They sent Astro Appliances to fix my oven. The first visit was on Dec. 10th. There have been four visits since, four parts replaced, and my oven is still not working! Beware they will further break your appliance, leave it broken, tell you it broke because it's old, then tell you they don't have the right parts to fix it. Not recommended they were supposed to only replace an igniter for our stove because only two burners would not ignite. Well, the repair guy broke the gas lines under the lid, then tried to say the oven is old. Now the entire oven is nothing more than a place holder. So, I will be without my oven for the holidays and will not be able to cook. What makes it worse is they don't care and they are very unapologetic. I would give these people a zero if I could. This company has been out to repair my dishwasher 6 times in 3 months. They come in, take it apart, pretend to fix it and then leave saying they need to order a part. The 5th time the "repairman" left, he told us that he needed a valve but told AHS that the dishwasher was repaired which put our "normal" 2week turn around out to 4 weeks. Review of Astro Appliancerepair.com and American Home Shield. Our dishwasher started to leak October 16, 2024. It was leaking at the end of the cycle and from the back of the washer. Astro Appliance Repair, recommended by American Home Shield, sent a technician (#1), who refused to listen to us and decided that it was just a leaky door seal. October 25, he installed a new seal - needless to say, the dishwasher continued to leak. The technician came out on October 31, maybe to verify that he hadn't fixed the leak? A new technician (#2), sent out on November 5, was clueless and told us that a senior technician would have to be assigned - one that supposedly would be familiar with Thermador. The senior technician (#3) came out 18 days later, on November 23, and declared that a new pump was needed. On December 17, he replaced the pump but managed somehow to disconnect the interior light to the dishwasher. He came back on December 28 but could not fix the light. On January 28 he tried again, without any luck, and he suggested that maybe a Thermador technician would be needed in order to fix the problem. Nothing happened. The technician came back out on February 20 and now stated that a new computer board would be needed, but when he came back on March 12, he did not bring a new board but a wrong set of lights (??). March 24 a new technician (#4) installed a new board, but still no light - according to the technician something happened when he connected the new board, and he stated that the board would have to be replaced once again. Being pretty fed up, we decided six months after the problem started to bring in an authorized Thermador technician at our own expense - he took one look inside the machine and concluded that the wiring was not connected properly and that a guide had been removed - the guide ensures that the wiring is correctly connected and it also holds the wires and plugs in place. The Thermador technician refused to touch any of the wiring and the connectors. In short, we had over 15 appointments with Astro technicians over 6 months and the dishwasher still does not work. Customer Service at Astro is completely lacking - they often were rude and could never commit to any forward action. From one appointment to the next it would take 1-4 weeks - decision-making by AHS and delivery times for parts usually given as reasons. But, in addition, it appears that they purposely were dragging their feet by calling us to double-check what their technicians had already communicated. Occasionally, they would blame a mishap on the folks in inventory ordering the wrong part or providing a broken part. Regardless, Astro sent out four technicians and still could not fix the dishwasher. Rather, they created more problems, breaking the interior light and stripping screws when reattaching panels, in addition to removing an essential part for the wire harness. Early April 2025, we gave up and bought a new dishwasher. It was installed today April 16. It was expensive, but, at least, we won't have to deal with Astro again. read more

The tech came out to my house and he was taking apart my washing machine completely and then tell me that they have to get something from their shop and then don't put back my washing machine before they left my house. Then I am waiting for the tech to come back to my house for the rest of that day, But the tech never once again come to my house again. The service manager came out and reassembled my washing machine together agai9n. But the po problem was that it was not the washing machine that needed to be fixed..... it was the dryer needed for service. I wish I could rate ZERO stars! This company was assigned to us by our warranty company to fix our washer. They came out and the washer had reset itself and it seemed okay. I was told if the door lock issue happened again to video it snd call back. Of course it occurred again within a few weeks. I called, sent them a video and was told they ordered the part and would be out to fix it when the part came in. The estimated a week or two. It is now week 4. I called today only to find the order was closed and no part was ordered. If I want it fixed I need to pay the service fee again -- when I was upset and let the operator know how disappointed I was she apologized and told me I could find another company!! Saria or Cyria or whatever this disgusting woman in their office is one of the worst humans I've bet had to deal with over the phone but we will get to her in a minute. 7 days ago Astro Appliance Technician "Tim" came out and was here for about 10 minutes. Dude was super nice and realized what the issue was right away. He informed me they needed to order a part and it would take 3-5 days. That was great news to me as the fridge won't stop chirping as the motor intermittently cuts on and off (the issue). After the fifth business day I hadn't heard from Astro Appliance so I called. This was on Tuesday. The woman I spoke with said "we will be out on Thursday between eight and 12 as the part you're needing Shows it will be in (tomorrow) Wednesday"Great!!! Works for me! Today is supposed to be the day of service but instead I received a phone call from their office secretary this morning claiming that they would postpone service because I "didn't want them to come and pick up the board (part) to take back and try to repair". Extremely confused by this claim (as I haven't spoken with anyone about the work that needed to be done since the technician had been at my house last Tuesday) I explain back I never spoke those words to her or anyone for that matter...This dipshit lady goes so far as to argue with me about what I claimed I didn't say or need done only to realize after a brief hold she put me on, that her dumb ass was speaking to the wrong customer. 