We were with Northwest Security and Sound for home and small business for quite a few years. The technicians were always polite and friendly (shout out to technician Joel!). Other than billing error where they thought we owed on past bills until I sent proof of payment they were fine. Then a problem developed where the alarm would not set in our small space and NSS could not figure it out. The nature of our business is such that we absolutely cannot go without an alarm set but was told by Rick to just deactivate a zone (which would be great until someone breaks in through a door of that zone). Repeated trip charges for this same, seemingly basic problem prompted me to finally ask via email (can post if necessary) if there would be a charge to come yet again for the same problem and Rick freaked out and sent a certified letter saying they are dropping us? Seriously? That's how you treat a long time customer? And out of spite, I guess, he terminated service at our home as well. All for asking if there would be yet another trip charge for the same problem. Who wouldn't ask that question? They also couldn't figure out the cause of a repeated false alarm on a smoke detector and kept charging us for trip charges, alarm replacements, keypad replacement, and even a whole new panel and still couldn't get it resolved. Very disappointing to be treated this way. So far, so good with another local company.

The Jarrods were friendly, efficient and offered advice when asked. Because it was being mounted to brick and an outlet wasn't exactly close (not to mention a bulky extension cord thrown into the mix) the best I could have hoped for was for all the wires to be maybe bundled kind of neatly, but they damn near concealed them completely! (they also bundled any excess cord nicely behind the television). It was such a great, low-stress experience and I would totally hire them again! Few things to note: - Most of the communication was handled through Angi via text message. - I had my own mounts, but I think they can supply them as well. (I would double-check on this one) - The labor was charged hourly with a 2 hour minimum. - The cable covers on the wall were an extra charge. They were very professional--arrived on time for both projects, wore booties over their shoes (which I appreciated because of our crawling baby), and did not go over the time they quoted. In between projects, they also mounted a large, floor-to-ceiling mirror in our master bedroom and hid/mounted some wiring from the baby monitor in the nursery. They were extremely efficient and accommodating. They scheduled the nursery fan installation at 7:30 am instead of 8:00 to finish before the baby's 9:00 nap.
