I always heard "go to Home Goods for your house decor" from my niece. But never knew there's one in Sugarland. I was stumbling around Highway 6 strip malls doing errands and found this store few weeks ago. I saw a bamboo shoe rack that was perfect for my closet. But I wasn't sure of the price and size. Yesterday, I decided to go get it. Unfortunately, everything on display is changed in the middle of the aisles. I looked aisle by aisle, couldn't find the ready-made shoe rack. I finally asked an employee, she pointed me to the folding shoe racks in storage section. The quality was not the same. I bought it and found the size mismatched. I have to return it. Such a bummer. Shopping here is like going to a flea market. It's really a hit and miss. That's why I bought an indoor/outdoor thermometer. I know it won't be there if I decide to buy it later. read more

Not as bad as Homebads, and not as distant as Awaygoods. Popular and busy store down in Sugarland featuring all kinds of great home-based purchases. You can find a little bit of everything in here and it's massive, but a lot of it seems like a waste of money, as in stuff for your home decor "needs" that you didn't know you "needed" until you saw it... So you might end up spending a lot of money in here if you like buying things for the house, but you won't really be buying things that you need - just things that you like the look of. This is based off employees and inventory. Every time I visit with my wife it's as if they don't revamp their inventory. The same old stuff is always there. Then the few things you do find someone has already cracked it open and left it thrown around. I know the hunt for deals and special trinkets are part of the game but there is a difference when the merchandise are damaged and either the employees see it and don't stop it or find it and just leave it for us to deal with it. It's not a good experience. Other than that when you do find yourself ready to cash out you always have to wait 15-30 min for no reason. It's not because they are understaffed because there are a lot of employees. Last time I went there was a line with at least 15 people and three cashiers online while one spent the majority talking to her friend the other two had to do it alone and even at that point they called for back up and the rest of the employees didn't move a muscle. Just not a good vibe. read more

There were two gentlemen and two ladies helping to check out customers and all went very quickly. It is a very large Home Goods, much larger than the one in my small town and I was nervous after reading the customer service reviews, but they must have read them too and fixed the issue. It's still a bit disorganized, but not overwhelming and I found some good deals today. read more

I had no clue what Home Goods was before my wife took me into one. It's apparently a division of the same group that owns Marshall's and TJ Maxx, so you get an expanded selection of the furnishings that those stores offer at comparable prices. Most of their designs have a more traditional, almost rustic look to them, in light colors that didn't really appeal to me. I can see why the store was packed to the hilt with women. This store fits their needs perfectly. For someone like me who prefers darker shades and more modern style, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. That said, I was still able to find some items that I could put to use around the house, particularly with bathroom furnishings and a few desktop items. I even got a massive, very sturdy cat tree for about half the price it would cost at a Petsmart or Petco. read more

This is one of the most organized home goods I've ever been in, everything was organized by color and very neat. The problem is only 2 cashiers working on a Saturday and one was training. The one older Asian lady just couldn't verbally advise the girl on how to do something, she constantly wanted to do it herself. This held up the line several times. Good training and verbal communication means you don't have to do it yourself, let your trainee learn how to do it themselves. I hadn't thought much of this place because I had no idea that it was affiliated with Marshalls and T.J. Maxx. Yes, I happen to love Marshalls and T.J. Maxx and I am not ashamed, wanna fight about it? Anyway as the name indicates, this place offers all kinds of "home goods." Think the house and kitchenware area of Marshalls and T.J. Maxx into its own expanded little store - voila! Lots and lots of decor items - some frighteningly tacky and garish, but I guess everyone has their tastes. As far as I can tell, everything is priced similarly to its sister stores. There just happens to be a vaster selection and amount of products. The store is orderly and I navigated it with ease. I would give this place four stars, but I somehow just ~feel~ Tuesday Morning is more my kind of place? I can't quite explain it. Maybe Home Goods just has to grow on me? read more

This isn't just a store for cute interior pieces, there are also some other hidden treasures! I've managed to find discounted toddler toys (Melissa & Doug brand!), which was a huge surprise. They also have a nice selection of unique snacks, spices, and oils. Be careful, though. I found an anthropologie mat that was marked at $2.99 and I thought it was too good to be true, so I took it to the check out, and it was indeed an error. Still, some really great pieces for a fraction of the cost you'd find elsewhere. The lines are quite long and despite having a long row of registers, it seems like they only have one person on the register. read more

The Home Goods in Sugarland Town Center is where I go to shop. It's a nice store with good buys. What ruins it and keep me from going in more often is the rudeness of some of the people that work there. There's a African American man in particular that are rude and condescending in the way he spoke to me like he has the right to talk to a person that way because you shop at a discounted store. It didn't happen once but each time I go there and he happens to be there that day working. He seemed to be some kind of manager. People like that should not work in any kind of service industry. Very sad that you give someone a little title at these store and it goes to their head. read more

We visited this location looking for a good deal on full bed sheets. While we were unable to find any bed sheets (mostly king and queen sets), we kept getting sidetracked by their well-stocked merchandise. They had a great selection of bathroom decor, accents, and furniture. If you are looking for a laundry hamper, look no further. They have all different sizes - long straps/no staps, sturdy construction vs. laundry bags, french themes and children's themes. They also have a wide and diverse toy selection. We saw Bruder construction vehicles like the crane or cement mixer for only $45 (regular price above $50-60). They also had those beautiful wooden blocks sets from Poland - only $22 (regular price $60+). We got one of those "world" puzzles for only $5 (regularly $10-12) - the only problem was that the box was slightly crinkled. This is the place to go for stocking stuffers or big toy gifts alike. Home Goods also has some great buys regarding furniture- if you are looking for the mid-century type of look. However, some of them are hit and miss (large chipped corners of desks or dressers; stains on some of the chairs). You might just check out some of their lamps, end tables, sitting chairs, or benches. read more

Poor hygiene. Home good stores are great in general, but this location seems to not care about hygiene. I couldn't bring my 5yo to use their bathroom because of nasty seats. Seats were filthy. Urine and all, toilet paper all over the floor, trash can was so full to where dirty paper towels were falling out of it. All around the store, there was trash. Around furniture, in the middle of the isles and honestly everywhere around the entire store. I never write bad reviews, but this one deserves it. Sorry. read more

I stopped in this store out of curiosity and because I wanted some new sheets for the bed. I was excited to find high thread count cotton sheets. High thread count Egyptian cotton, too! I'm ADAMANT that any sheets I buy or use be 100% cotton (cotton flannel for winter). The prices are great for the quality. The sheets I've purchased have stayed true to size with NO shrinking in the wash. They also get softer with each wash and that works for me. Bathroom products seem to be limited and are not sold in complete sets. The towel selection, while also not big on variety, are quality enough for stocking a guest bathroom or even your own use. This store has some cool kitchen gadgets and is worth giving a browse. Also, give a look into the room decor area. You can probably find some neat gift ideas for college kids, friends or even you. The only minus is the aisles can be a bit cramped with all the little displays and arrangement of shelves but that's very minor. All in all this is a cool little home store. read more

So if you are looking to replace those tattered towels, that dingy bathroom rug or that 70's comforter your mom gave you during college, then come here. This place is huge. They carry everything from pots, pans, towels, comforters, furniture, shower curtains, and seasonal decorations. They definitely carry quality products at discounts of about 20-60 percent department stores. You will save a lot of moo-la and probably will leave with a trunkful of goodies. read more

Great products, but they MUST do something about the consistently long line at the Sugar Land location! How is it okay to have people lined up beyond the very long designated area and out into the store?