3 seconds later I called her "ma'am" and she became irate and adamantly claimed she wasn't "a man"...realizing now the level of IQ I'm dealing with I explained and spelled the word "ma'am" to her...Obviously after this embarrassing realization that she once again fucked up, she starts demanding I call her by her name Syria or Cyria or some weird shit like that, instead of "lady"...lmao at this point "Lady" was all Cruella was getting from me. She passed the phone over to a Manager. Thank God! Now he explains that the part I need is on back order and I have 2 options. 1. Wait for the part that is needed to come off "backorder" which could be 5 days or 3 weeks or, 2. Have them come out and take the board from my refrigerator which will shut my system down while they take it to their shop to see if they can fix it, which is also not a guarantee. Let me remind you, this is the day (today) my refrigerator was supposed to be fixed, this is the day the technician was supposed to be back with the part to fix my refrigerator...the same day that I am just finding out about it any sort of "backorder". We are 6 business days in today. So I opt to wait for the new part for the time being...about 2 hours later I receive the automated text saying they "ordered" the part...never got one of those texts last week or even earlier this week. So they just tried to order the part today. The same part they told me this morning was on back order. They can spin it how they want but all of this should have been done last week between Tuesday and Friday or sometime earlier this week. The major fuckup on this company's part though is the woman in the office. Whom is major pile of shit. I was assigned Asto through my home warranty company for a dishwasher repair. The guy they sent could not diagnose the problem and blamed everything on bad soap compartment. Ordered new part and more than a week later, they sent in a technician. He did some work and claimed that the dishwasher is working. However, it was still not working. On top of that, the Astro customer service could not provide a date as to when they will next send their technician. To me it seems like a delay tactic on Insurance and Astros end where the customer becomes frustrated with the whole experience and buy new equipment themselves. We have had Astro Appliances repair our washer before. The first time they scheduled in a timely manner and our washer was up and running within a week. This time they did a 'video' trouble shooting on December 28 and scheduled the follow up on 1/6 to work on the panel. The technician arrived and did on site trouble shooting. We are now waiting for parts again. ASTRO APPLIANCES SHOULD BE RUN OUT OF BUSINESS I called First American Home Warranty when my refrigerator stopped working. This was an emergency work order called in on Sunday because of all my food spoiling. It took Astro Appliances until Friday to finally get here. The first thing the guy did was stand with the door open as though he was searching for something to eat. I had several bags of ice inside and asked if he could please close the door if he wasnt checking the gauges. He tells me to let all the food spoil and send the bill to my insurance company! He then says it might need freon (he actually said freon as though it isn't presently banned) then he said it might be the motor or that the rubber sealant were letting air in the door. At this point he had never moved the refrigerator from the wall to check the coils or attempt to troubleshoot anything. He then said he needed an authorization to work on my fridge from his office or the insurance company. I had never heard anything so asinine in my life, so I called First American got a representative on the line to tell him to proceed to fix the fridge and the guy refused to talk to the insurance company. By this time I am fuming and First American calls the Astro office and they say I need to pay an additional $179.00 for welding fees! Welding fees??? I asked the guy did he need to do any welding on the fridge to repair it and he shrugs and says "I don't know what you're talking about". Now I'm furious because while I'm back and forth on the phone saying I'm not paying a service fee plus $179 when the workman hasn't even diagnosed the problem,-- this guy has pulled my fridge out to the middle of the kitchen floor and is shaking it back and forth. I tell the First American rep to call off the appointment and send someone else. The workman then says "Whatever" and walks out to his Corolla. He didn't even come in a company van. I would give less than zero if I could. Came out through American Home Shield (which I DO NOT RECOMMEND). Told me a refrigerator part woul be there in two to three business days. Had to call them after that. Then they said two weeks (all the while telling another story to AHS). Finally (after threatening to sue both Astro and AHS) they miraculously "found" a part. Installed and said it would cool within twelve hours. It didn't. After I had AHS call, they said it would cool in 24 hours. It didn't. Called the manager who said it would take 48 hours to cool!! One lie after another. Needless to say, they never fixed the refrigerator BUT also wouldn't authorize a replacement pursuant to the contract. Finally got removed as contractor. These people are NOT truthful, honest or capable! Their job is to make sure you do not get a replacement product. It's not just them, but American Home Shield who kept saying they could do nothing unless the contractor authorized it (see the catch 22). So when that didn't work AHS sent a new repair contractor who now says a different part is needed an will take ANOTHER two weeks. WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR SINCE APRIL 5, 2021!! The technician arrived within the window, texting and calling to let me know when he was on the way and quickly diagnosed the problem. Astro Appliances has sent the same employee, Dan, to our house multiple times to "repair" our fridge. During this last encounter all he did when he arrived was open the back panel, touch the compressor and say "ouch it's over heating". He checked the temperature in the fridge and confirmed it wasn't cooling as it should. He called his manager and confirmed that this fridge is no longer repairable and left. We even got it in writing from him that it cannot be repaired. But what actually happened is that after we signed it, without us knowing he scratched out "replace