I ordered from Homestyle Caterers for my son's birthday party this weekend, and it was a big mistake. I ordered (3) pizzas, a large veggie platter and a large fruit platter, a few days in advance. When I asked for a total for the order I was told to check their website. I was busy setting up on the day of the party, so I sent my husband to pick up the food. He came back with (2) pizzas, a small veggie platter and a small fruit platter (he was charged for two large platters). The platters were $40 each which is insane because you can tell they just opened up some bags of veggies and dumped them on a platter. No nice presentation, no hand-cut veggies. When my husband called them back to say we didn't get all the pizzas we ordered, he was told that we did not order 3 pizzas. It's simply not true and it's so disappointing that they didn't apologize for the mix-up or anything. They were unapologetic and I can safely say I will not be going back to Homestyle for catering or for regular pizza orders ever again.

I like this place! I've been here for takeout and have had dinner in the full service dining room to the left. The takeout area has a steam table (ready to go hot foods), pizza by the slice, cold salads, and a nice selection of baked goods and desserts. The dining room has high back booth seating and a full cocktail bar offering draft beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu selection is pretty extensive. The NY style pizza is decent and they offer 2 slices of cheese pizza & a drink for $4.49 (toppings additional). I love Pasta Night which is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays (4PM-8PM) for $6.99. You get a choice of spaghetti or ziti; marinara sauce, meat sauce, or Alfredo sauce; garden salad and hot rolls. On my last visit, I tried the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce which were the thick noodles, almost like linguine in a homemade tomatoey chunky meat sauce, MMMM good!!! The service was decent, but a bit delayed because my server had to go back and forth between the dining room and takeout counter area. Don't forget dessert and be sure try to the cannolis and carrot cake!

Okay fellow Italian lovers (I'm talking about the food ok?!) here is the scoop... I love me some Italian. It's in the blood. So finding a nice mom and pop Italian restaurant is always on the radar. For the past couple of years my wife and I have only been purchasing their pizza dough. They make great pizza dough and it sure does beat what you get at the super market. We make these awesome BBQ pizza's on the grill (I'll have to share the recipe some time- it truly is divine!) But up until recently all were were spending our dough on was the dough. (See what I did there?) This past year we decided to venture out and try their other menu items. For no apparent reason did we neglect purchasing anything other than pizza dough in the past- it just happened to work out that way. 2011 was the year of the BBQ Grilled Pizza. Anyway, one night my wife was there getting dough and she noticed a featured article in the local newspaper resting right on the counter where she was checking out. The author mentioned a great deal where you got a certain style pizza and a salad for about $10. My wife made a mental note of that and the very next night she wanted to try what she had read about. So she called and placed her order. Now the person taking her order said, "Oh we don't offer that deal and style pizza anymore." My wife explained that she had just read the article on their counter the day before. The staff member replied, "Sorry ma'am I don't know what you are talking about." Long story short, my wife ended up ordering spaghetti and meat balls. That was the initial taste of our future experiences ordering meals at Home Style. This wasn't the only time this sort of thing happened. We had several coupons for their special deals and each time we went to redeem them they said they couldn't accept it. Dealing with the staff there is like going to get a root canal. At least with a root canal you know the pain will eventually end. We have ordered several different entrees there and they aren't anything to write home about -especially for the price. Home Style is definitely on the higher end of the cost spectrum compared with other local Italian restaurants. If you are looking for a great Italian meal locally, go elsewhere. There are plenty of them nearby with bigger portions, better ingredients, same or lower price, and friendly staff. What keeps us going back for more do you ask? Their dough. They have fantastic dough, their pizza is really good (a little high priced but still good) and they have fantastic wings...I'm talking Gigantic WINGS. Bottom line- If you don't mind being treated like Jody Foster was by "Buffalo Bill" in Silence of the Lambs (It puts the lotion on its skin...AKA...it puts the money on the counter) -by all means go there and get their great pizza and ass kicking GIANT buffalo wings. Just leave behind their mediocre entrees, terrible subs, and rude staff. (side note- I was trying to decide between 2 and 3 stars but in the end I had to give them 2 stars on account of the way they treat their customers. I'm not the only one that has experienced this either.) (side side note- Somehow I'm the Duke with a scathing review...But did I mention how awesome their dough, pizza and wings are?!)

From the get-go they were extremely helpful and most importantly patient. They welcomed us to their home for the tasting and meet & greet. Once we decided what we wanted to include on our menu(s), they assisted us with budgeting and logistics and even coordinated with the other vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The wedding was executed perfectly. Everything was prepared behind the scenes, so well that I barely noticed their presence. The food was delicious and our menu was diverse, something for everyone. After everything was said and done, we received a custom 'welcome to the family' cutting board from Andrew and Brandon as a thank you gift. Our experience working together was as positive as it gets. I would certainly recommend their services to friends and loved ones. Thank you Wandering Dago!

