The girl on the phone claimed the service call was a "courtesy". Yeah, a $500 courtesy. Sorry the rating is this high. Deserves lower. Obviously doesn't stand behind their work. read more

Such a waste of money - they way overcharge for what they are supplying and were extremely rude when we asked questions and we got scammed into their sales tactics. DO NOT sign anything until you completely read through it. We were treated poorly. We were originally told we could not install new flooring ourselves, and that we had to have the company do it themselves. So they did it - and did it incorrectly. When we asked them about this, as well as why no drip pan was installed and why the water was still being directed into our crawlspace, we were met with condescending tones. I used it for 2 years and there is no improvement in water quality, consumption or scale build up. I was requesting a heater inspection. After a five minute inspection was told that my heater was red tagged and could be incredibly dangerous. Stated he should call XCel and have them turn off the gas to my house. He seemed genuinely concerned, which he may have been.Stated he Wasn't going to do that because I have children but the risks is carbon monoxide poisoning. He then quoted me for $29,000. For an entire new system. My air conditioning is new, my request was for a heater inspection. But he wanted to sell an entire new system. I have carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house. When I voiced my concerns he told me to crack a window. Immediately I had a second opinion and was told my heater was in working order and there were no concerns. Be careful when using them when somebody quotes you $29 for a heater inspection it's because their plan is to sell you something more, or find something wrong. Lesson learned. I was able to look at the carbon monoxide detector levels from the new HVAC company. All reading reading zero. read more

Screwed me over big time. Had an employee come give me a quote. I called to accept the quote. They told me that they have a new plumber so they have to send someone out for a new quote. I was frustrated but said OK. Two weeks later I call off work and am waiting for their tech to show up and they call me 30 mins before to cancel. The lady on the phone told me she would call me back for a reschedule date. She didn't call me back. I called her the next day and she says "Corey our new plumber doesn't think it is worth our time so good luck on your project." I've burned 1 and a half months at this point when I could have been working with a different company and our kitchen is torn up waiting for the work to be done. Completely unprofessional. Who gives a quote, then reneges on it a week later? Who then schedules a home visit and cancels last minute only to say "Nevermind we aren't interested, goodluck". We use their filter less than 2 months and we already pay for the 2nd month because they told us that the first month was free. we decided to cancel it, never did we know that they will charge us 300$ to cancel it. They never even told us this thing which is BS! Then we agree to pay for it. After they took the filter they still charge us for the another month even though they already got the filter. This company advertises by word of mouth so there was an offer in the mail to get our water tested and in exchange we would receive an Amazon gift card. They are great and my water tested alright, but I had to call a lot about the gift card. After two weeks they finally sent me half of what they said they were going to. I'd totally buy one of their products they seem to be great quality, but it definitely feels like false advertising about the gift card just so they can get in your door. read more

Glad he wore a mask but he mumbles and I have ro ask him repeatedly what he is saying. I gave him a list if questions from my husband. He answered one of the 6 questions and I showed him where the system was. He worked about an hour evidently replacing filters. Did a water test. He didn't tell me anything about the systems condition or the water test. He said the tank should take about an hour and. Half to fill. I paid him as I needed to get back to work. He acted like he didnt want to be there.... I am a groomer and need the water to do my job. I wated 3 hours and no water. Called the office and no one answered. Left message at 3:05, no call back, no water. Missed a whole days work. When my husband got off from work he figured out that the water had never been turned back on. read more

They are a huge scam!! The guy was super nice and had awesome service and talked me into it, the first half of his "speech" I thought he was from our housing. After I realized he wasn't I was iffy and should've followed my instincts. The sales person told me we were paying for filters only which we had to change every month which is why theres a monthly fee. However I haven't received a single filter after 5 months of having it, it's starting to taste wierd. This company is completely untrustworthy and the least bit transparent. I (unfortunately) fell victim to a person coming to my door representing the company and convincing me to use their home water filtration system. Problems with the company: 1. I was not told I had signed into a contract. 2. I was told that my contract could be cancelled free of charge at anytime (based on the conversation with the rep in my home). 3. They only "verbally confirm" over the phone. You will NEVER receive any other paper work or digital communication while being a customer. 4. They will charge you a HUGE fee (between $200 to $300) for cancelling. 5. They are inflexible on the dates/times the technicians come to remove the filter (i.e. only one day per week are they available in my area...which is really difficult when you have a job and it is the SAME day they can come). Annette came to my house to test my water quality, which was very interesting. She did a good job, and I AM actually interested in the product, but can't afford to purchase it yet. However, I never did get any emails from the company with the promised $20. gift card, that was the carrot so that they could get into my house to test my water quality. I was first told that the person doing the demonstration would bring it. But when Annette came, she promised I'd get an email by the end of the day today with the $20. gift card in it. Got this email asking for a review, but not the promised gift card or any email about it. If they can't follow through on this promotion promise, I am frankly concerned its a preview of what doing business with the company would be like. read more