fridge" and wrote down "repair fridge". It has now been two weeks and you know what he has told our warranty service? He told them that "there is no mechanical issues with the fridge and the customer just wants a new fridge"!!!!!! The manager now even denies that he never approved for a replacement of the fridge through the warranty When I call Astro Appliances to figure out what is going on all they keep saying is call your warranty service and Sears keeps telling me to call Astro. This so called repair man also broke my stove top saying "he just needs a part" but it's been two weeks and there's no movement on their part. If you want to save yourself from months of headache trying to deal with these people then go to another business. There are many more capable businesses out there who actually know what they are doing. These people lie and cheat and to what benefit I don't understand. The entirre transaction was flawless, all the way from the first appointment, troubleshooting, parts ordering and last appointment to replace the defective cooktop control board. Do not spend your time or money with this company. My home warranty company assigned them to repair my Samsung dishwasher. It took over a week to schedule the service. After 5 minutes and not removing the dishwasher he said it was fixed. We insisted to let it run a before he left. It still gave the same error light. Then he uninstalled it found the issue, reinstalled it and it began leak out of the door and he diagnosed the problem wrong and submitted the info to the warrant company who said it was not covered. After me reading online. Watching YouTube videos and talking to Samsung, it was clear the water leaking was due to incorrect reinstallation. After countless hours and escalating my issue with the home warranty company they sent another company for a second option, who confirmed the original issue and that Astro tech had installed the dishwasher wrong. I was, honestly, very concerned about all the negative reviews & actually called AHS & shared my concerns. They assured me of their screening process, etc. & I thought "ok......", but still had my doubts. They (Oleksii was the service person) came out to repair the dryer on 10/21/2022. They did have to order a part. I though "uh oh...here we go....", however, they called back within 3 business days saying they had the part & could come install it. I always wait a little while to post reviews to make sure the repair continues to solve the problem. It's been about a month now & they dryer is working great - no complaints. After reading their reviews, I was really leery when AHS assigned Astro Appliances to repair my Whirlpool dryer. They set up a quick appointment and even called me back to give me an appointment even sooner. Dimitry came to my house, quietly worked on the dryer and took the control board with him to replace the part. That was on Friday. On Tuesday they called to let me know that he would return on Thursday to complete the repair. He texted before he came just as he had done originally, and when he arrived, he quietly worked on the dryer reinstalling the control board and the repair was complete. I was pleasantly surprised and felt that I had to leave them a a good review--most of the time people only leave reviews when they are unhappy! Thank you Astro Appliances! read more

On July 7, American Home Shields (AHS) assigned Astro Appliances to come out and repair our stove range. The technician, Pavel M. came out and after he checked it, he claimed it was working. At the time, I told him that I have been using a match to light it. Anyway, he fiddled with it and left. Two days later, I called regarding the same problem. Pavel came out again, and this time I refrained from using a match to light the stove. When he arrived, he saw for himself that it was not working. Again, he fiddled with it and claimed it was fixed. Of course, it stopped working a couple of days later. I had to contact AHS to create another work order. This time Pavel brought a senior technician with him, who swapped over the faulty panel with the one that was working, and told me that the manager will call me on Monday to check if it was working. Nobody called. The ignitor on the stove stopped working again on Monday evening, 20 July. I called them Tuesday (21 July), and found out they closed my work order and the receptionist claimed that there was nothing wrong with it. There was no reference to the fact they switched panels during that service call. I called AHS demanding to either change the provider or refund me the $100.00 deductible so as to get a qualified company to fix it. The AHS representative said they could assign it to another company but I would have had to pay an additional fee of $100.00. I also found out that the technician was filing an erroneous report, claiming that " there was no mechanical failure," and omitting that he had swapped over the panels. I was not willing to pay AHS additional money, since they failed the first time to provide a professional service. I put in another request to repair the stove. Astro never called to schedule a repair day. It wasn't until I wrote a negative review regarding AHS to Better Business Bureau and on your website, that Matessa Aschinger, a Resolution Specialist with AHS contacted me. I am still waiting for Astro to bring the part that needed replacement from the first day. It has been a month and still no resolution. For the record, Astro has been 3 times to my house without a resolution. They have falsified records to avoid buying a replacement part. I do not know the motivation but as a consumer, I have no interest in incurring a fee of a $100.00 for something that is operational. AHS has been to get a response from their own contractor as documented by an email I received from Matissa Aschinger of Astro Appliances. Anyway, Astro technician finally showed up today and brought the part, but refused to hand me the service request order to document what he did. Astro Appliance was assigned by my home warranty company and they are horrible. The technician told me he needs to order a part and would call me for an appointment once the part is in. After receiving no call for 3 weeks, I called them and was told the repair was already completed and there was no need to come back again. It is so very frustrating to deal with this company. read more

Used them through American Home shield for my washer. He said he couldn't duplicate the issue so said there was nothing to do and it would be no charge. I still got charged and my washer is still not functioning properly. American home shield and this appliance repair company are both garbage. read more
