I recently broke my toe and was only given crutches when I left the hospital. As I've never broken…read moremy toe/foot/leg before, I didn't really know that I might need something else that would make it easier for me to get around. After spending many, many, MANY hours on the couch, I decided I needed something better. I had heard about air casts, which is like a walking brace to put over the foot without putting any weight on my toe. I called around to a few places and Healthcare & Rehab had them for significantly cheaper than the others I called. $145 for a short boot compared to $165. I went in and told the lady working that I needed an air cast. She asked my shoe size and went to the back and got the correct boot. She put it on my foot for me and explained how to pump the air into it and to deflate it at night. We made a little bit of chit chat at the counter when I was paying and she told me to get better soon, etc. I didn't look around at any of the other products, but the store was fairly big and there was lots of stuff, and it seemed neat and organized.

It is much better organized and professional-looking now, but it still has everything you could need for most common pets, at a good price. It still lacks signage and one can end up wandering around lost looking for things. Items specific to dogs, for example, are not all in one area but rather in different parts of the store according to the function of the product. The new staff are more helpful in my experience and I find the store has more staff available to deal with higher volumes of customers. I can't speak to their product expertise. They were great the one time we had to exchange something, no problem. They do need another till, the check-out queue is way too long, especially if you're carrying awkward or heavy items. It also impedes customer traffic through the store as the aisles get blocked. I'm glad to have rediscovered the old in a newer, better form, and am happy to support a local business.

Oh gosh how nice it is to set foot into a brand new Shoppers Drug Mart location! We arrived for the…read moregrand opening on December 3, 2022 to the finally opened location (in the former Sawmill restaurant location in Capilano Mall), and we weren't disappointed. Not only did their grand opening include goody bags for the first 100 customers through the doors starting at 8am when they opened (they're open from 8am-10pm daily) and they also had a lovely contest to win between 750-4500 PC Optimum points for customers between 8am-2pm on opening day. The store itself is well-lit, well-stocked, and has a beautifully laid out pharmacy location. I was quite pleased during our walk around the space. Not only did they have a great selection of everything from beauty items to Squishmallows but there's a decent selection of grocery and electronics too! My partner was really pleased to see some of the gaming systems in stock for example as I know some of them are pretty hard to find right now! We'll certainly be back.
