I thought the rules included that they MUST have a WORKING score board and an announcement system. This park has neither. So no one really knows what the score is, etc., unless you have the app to check. They have also played at Crossroads Park off of Knox and Greenfield in Gilbert which is a beautiful facility. I also feel horrible for these 14 and 15 year old boys playing in the heat. Sure with the Diamondbacks could do something to make things better. Their next game is this Wednesday. The bathroom is also so dirty with spiders all over the place! The Dbacks built a beautiful field in Show Low. Wish they could upgrade some of the fields here especially when the city is hosting tournaments! SMH - so sad.

Chase Field was the first stadium built in the United States with a retractable roof over a natural grass playing surface, although it has used artificial turf since 2019. This stadium and comfortably seat 43,300 fans. That's a lot of beer, peanuts, and hot dogs! Did you know Chase Field has a swimming pool located in right-center field, which is rented to patrons as a suite holding 35 guests for $3,500 per game during the 2011 season? Mark Grace was the first player to hit a home run into the pool. Most recently came to Chase Field's official and did the all-you-can-eat tickets located in the Bar-S All-You-Can-Eat Seats (Sections 221-223) on the Diamond Level in the left-field corner. What is included: Unlimited hot dogs, chips, popcorn, peanuts, Pepsi products, and Aquafina. Service begins when the stadium gates open and runs through the end of the 7th inning. Alcoholic beverages and additional premium food items are available for purchase at the concourse All in all, I like Chase Field. To make the experience perfect required a visit to the bratwurst grill the "Hungry Hill sandwich" which is located in "section 112" (Also at 134 & 315) and desert at Coldstone Ice cream! Bratwurst, a German sausage delightfully seasoned meat in a proper casing. Hungry Hill grills theirs perfectly making the casings well browned providing a nice crisp bite. The sausage used is fantastic and the topping options allow you to make it yours. I choose their "spicy" peppers and white sauerkraut, nothing else. They make them like I do on the grill, Perfekt gemacht! Coldstone Creamery, what's not to like about ice cream in the summer at the ballpark. I ordered the cup; Chocolate with chocolate chips and chocolate cookie dough and chocolate syrup. Chocolate anyone? I had fun being in the opposing team's territory and enjoyed the game banter with the Brewers fans. Game three of the Diamondbacks vs Brewers. It was a great game until it wasn't. Diamondbacks 2 Brewers 3 closes the series with Dbacks 1 Brewers 2. Diamondbacks take to the road to face the San Diego Padres and much cooler weather. It finally dawned on me... My youngest son's baseball tournaments have been scheduled at a new…read morevariety of fields and complexes all over the valley. So, just like I reviewed all the Spring Training stadiums, I've slowly been adding all the amateur fields to the Yelp! archives too. The Red Mountain Softball (and baseball too) Complex is on the other side of the world from where I live. But just like Gene Autry which is nearby, I actually enjoy making the drive to visit these fields. I don't know how old it is, but the facilities and the park are very well maintained. There are smaller softball fields and larger baseball fields (with their turf infields) so this complex has something to offer everyone. Plus it's easily accessed off the 202 Loop. Oh, and the surrounding area is pretty nice. If you're familiar with the area, you'll understand where the name "Red Mountain" comes from. There is plenty of parking which is well dispersed and there are trees. Sounds weird, but not all trees in parking lots cast shade on the parking spaces. You can find a shady spot almost anywhere in this lot. I recall visiting these fields once before, a few years back. Now my son plays on the big fields. While I can't recall using the restrooms, I know the snack bar had some decent food and it was reasonable. All in all, these fields are as nice as Pioneer in the west valley, and similar to Gene Autry, just larger. And the sunset (see photos) at the end of the weekend was gorgeous! Nicely done Mesa. In terms of sports complexes, you're two for two! Which is better than some of my son's teammates at bat. Did I mention the sunset?
