The second day, he said the rain had prevented him from completing a job, if it was possible he could come later in the evening. The third day, which was yesterday, he called & said he'd be in route within 45 minutes to a hour....He again didn't show up. After 5 hours, he called, left a message stating he & son were in an accident. His sons new truck was totalled & they were at the hospital. He apologized for the inconvenience & asked if I could call him to confirm him doing work the next day. After listening to his voice mail & hearing his dog in the background (at the hospital, huh) I decided to investigate company. I, Thank God for allowing things to transpire the way they did. The first day was the 1st red flag but yesterday was it. Never allow a company that is not licensed/bonded/BBB do any type of work on your house. And all bad reviews.......The one man experience sounds similar to mine. I advise everyone to NOT do business with this company. I am reporting them as well... Today is Monday, around 2:00 he calls to tell me he's almost completed the work. First, why are you doing a job & no one was home to consent. Secondly, you won't get paid. I arrived home, he had replaced the flue & only needed to put cap on. I told him about being unprofessional, his fabrications & the review that seems to be the same excuses he gave me. When I told him I was expecting him to drop a camera, he says that's another 80 bucks...but he doesn't have his camera with him. The guy sounded like a shady mechanic talking to someone who didn't know cars. I got a second opinion from Art Of Stone Masonry and felt way better with the whole situation. The guy swept both chimney's for $100 each, and gave an estimate for $1200. The greatest part was The Professional Chimney guy wanted $800 per cap. Looking online the part is around 75-$200 depending on how fancy you go. The second opinion guy charged $100 per cap. When I told them how much the first guy wanted, he just started laughing.

I made an appointment with them, and they gave me a two hour arrival window. Not great, but whatever. 30 minutes after the latest they said they would be there, I had to call them myself to cancel because I had other things to do that day. I rescheduled for the same time next week on the same day, and told them they had to be here at 9 exactly, and they told me they would do so. As you could have guessed, they didn't get in touch throughout the entire 2 hour window, and called me 15 minutes after to tell me their worker was 40 minutes out. I cancelled, again having other things to do. Finally, I scheduled a last appointment for a time when I knew I would be home all day, so I could never have to think about this horrible company ever again. Same as every other time, they were extremely late with no warning or explanation. Each time they screw up an appointment, they'll give you a different berserk excuse. One time it was that their employee was hospitalized overnight and got out of the hospital at 4am that day, but was still planning on coming (???????), the next time it was their company car had broken down 5 times on the way there. If my landlord hadn't paid these people half up front, I would have cancelled service with them a month ago.
