I was told that James would be at my home between 2 and 4 PM. I immediately received a text, and I quote, "Go Green Electric, Inc. is scheduled for Thu, Aug 7 with a start-time-window between 2:00-4:00pm. After leaving MY JOB EARLY, to meet with James, of Go Green Electric, the START-TIME Employee. I phoned Anna back to CONFIRM. I was then duped with some BIZARRE story she gave me, that this was a "virtual appointment", which was NEVER spoke of, EVER. The calibration was off from the second it was installed and I ended up having to take it to a different establishment 4 weeks later...DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS JOKE OF A STORE. Carol told me that the technician would be out by 2 PM for a preliminary lookover. The electrician (David) arrived almost an hour earlier and confirmed what Dominion had told me. I'd been told by Dominion that they had seen billings on this issue anywhere from $250-$500+. A. C. came in at $297 so, seemed reasonable. They agreed to come out Monday at 8 AM to replace meter base and other wiring to get us up to code. The tech was early, arranged for the power company to cut the power, installed base and wiring, called the county inspector to sign off on job, waited for inspector to arrive in case there were any questions or problems and contacted Dominion to resume power after all was completed. While he was waiting he even assisted me in moving a 210 lb trolley rail from the back of my lot to the front curb. He also answered all my questions and I was impressed with the attention to detail. Apparently, the corrosion that contributed to the problem was because of water leakage. Both the old meter base and the new have a rubber seal at the top. Since we had one fail and cause this problem, after installation he also used a rubber-based sealant around the wiring entry point to ensure that this type of failure would not occur again. Experience was good, they met or exceeded all my expectations and the cost came in on the low side of what I was expecting to pay. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
