We would like to give a MASSIVE shout out to Ray (don't have his last name sorry) who installed a pole by our bed so hubby can help himself up after his hip replacement next month. This is definitely one place to check out if you need any assistive devices or other health related items. They have a huge assortment products such as walkers, canes, crunches, scooters, dressing supplies, beds, pillows, chairs, seat cushions, stress balls and more! My Uncle needed a wheeled walker and there was an impressive selection of models and colors to choose from. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in helping my Uncle choose the appropriate walker for his height. There are so many cool items here! For example, my mom bought a great quality handheld electric back massager. My sister bought a S.A.D. lamp (to simulate sunshine during our dreary winters). Who couldn't use a bit of artificial sunlight to brighten our mood during our long and dark winter days? I found myself walking through the aisles and getting attracted to the most random things! My thanks to Yuliet, for exceptional service and an education on proper circulation and edema prevention. I was hit by a car while out running two months ago, and the soft tissue injury in my left foot and calf were causing daily swelling and discomfort, enough that I could never be certain if I can get my shoe on or off my foot. Yuliet spent the time to ensure I fully understood the cause of the swelling, the proper prevention, and the care of these expensive socks. I'm grateful for the time she spent with me in consultation, and I feel well taken care of. I've worn the socks for three days, and the control of the swelling is AMAZING. I've not have to take Advil in days for pain. I can't say enough for the excellent service, and the product. I am a happy customer. read more

went to store with wife to buy compression stockings after a knee revision. was told by chantel that we had to come before 11:00 am so leg was not swollen. this was feb.28/24. returned mar.11/24 at 9:30 am and was directed to customer service counter showed paper to clerk, then waited 45 min for service and was again turned away as being too late, was told by chantel to come on monday as that is a very slow day. returned mar. 18/24 at 9:00 am and was again sent to customer service counter, waited in line for 50 min as only one person at counter. they seemed confused when given the paper to be measured, but paged for help but nobody came to help. finally got measured and had to pay as we were told special order, no seniors discount and about 1 week to get. called mar.26/24 and were told item back ordered as did not come with last delivery. mar.28/24 patricia called from south store and advised stocking was in, asked if at north store advised yes. went to north store nobody could find order after 45min asked if they could call patricia and check. employees did not know what to do. I then phoned south store from my vehicle in parking lot and found item was at south store in stock and order was placed on mar.26/24 not mar. 18/24 as we were lead to believe. asked to ship to north store and have them call when it is received. we have spent a lot of money at the north store and are very disappointed with the service it has got worse and excuses are not original anymore, like were short staffed, we have a new computer system, you have to go to south store. we also needed to buy a bruno stair lift and they had one on display but no one knew anything about it like pricing or installation and did not offer to do any arrangements to get information. we now have one installed as other suppliers came to home measured and provided quote. cost $5000.00. and we are still waiting for the compression socks????? they are already paid for $120.00. I don't think there is a manager at the north store because if you ask to speak to one they are on a day off or tied up. i suggest the south store may be more organized and they will ship your order to north store or if over $100.00 to your house, just food for thought. today mar.31/24 still waiting for compression socks sure hope i get a caa soon read more