Gary Jones was who came to our home and gave us a demonstration of the products. We should have know from the beginning he was a liar. He promised us the demonstration wouldn't take more then an hour, he was at our home for over 2. He made us promises that after we payed the initial price we would never have to pay for anything else. We told him there was a possibility of us moving soon and he told us that the company would come back uninstall everything, pack it up, store for us and then bring it to the new house when we were ready for it for no extra cost. I just had them come uninstall and I was charged $238.74. We were never told that we would be charged anything for them coming to uninstall everything. I was also told we had to move the equipment ourselves. We have not been able to get ahold of Gary Jones since he sold us the equipment even though he promised we could call him anytime and he would answer. We want our money back. Gary Jones is a liar, do not trust him if he comes to your home. He will promise you anything so he can scam you out of money. Update: They won't give us our money back. They are not upfront about anything and will tell you anything to get you to spend the money on their equipment. Stay far away, do not trust them. read more

We are a general contracting company. Our client asked us to reach out to a local company that could install a Rainsoft system her home that is undergoing a complete remodel. Our project manager reached out to Home Service Solutions and we went under contract with them to do the work we needed. The technicians were easy to work with and communicated well with us on their schedule for being on site and completing the project, However, due to a need to communicate with the management team of the company regarding some paperwork I thought we needed, I was astounded at the arrogance and rudeness of both the Controller (Alan) and the Owner (Donovan) of this company. In an effort to pay them in a timely manner I requested the paperwork the day I received their invoice. Both gentlemen not only refused to give me what I requested but I was ignored and then verbally lambasted when the Owner did return my second phone call a few days later. As it turned out, we did not need the paperwork because our client paid them directly as a homeowner. However, I found it inexcusable to have been treated so rudely with belittling and verbally insulting language. I do not know the position Paul has within the company, but "thank you, Paul". You had a level head and worked with me in a professional and courteous way to get this matter resolved. read more

The tests were interesting but we were told by the supervisor when we made the appointment that they were not selling anything; just giving free water tests if the inital sample had 2 or more issues. After almost an hour we find out there was another half hour of product and costs presentation that we declined. Some of the tests seemed a little suspect especially when we compared it to filtered zero water. read more

I am an original customer of Rainsoft, and this is the first time I have worked with Home Water Solutions. They called me in February; for a service that should have been done in February when they called, they scheduled me for March 19th, today. I called this morning to see if I could get an estimate of what time they would be here. Dilon the customer service person told me that he couldn't, and I told him that was odd because when the service personnel goes out on jobs they should have an idea of when they'll make it to the next customers house. He kept telling me no, he couldn't, they would call when they were on their way. I work from home so I needed a better estimation of when the call would come so I would get the call. I asked that he have them call my home phone not my cell, as I turn my ringer off so that there's no noise in the background. Of course they called my cell phone; said they would be here in about 55 minutes. My home office is at the front of my home; they never showed up. Called Dilon and he said they were at my house and KNOCKED 5 times, and RANG the doorbell. My doorbell doesn't work and there's a note over it, asking that guests KNOCK. I have an iron door so if you knock I'll definitely hear it. They NEVER showed and I don't care what their GPS says, they may have just sat in the vehicle. I am so angry that I have to deal with this incompetence. He won't tell me who the owner is, and made it very clear that they may not call me, as I requested. The next appointment isn't until 4/30; this is for equipment that should be serviced on a time schedule and this will be way past when it should have been completed. I can only review the water test and information provided at this time. We have not yet chosen to purchase the water conditioning system. Wylan was very nice and professional. He was able to answer all of our questions. The water test and explanation was very insightful and informative. Although we suspected that our water had a lot of minerals and chemicals in it, it was nice to see it confirmed with the data and demonstration. Actually, the water we have been drinking from the tap is disgusting and we should all be ashamed of what we have let our country become...puppets of industry! Our food and water supply chains are built around industry profits and not the health and well-being of its citizens...but I digress. Since we have gutted our taxes so much for dirty tap water, we are fortunate to have the option of buying our own private water conditioning system. I sincerely found the product offerings to be very well designed and thought out. Our biggest challenge is paying for the system...it is quite expensive. The sales pitch includes a lot of "cost-avoidance" justification (some of which is true) but, at the end of the day, it also has to be within your budgetary means. We will research competitors and will decide on what is the best overall value (not necessarily lowest price). I will update the review if we go with the Home Water solution by Rainsoft to let everyone know how it works. read more

The technician that tested the water was very thorough and informative. She was able to show very clearly the benefits of treated water and compared visibly the differences in the tap water versus the treated water. My only complaints were that I was not informed about the length of the presentation (minus the time we just talked in general about stuff) and the fact that I had to stand at the sink for such an extended time at the end of a long day already. The presentation included the usual 'scare' tactics about drinking untreated city tap water, along with some 'pointed' videos about potential cost savings over a 30 year period of home-ownership. The bottom line was well beyond what I was thinking to budget for some basic water softener issues, and I felt disappointed that this was a lot of presentation for a 'no' answer and now I just feel bad about my crappy city water. read more
