Don't let the distance fool you - Home Expo came all the way from Santa Ana to Tujunga to fully remodel my outdated kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the result. Bright, modern, and completely transformed. I spent weeks shopping around locally, comparing quotes in nearby cities, but nothing came close to the value Home Expo offered. They handled everything from design to materials to professional remodeling and still came in under what I expected to pay. We're so satisfied, we've already planned to have them remodel our three bathrooms next!

I got the quotes from 6 different contractors, but Ken gave me the best and reasonable price. All flooring and painting for the whole house completed excellently in just 2 weeks as Ken promised. Ken and his team are so professional, they suggested me many good ideas. I was never worried about the house, just gave them the key and slept well every night. They did an amazing job in my house, it looks so beautiful.

Cabinet symmetry ended up looking nice.

After searching and getting quotes from various other businesses, Ken of Home Expo upon showing him a rough sketch and idea of what we wanted, gave us a great and much lower estimate! He then handed us over to one of his designers Kham Le. This was our first ever cabinet remodel, and I had a million questions on why? and how come? Le helped us through some obstacles to get to the best solution for our particular wishes. Thank you Ken, Le, and Installer Joe. After 26 years that ole' kitchen was tired and worn, and now is bright, more functional and modern. Hard to believe it's ours, we love our new kitchen, thank you!!! "If a kitchen, bath or hard floor remodel or just update is in your near future, be sure to check out Home Expo. They have a big showroom with much to choose from and at great prices."

Fair options and decent pricing, but be careful. They will sell you used stuff and cut corners if you don't pay attention to the materials they give you. They're related to the Home Expo off Beach and Bolsa and they can get pretty shady at times. Be quick and pay attention. Other than that, pretty fair and a decent amount of options.

Very clean and professional installation with contractors who asked questions and paid attention to details

Great selection. Great price. Great service. The team at Home Expo helped from A-Z. From layout and design of the kitchen as well as helping us with adapting some appliances to some non standard existing dimensions (house was built in 1930) so we can have a modern kitchen. The installation contractors were also clean, professional, and fast.

First and foremost, I just want to say that I normally don't write reviews but working with Randy…read moreBenton from Smardan's has convinced me otherwise. We recently bought a home and the bathrooms needed to be remodeled. We are first time homeowners and my husband put me in charge of designing the bathroom, which is a full time job all in itself. We drove from WLA to Fountain Valley early on a Saturday morning to check out their showroom. It's not big and flashy like their bigger competitors but it had the best of what each brand (Grohe, Toto, American Standard, Moen, etc.) had to offer. It was definitely enough to check out each brand's product and design to make a decision but it wasn't so much that it was overwhelming and you can't decide. We met Randy that day. We had lots of questions but had a general idea of which products we wanted in our bathrooms. He was really patient and friendly (even though he was recovering from a cold and had lost his voice) and answered every single question and gave us a quote on the items we needed. I spent another two weeks shopping around and trying to finalize the design. I did tons of research and requested prices from several companies. When it came time to buy everything, I called Randy again and he was more than happy to set me up with a few faucet and shower recommendations when I couldn't decide. I ended up placing multiple orders over the span of a week and had questions on top of questions and each moment of the way, I could count on Randy to guide me in the right direction. He's knowledgeable, friendly and overall a great person to work with. Most of the prices he quoted me were on par or came close to what I found on the Internet. And then there were other items that were priced lower than their local competitors. The advantage over ordering online is that if it's in stock within their company, they can deliver it to you next day, instead of the usual week or two when you order online. I'd rather support my local businesses than the large online retailers any day. It's worth a call to get a quote! I highly recommend Smardan's if you're renovating your bathrooms and kitchen and need fixtures and plumbing supplies. These guys are great! They're friendly, extremely knowledgeable and their prices are highly competitive. The invaluable customer service I've received from this company alone warrants a 5 star rating. Even their delivery guy was friendly and on time! Overall a great company to work with. We could not be happier.

Jacob was the only one to have put in the time to search for a suitable alternate tile, and he found one for me that was a perfect match. He was kind, patient and his extra work paid off. My review for this place is twofold…read more The showroom is beautiful, with a great selection to choose from. Our experience with Polina was excellent, she was friendly, kind, and very helpful in guiding us through our tile selection. Where things fell short was communication and delivery...especially disappointing as this was our first time shopping here. When we placed our order, we specifically asked if the product was in stock and were told that it was. After we paid and left, we received a call saying the product was actually not in stock and would take about a week. Frustrating, but what made it worse was the response we got when we followed up. We spoke with Glenn and explained that had we known, we might have gone elsewhere. His response was essentially that we were free to do so. Having worked in customer service for over 10 years, I found that surprising and disappointing...there was no effort to retain our business or make things right. We decided to continue with the order since we had already paid. Fast forward about two weeks, and we hadn't received any updates. I called to check in and was told the shipment was still in transit and might arrive by the end of the day. I asked to speak with a manager, and Glenn called me back. To his credit, he acknowledged the earlier interaction and apologized for the delay, but there was still a lack of proactive communication or effort to improve the experience...especially considering we had already, made multiple trips for payment and a partial pickup. Ironically, I received a call just before closing that the rest of the shipment had arrived and would be ready for pickup the next day...but only after I had reached out first. I would still recommend this place for the showroom, selection, and the help we received from Polina. Just be aware that the follow-through and communication may not match that initial experience.

Learn from my mistake and stay away from the Ganahl Lumber in Costa Mesa on Bristol Street. What…read moremost people don't realize is that window pricing isn't fixed. Unlike Home Depot or Lowe's, where everyone pays the posted price, here the salesperson sets your price himself -- and can quietly build an enormous commission into it. If you don't know enough to get competing quotes, you'll never know you overpaid. I found out the hard way. I spent $26,285.83 on only 10 Andersen 400 Series windows at this store (April 2026, PO #M26955, salesperson Randy B.), and the order was mishandled at nearly every step. First, pricing. Overall, I was overcharged by 30% compared to Dixie Line for the identical windows. My office window is just one example: it was $3,665.13 before tax at Ganahl (81 7/8" x 54 3/4"), while Dixie Line quoted the identical window at $2,626 -- over $1,000 more on a single unit. Second, when I sat down with Randy and gave him my measurements, he entered them incorrectly. We caught it before the order was finalized, which avoided a loss of tens of thousands of dollars -- but it never should have happened. Third, I specifically requested nail fins on all the windows. Half were delivered with nail fins and half without. Fourth, my contract explicitly lists black hardware -- and no hardware was delivered at all. I was then quoted another $197.29 for the finger pulls that should have come with the order. Only after I put everything in writing to Randy, the store manager, and corporate did Ganahl finally agree to provide the finger pulls at no additional charge. I should never have had to fight for something the contract already included, much less be put in the position of having to take them to court to enforce it. Randy apparently never bothered to open the attachment or read the contract in his own file before trying to charge me for hardware that was already part of my order. The pricing discrepancy, the nail-fin mix-up, and the measurement errors remain unaddressed, and neither the store manager nor corporate has replied. Avoid Ganahl Lumber's window sales department at all costs. Based on my experience, they will take advantage of you.