I came in here with my hubby, because he plays alot of sports and he hurt is knee, and needs a knee brace (poor baby). Well the minute we walked in, he was well looked after. No need for me to babysit, I took off and looked at all the yoga gear, balls and bands, mats of all types, whatever you need its all here. I mean LOTS. The service was very good and hubby got his knee brace. They even gave him some cream for his knee, to stop the pain, and the gal even rubbed in on his knee for him, he really liked that. Service - 0/5 Return Policy - 0/5 Friendliness/Atmosphere - 0/5 These were some of the worst people I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I would never shop here again and would recommend avoiding it at all costs! I originally bought an item from the Northgate location for someone else. I was buying it for a family member who was too ill to get it themselves. The size I thought I might need was the floor model of the item but as I was unsure if it would be okay for my ailing mother, so I inquired about their return/exchange policy, which they said was 3 business days. I agreed. On the second business day, I went back to try and exchange the item. They told me it looked "used" (again, it was the *floor model*): I had literally taken it out of the bag, it didn't fit, and so I promptly returned it back to the bag, which stayed in my car until the return. They then mentioned they didn't carry any bigger sizes at their location. They then said they couldn't do a return without a manager (who wasn't there). I told them it was unlikely I could make it back in tomorrow before 5 (when their manager is usually off). I called them the next day and spoke to a woman (I got her name) who said it would be fine if I came in within 5 business days as long as the item was in the condition I purchased it in. I decided to do my return at the South location in hopes that they might have a different size for the exchange. I couldn't get any help and after standing by the customer service desk for 15 minutes, I found a sales associate who was just standing around/making busy work/not helping people (at this point, there was a lineup at the empty customer service desk...), and I described my situation to them, mentioned I just wanted an exchange for a different size, and she said she would have to call the other location. Fair enough. She called them, and I had to wait for them to call her back. When she came back to me, she said the item was past the return date. I told her who I talked to on the phone and that they said it would be fine to come in on the weekend. She said that SA was who she talked to and they said no. I told her I tried to do the return the day after I bought it and she cut me off and said "yes, they told me you used the item and it was dirty". I pointed to the item, which was definitely clean and in the condition I purchased it, and it still had all 3 tags on it, etc. Nothing was cut, broken, removed, etc. I had the receipt. At this point, she essentially called me a liar and asked if I wanted to talk to the Northgate SA myself. I said yes. She called the SA at Northgate and then *wouldn't let me talk to her* even after I asked and wanted to. She then just rudely said "she said no again", and left! I honestly think they were trying to find a schmuck to pawn off their uglier floor model on, and I guess it's easy to take advantage of people who are sick/dying. It bothered me that they wouldn't honor the exchange. I would've been fine with store credit but they were so incredibly rude. I don't know why they would lie to me in the first place: had they said it was all final sale, I would have never made the purchase, but they assured me it would be fine. They were super nice the first time I went in to buy things but then when I needed to return something, they did a total 180 into the worst monsters I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. The interesting thing is I've already spent well over $2000 there, and the item I wanted to exchange was about $70. I would recommend investing your hard-earned cash into a business that cares about their customers. Find a store that has a set policy and won't rely on a sales associate to change their mind about what that policy entails. Go to stores where you are treated like a person rather than a dollar sign, and one where the SA's won't berate you, act condescending, and lie to you all together. read more

The results you get will depend solely on who is answering the phone at that moment if you are calling in, but if you go in person? They are even more so disorganized. One person does not know what the other is doing, or has told you, nor do they leave notes on your file indicating their responses or promises to you. My mom just visited us for the first time and she had bad flight and has back problems . She needed back support to help her atleast for sometime until she gets surgery. We had heard about healthcare solutions so I visited with my mom there to check her options. Amazing store like one stop for all. Great customer service - Colette is go to person- great knowledge , very patient . My mom tried almost all back supports and Colette was very energetic and smiling all the time . I must say she is huge asset to the company because not only my mom found best back support with her help but she even gave us different options and didn't let us walk out of the door unsatisfied. June 28, 2017 - researched wheelchairs online including this store's website. June 29, 2017 - went into the store and looked at chairs with assistance from associate. I showed another associate the 3 chairs I had looked at on their website. She looked up the one I preferred and said it was not in stock but she would order it in. Went home and she called to tell me if they ordered it in, the online price would not be honoured, instead it would be almost triple. I decided to order it online myself with home delivery. June 30, 2017 - received an email confirming the order, status as awaiting fulfillment and providing a link to view the status of the order which showed delivery in 10-14 days. July 20, 2017 - I sent an email asking for an update. July 24, 2017 - received an email that it would be shipped this week. July 26, 2017 - received an email showing status of awaiting shipment. July 27, 2017 - received a phone call from the delivery driver that he would be there in 15 minutes. He arrived, opened the box and pulled out a wheelchair which was not the colour I had ordered. He asked me to keep it until the next day because he needed the space in his truck. I agreed. When I took a closer look, I thought it looked a little small, Got a tape measure and it was also the wrong size (16.5" (17") vice 19"). I let him know and he said he would let the warehouse know to replace it tomorrow. July 28, 2017 - received a phone call from a Healthcare Solutions rep who told me the wheelchair I ordered was no longer available from the supplier in that colour or size and that the website had been updated to reflect that fact. I then cancelled the order completely. July 31, 2017 - the same delivery driver arrived to pick up the incorrect chair. Friendly until he asked if I had been told what happened and I replied that it doesn't matter as I had already ordered another one from another company. He grabbed the chair and left without another word. Received an email that my credit card would be credited with the price of the chair. I called the same rep who was not aware that the carry pouch was returned also. She said the driver did not mention that it was included in the return but she would process the credit right away. Received an email that afternoon that it was done. August 1, 2017 - both items appeared on my credit card statement. August 6, 2017 - I just checked the website - both the size and colour of that chair are still offered. Overall - highly unsatisfactory service. No-one called or emailed to tell me that I would receive something completely different from what I ordered. I had no choice but to use the now beat-up transport chair (which I purchased from the store several years ago) to move my disabled wife to and from medical appointments. This chair has 4 small wheels which jam on any crack or bump in the surface of the road or sidewalk and will dump her forward if I'm not very careful. The only positive was the rep crediting my card very quickly so I could pay for another chair. Recommendation - don't get your hopes up of receiving your product on time or it even being the product you ordered. Conclusion - I will not deal with this store or website again. read more
