I put my review on Yelp for Top One Roofing and another person who lives in the area put another Five Star Review on this business. The Yelp site states that these Five Star Reviews are Not Recommended and that these two Five Star reviews are not factored into the overall star rating, Why Not, to make sure that this company has a ridiculous disgruntled One Star rating? Top One Roofing is one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with. I do not know the owner personally and the work that he did was excellent. So someone else from another state puts a terrible review out because they couldn't get a date scheduled during all of the restrictions over the past year where business owners' schedules are backed up because of the supply chain issues, etc., and because the one star review is from San Francisco and Arizona it seems the two local reviews are ignored and this business that has operated for thirty years loses business from one out of state review that by the way is the only review now showing on Yelp. Maybe Yelp should think about allowing all reviews and not just the one negative review from an out of state person who happens to live in San Francisco (do they work for Yelp?), maybe Yelp's process of only allowing negative reviews to show on its site is a reason for some companies to go out of business. Yelp doesn't seem to have a very objective review algorithm process or is it that only people who leave reviews from San Francisco get their reviews posted and the rest are moderated out to allow the lowest rating to show as the only review on Yelp. Looks like this one extremely negative review could possibly have ties to Home Advisor. In my opinion, I have never had a good experience with Home Advisor, in fact the one experience that I had was not so good to put it mildly. However, I don't trash their business and have it be the only review out there on Yelp. I also don't post many reviews because I am disabled and it takes a great deal of effort for me to post a review. So please put my review and the other Five Star review back up so that other potential customers can know the truth about this business. I guess going forward I can expect any review that I post in the future on Yelp will be disregarded which defeats posting a review in the first place, is very unprofessional, and very difficult on those of us who are disabled. I called and Joseph Denesovics, the owner, said he would come by. He went up on the roof, looked around and told me where the leak was probably coming from and how much it would cost to fix. He gave me a reasonable price and we shook hands on it. He and his crew, Eric and Ramon, showed up and did the job. No more leaks. Then we had another leak after the last hail storm. Called Joe and he came out, told me where the leak originated, what they had to do etc. Again a reasonable price and they fixed the leak. He also showed me that the roof underlayment was asphalt roofing and it was deteriorating. So...we bit the bullet and asked for an estimate to do the whole roof. After two weeks they started. Eric and Ramon did it every day in 100 degree heat on the roof. They were cheerful and very hard workers. Three weeks later they were done. We have a big roof. In addition to the new roof I have a gutter company installing new gutters and they broke 12 tiles on the roof and tore down some flashing. Joe said when every thing was done they would come and fix all the broken tiles and redo the flashing. No extra charge. I really can't say enough good things about Joe and his crew and I recommend them as good hardworking honest tradesmen. Great Guys.
