Tom came out to talk water and boy, does Tom know water! As we started to talk about the house, where our water comes from and what we were primarily interested in Tom was doing tests of our water. He was very efficient in the testing and explaining the results. Our new home in Castle Pines was built with an instant hot water unit, which was all new for us. And from some other companies we talked to at the garden and home show told us that you definitely need to put a soft water unit in for the tankless (primarily for the warranty). As it turns out, Tom gave us a measurement of 3 for hardness which is very good and he told us we do NOT need to install a soft water unit. BONUS! We also talked about other minerals and pH in our water. And it was nice to hear we have really good water here. He did leave a flyer and a quote for a RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water system if we ever decide we would like to go that route other than just getting drinking water from the refrigerator. I would highly recommend anyone who is curious about their water quality to contact them and talk through what you might need or what you want.

If you're looking for a water softening system, go with him. I like to learn and understand how all the appliances in my house work and Tom couldn't have been happier to spend the time educating me, both before we agreed to hire him and then while he was personally installing the system. We discussed our needs and family size, and it was refreshing when he recommended the lower cost solution for us instead of trying to upsell us something we didn't need. He'll be very honest about what will make you the happiest with your water. The system works great and made a noticeable difference with the hardness of our water. Tom was very efficient when installing and left no mess when he was done. He and his wife (co-owner) have also called to check in to make sure we were happy and confirm everything was working well. Don't think twice about hiring them!

He confirmed it was a fuse issue. Loved that they sent someone the next day who showed up early in the morning. He didn't have the fuse needed so he added a trip charge to go get it. If we joined the VIP plan, he took it off and 10% of the fuse replacement way over priced charge. So we joined it since it supposedly covered appliances in my home as well for $49. Turns out the person I called did not agree with what the service guy said, so I almost cancelled the VIP membership, but kept it for now. (I am still thinking about it...)

That is totally insane I really thought this was a great company but now I'm reconsidering that. In the past I was very impressed with Jim Needham now not so much and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know. This is my mother-in-law's house she's 90 years old and they were going to charge over six hundred dollars ? Shame on this company. My wife said when the the technician Doug Hammond left He sat in his truck for quite a while in the driveway, then came back and tried to charge for a service call. Think real hard before you call this company for service. Jim Needham heating plumbing and air conditioning will never get our business again.

He arrived promptly around the times I was told by text message in the morning beforehand. Hero Plumbing replaced a broken spigot and added an additional spigot to our back yard, which had none. Although I had another estimate that was slightly less, I went with Hero because they listened to my description of what I needed and came up with a workable solution for the back yard (since I only need the back spigot during summer they were able to perform a less costly installation off my existing sprinkler supply pipe rather than run a new line through the house). Michael also pointed out there were leaves in the wall near where the leaking spigot was replaced. This helped me figure out that there was a hole in the wall near the spigot, hidden behind my electrical conduit, which is what let cold air in to damage my freeze resistant spigot. The new spigot is a high quality freeze resistant style as well, but I'll get the hole filled in before cold weather comes back. I'm happy that the work done was done in a timely manner and was tested thoroughly afterward. There was a small leak due to a defective part in the added spigot, but Michael was able to get a new part quickly and rebuild the new section of piping. Now everything is working great.

Matthew A gently explained where I messed up, and where his experience makes the difference. After he was done he explained how he did the install, and I am very happy with his work. Plus he warranties his work for a year, which is nice piece of mind.
