The owner was the person who came to look at the house and give me a quote. I wanted to have the trim painted right away and then have the rest of the house painted next year. He gave me a reasonable quote and some worthwhile pointers for things to have any painter check out on my house during next year's paint job. Bill tells me that all of his painters are his employees, so he's not relying on freelancers who might not meet his standards of quality. That was evident in the person who showed up on painting day. He was professional, kept the workplace clean, and was very thorough. He took the shutters down completely to paint them. The paint job looks great. I have zero complaints about the work or the company and intend to use Brush & Roll again in the spring. I don't receive anything for my reviews.

Our experience with Brush and Roll was extremely frustrating and required far more oversight than…read moreever expected. Communication was inconsistent from the beginning and we were not initially made aware that subcontractors would be performing the work. The project was delayed on the scheduled start date after we had taken time off work to be home for the crew. However, the project manager was able to stop out and do the initial walk through at the end of that day. Once work began, we immediately noticed significant issues. Day 1 we caught workers standing on our air conditioning unit. Damaged siding had been removed as stated per the contract with only 3/4th of new siding being installed on the first day; this created exposed areas despite rain being in the forecast. More concerning the siding that had been installed was installed incorrectly with the siding not splitting studs along with nails missing the studs and not properly securing to the wall. We had to call the workers back out and request them to cover the exposed areas due to the forecast of rain and request that the siding be redone the next day. We also discovered that the wrong paint had been ordered and delivered. We paid an extra $2,000 to upgrade to the prime grade paint and the basic bottom of the line paint had been delivered. If we had not caught it ourselves, the wrong product likely would have been used. The painting was initially done very poorly, with minimal scraping, no apparent sanding, and areas where old peeling paint could still be seen underneath or where freshly applied paint could simply be peeled away. The work order specifically called for preparation steps including chemical cleaning, scraping, feather sanding, and back-rolling/back-brushing, and these were not properly completed. We ultimately had to take significant time away from work to monitor the project, inspect the work, document problems, and repeatedly communicate with management about corrections. To their credit, once we thoroughly walked the project manager through the issues, he acknowledged the problems and agreed that the work was unsatisfactory. The crew then began correcting many of the issues, and they did make progress. However, for the amount we paid and the expectations set in the contract, we should not have had to supervise the project this closely or identify such basic errors ourselves. We expected a professional, properly managed painting and siding project, not one where we had to repeatedly catch mistakes and make sure contracted work was actually being completed. We do not recommend using this company for exterior house painting.

Spitting grass around like it was wet, which it was not. I was cutting at the highest setting due to our heat waves lately. The gears wouldn't disengage for the self-propel, even without using the self-propel! I called the Ariens CO several times and after getting through, they said that there's nothing they will do. I'd have to take it to an Ariens dealer/repair shop to have it serviced. Ariens is "passing the buck", on a NEW machine! So, I took it to Ty's which is 15 miles away from where I live. I initially spoke to Ryan who helped me unload the mower and I explained to him what my situation is. He listened very well and was very empathetic. I started the mower and he right away could see that it was hard to pull, and he wasn't pulling the starter rope. I engaged the wheels and they wouldn't disengage so I manually rolled it back and forth, still running, and the wheels finally disengaged. I told him between the mower and the upgraded blade kit, I was in at $600 and I am not putting anymore money into this mower, it's brand new, right out of the box! We both declared. Ryan could feel my frustration and I think he was to with the Ariens product. He checked it in with me and said that they'd be in touch. They are a busy place and very pleasant people. To my surprise in just a couple of days, Shane calls me and says what they found with the Briggs and Stratton engine. He proceeds to explain to me that they removed the valve cover to inspect the valve train- compression release is not working on the camshaft. They need to tear down the brand new engine and replace the camshaft! Invoice 301620. The parts are about 2 weeks out! Shane understood the situation and he would contact Briggs and Stratton. Briggs comes back to DECLINE the repair and DID NOT PAY Ty's for their time for the diagnosis! By now, anybody reading this review can understand how bad this is against Ariens CO and Briggs and Stratton and the message that it sends to customers ! Dyson and Eureka have been our normal go to brands but our household of 2 cats, 1 dog, 2 kids and 2 adults has out trashed vacuum after vacuum. This last model was a Eureka from Sam's Club. It was within the 1st yr warranty so I looked up the service providers on the Eureka site. That is how I found Rick. I took my model in and awaited the boom. Most say your problems are not covered by the warranty but at this point we had been with such a poor performer, that I was willing to pay for him to clean out whatever clogs had been created. He was straight to the point and told me that 9 out of 10 times it is a clog - thus not covered. He quoted me $30 for the general tune up and cleaning. I asked if it could possibly go over that - to which he reassured me no way. Needless to say - I went in today to retrieve our vacuum. Turns out that a part was broken & covered by the warranty (Whew Hoo! That has never happened for us!). I was just owing the $30. Now if that would have been the end of the story, a 4-star review he would have gotten. Instead, when my husband and children all took turns using the "new" vacuum, a pleasant odor filled the house. Rick not only cleaned out the clogs, the fiilters, etc., he also put in some air freshner to boot. Very complete service, very honest owner. He did tell me about a brand which is his favorite - a pricey investment - but I am starting my kitty to save up for that one. We will be back!!
