    False Advertisement By Lowes

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - i recently ordered 6 miracle glow bags since in their advertisment CLEARLY says BUY 3 GET 3 FREE (read the advertisement) when i got there i only receive 6 bags instead of what im expecting 12 bags. Spoke to a manager and she was trying to explain that since the price is 50% off it feels like your buying 6 bags do the math she said. So i showed her the advertisemtn again and tell her that it does not say that or written in this advertisement. The details only says expired 4/16, See photo attached and what do you think? i ended up cancelling my order for this LOWES FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Came to Lowe's looking to pick up some items for a renovation when met with unfriendly staff. I was looking all over to find someone that could help me with the restroom vanities. When I asked for help the person assigned to that section did not come. I was also looking to purchase paint and it took about 10 minutes for me to find someone to help me even after pushing the help call button and alarming the whole entire store. Once someone came to help they were not very friendly. I tried to ask questions and she was not amused. Overall, this was not a great experience hopefully it will be better for other people.

There have been highs when it comes to improving our home, but this is one of the Lowe's. I'm not a fan of Lowe's and I think that Home Depot is generally better, but both of them have a lot of issues especially recently, and not being what they used to be, or as good as they should be. Prices are higher I guess unless you have the military discount, but they do a pretty good job with returns and whatnot which is nice.

Joe - "No Soup For YOU!"

God awful appliance sales rep (Joe). The rep was terse and not helpful. Imagine the "Soup Kitchen" guy in Seinfeld, and you'll get the idea. "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" I wanted to buy an oven/microwave; Lowe's already came and measured. So I asked the "Appliance Specialist" (Joe) to help me find one that fits. He said, "...over there." But which one fits, I ask? Can I have the measurements? He said, "No, can't give that to you." What? I already paid. "The measurement is wrong." What? You guys took the measurements. "That's what it says here (PC)." This went on for another 5 mins. Finally, I gave up and went to Home Depot.

    Online-price match policy

Lowe's price matches Amazon.com at their stores, but be prepared for a lot of pushback. Let's make this very clear, Lowe's brick and mortar DOES price match per their corporate site (in the link below), and also verified via a call to their corporate. Home Depot on the other hand does not price match at their brick and mortar stores, and it would be at the discretion of each store. Only homedepot.com website will price match, and this was verified with their corporate office as well. Though both warehouses do price match, the key difference between their policies is Lowe's explicitly mentions going in-store to a store associate for price matching, and Home Depot has no mentions of anything in-store or going to an associate -- a play of words (or lack thereof). To save you the headache of getting a price match in-store, here's what you'll need to highlight with them: 0. Precheck: Before we make a fool of ourselves, makes sure your item is in fact sold by Amazon.com and not by a third-party, is in stock, and model number matches exactly the one in-store. If there are shipping costs, you will need to tack that onto the Amazon price. 1. On your phone, have their price match policy pulled up ready to go - link below. 2. Go the FAQ section and scroll to the "Do you price match online-only retail competitors?" question. This part clearly states that Lowe's price matches with Amazon.com. I also highlighted this in the picture attached. This should be sufficient to warrant a price match. 3. If they argue with you on the technicalities because they sure did with me, such as that Amazon.com itself is a third-party seller or that an online competitor needs to be someone like Home Depot or the actual manufacturer itself, there needs to be some re-education on how e-commerce works and let's bring in Wikipedia for that. I shared the link below. Now let's talk about it. Between Amazon and their customers, Amazon.com is a first-party seller and customers like you and I are second-party in a business transaction. Third-parties run independently from first and second parties because they are not owned by the first party (Amazon.com) nor second parties (us) and thus no full control by either parties. If Lowe's claims Amazon.com is a third-party, then Lowe's itself would be a third-party as well, and that would just be silly talk. I don't know why customer service argued about how an online competitor needs to be someone like a direct manufacturer if not a brick and mortar, for example, if Hampton Bay sells fans on their website or Dewalt sells their power tools on their website then I price match with them? First of all, nowhere does it say on Lowe's company policy about that limitation. Second, these companies are not Lowe's competitors because they are manufacturers, not warehouse storefronts like Lowe's that sells a variety of products. Plus they can't be a competitor if Lowe's is buying their products to sell on their shelves. Third, your real online-competitors are other warehouse companies like Home Depot, and for the sake of argument, Amazon.com because share a lot of Lowe's product offerings. I hope none of you will ever have to go so far to argue on these nuances. It is clear the Lowe's associates at this location do not have the correct information, and I have my suspicions that their management requested them to give pushback because this is well-defined on the website and price match is a commonplace practice. Hopefully this review helped equip you with the information needed for a price match. 2 Stars Breakdown: - Long checkout times (due to only opening self-checkouts) and rarely a full service checkout - Price match mishap - Technology falls behind Home Depot. Example: using store credit cards require a lot of manual entry such as driver's license information as opposed to scanning the barcode on the back of your driver's license. This has delayed checkouts by a fair amount. Walking around for 30 minutes and all help is going to 1 person. I'll go to Home Depot.

I was looking for a couch and was offered a bunk bed, how ridiculous right? ! It's sad how this company that use to mean something is going down the drain. Pls thank the owners for this. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Quality and Even Worse Customer Service…read more We purchased a bed set from Ashley Home Furniture about a year ago. We specifically chose what was marketed as the highest tier of furniture quality available--the most expensive and supposedly most durable option Ashley sells. We were excited to invest in something we believed would be long-lasting and high quality. But within just 2-3 months of normal use, we noticed that the wood veneer on the bed frame had started chipping and peeling--without any damage or misuse on our part. It was immediately clear that this was a manufacturer defect. Even more shocking was discovering that what we thought would be solid wood construction was actually a very thin veneer over a lower-grade material. For the premium price point and Ashley's claims of quality, we expected much more. This only reinforced how far Ashley's product standards seem to have fallen. We reached out to Ashley's customer service team expecting them to stand behind their product. Instead, we spent nearly six months going back and forth--waiting for updates, following up repeatedly--only to finally be told that our warranty claim was denied. The reason? They said the issue had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. While we were informed of this policy for delivery-related damage, our claim was not about delivery damage--it was about a clear manufacturer defect that only became visible with time. It's disappointing that Ashley refuses to distinguish between the two or honor their product warranty in cases like this. We're incredibly disappointed--not only in the subpar quality of the furniture but in the lack of accountability and customer support from Ashley. For a company of this size to dismiss a long-time customer with a legitimate concern is truly disheartening. Bottom line: don't be misled by the price tag or the "premium" label. Our experience shows that even Ashley's top-tier furniture may be made with cheap materials--and their warranty process is designed to protect the company, not the customer. We won't be shopping here again, and we urge others to think twice before making a purchase.