During the wait, I saw multiple other people check on their orders and that's when the staff realized they lost order tickets. My friend had ordered the rogue (braised short rib sandwich) and did not enjoy it at all, stating there was no flavor to the meat. Do not bother trying Wandering Dago. They are unorganized and even though they make it seem like a gourmet menu, the food is not good. Stay away and try any of the other good options around

R Gershon's Deli (Facebook) Dear Friends of Gershon's, It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with our loyal customers, friends, staff, and extended family. I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Geshon's Deli & Caterers. Friday, January 30th, 2026, was our final day. This decision was not made lightly as Gershon's has been an integral part of my life since I was a little girl. After my father's untimely passing, I took over with one clear mission, to honor his legacy, keep his dream alive, and continue providing quality service and "good food for good people." For more than 60 years, Gershon's has been shaped by the people who walked through our doors. Every employee, customer, client, and friend has played a role in our story and our success. Unfortunately, rising food costs, ongoing economic challenges, the lasting effects of COVID, and the loss of my final opportunity this week have left me with no other choice. To everyone who has supported me over the past nine years, thank you. Thank you for the memories, for trusting us with your celebrations, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives, in both the joyful times and the hard ones. I will miss seeing you all more than I can put into words. I am deeply grateful for the love and support you've shown me and my family over the years. I wish vou all nothina but the best. Please take care

On good days, they can serve one of the best sandwiches. Otherwise, I've had several occasions where I was left wondering why my pastrami sandwich was literally two pieces of bread with a small bit of pastrami - no dressing or anything else, and no questions asked. I like the attentiveness of the staff whenever we come here in person whether for diner in or takeaway, and their fresh pickles are wonderfully crunchy and worth looking forward to. They have some delicious pies, too, and the chocolate cream pie is our fave. I would go back, but the inconsistency over time certainly has dampened my enthusiasm that I may have once had.

Nicole's Special Events character, style, food and overall atmosphere they create is nothing but perfection and the best I have ever seen. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better team. They made our day go smooth and fabulous through the entire process. They are the reason our wedding was perfect! I stayed calm and enjoyed every second of the day and I know it was because I knew they had my back and was making it happen. I knew how great they were as the entire engagement process with them was wonderful and it put me at ease and fully trusted there team. The food was delicious from every element. Sarah is the master at setting cocktail hour displays that she is so excited to create. I know they say as a bride you never eat the entree, I ate the entire thing, it was so delicious, hot and flavorful. Highly recommend the NY Strip with Gorgonzola crust. Tina was great at catering to our needs and getting us our specialty cocktails throughout the party. She even brought out appetizers to us while we were taking photos after the ceremony. It's all in the small details. Kate cleaned the bottom of my dress twice so I could get amazing photos outside, while it Drizzled. She also had great decor ideas and met with us a few days before the event to go over all details. Sarah: Where can I begin about how amazing she was. She has been there through it all and comforted me and got me cucumber water even with a straw before the ceremony. She also held my dress down the stairs for me and literally took care of every element through our day! Margaret was a pure joy to work with and we really appreciate her catering to our parents throughout the evening. We can't say enough on how well she runs her business. They all had ear mics to talk to each other, very professional and technology advanced for a better evening. We can't say enough besides how perfect they ran the entire process the past 18 months of our engagement to every little decor detail, food, cocktails and event coordinating the day of. They also worked with us on cost and tried to help us where they could since we were paying for everything ourselves. We hope to work with them in the future even if it's at our home in Westchester, (2 hours away) as we Only want the best of the best which is Nicole's Special Events and Catering. Cheers to all of you!

Absolutely insane amounts of care and effort. I am DREAMING of having her home-made gnocchi and the filet mignon. My husband is obsessed with the blueberry chicken! She was game. She was more than game. She came ready to rumble and was cooking on the fire pit from morning until late night. Deanna is warm, talented, energetic, charming, and generous. She made amazing, locally sourced, fresh food our guests are still raving about. She has real relationships with farmers and producers in the area - her local connections are priceless. Her whole team never broke their professionalism and wowed us with their service and hospitality. She helped our moms serve apple pies instead of wedding cake. She sprinkled flowers all over the buffet tables. She shared with us all her beautiful old plates. She surprised us with a late night round of sloppy joes. She let us borrow all the props and baskets and water jugs for our whole wedding weekend, even for events that she wasn't specifically there for. I could go on and on. Book with Deanna, she is a true unicorn of the catering world.
