Beautiful work initially, but unfortunately Capital Flooring did not deliver on the product or stand behind the work when problems arose. In September-October 2024, we trusted Tony, the owner of Capital Flooring, with a major renovation of our first home. Tony knew this was our family home and that we live here with our children, so we placed a great deal of trust in him and his company. Initially, we were thrilled with the results. Capital Flooring did beautiful work on our kitchen, bathroom vanities, tile floors, and vinyl flooring throughout our home. It truly felt like a dream come true. Unfortunately, just six months later, in April 2025, our vinyl flooring began shifting, lifting, and cracking. We contacted Tony immediately. He assured us that he stood behind his company and his product and that the issue would be fixed. The first repair did not take place until June 2025. During that visit, the installers attempted to address the flooring issues, but they also scratched the vinyl in other areas of our home. We reported the additional damage to Tony, and his team returned a few weeks later, toward the end of June, to address it. Unfortunately, the underlying flooring problem did not stay resolved. Several months later, the same issues began happening again. We contacted Tony and his team once more. They returned in March 2026, and Tony himself came to our home to see the problems firsthand. We appreciated him coming out personally and again believed that the issue would finally be resolved. Unfortunately, the latest repair attempt made the situation significantly worse. During that visit, the installer further damaged the flooring, broke our dishwasher, and damaged our kitchen cabinets--which were also designed and installed by Capital Flooring. We were left with additional damage to our home on top of the original flooring problem we had been trying to have corrected for nearly a year. Since that visit, we have spent months attempting to contact Tony to get these issues resolved. We have called and sent messages, but our attempts to communicate have largely gone unanswered. This is the part of our experience that is most disappointing. We did not expect perfection. We expected a company to stand behind the work and products it sold us. When the flooring began failing only six months after installation, we gave Capital Flooring the opportunity to make it right. We allowed their team to return to our home multiple times and continued trying to work with Tony rather than immediately taking our concerns public. Unfortunately, after multiple repair attempts, the original flooring problem remains unresolved, our home has sustained additional damage, and we have been unable to get a response from the owner. I am sharing our experience because prospective customers deserve to know that a beautiful renovation is only part of the equation. What matters just as much is how a company treats you when something goes wrong. We invested a significant amount of money and trust into our first home. We trusted Tony and Capital Flooring to do the job correctly and, when there was a problem, to stand behind their work. Sadly, that has not been our experience. Tony, I sincerely hope you see this review and choose to contact us. We are not looking for an argument or to damage your business. We have been trying to resolve this with you for months. We simply want the flooring issue corrected and the damage caused during the most recent repair addressed. We are still willing to resolve this directly and would gladly update this review if Capital Flooring takes responsibility and makes things right. Update as a response to the owner's message: It is an outright lie that the company thought the home would be empty and unoccupied. Tony himself came to do the walkthrough before we signed the contract. We made it very clear that we would be living in the house, and that our furniture would also be in the house. He said it was no problem. I was in my third trimester of pregnancy, and we discussed the need for me to keep away from certain products the team was using. Our contract also included a furniture moving fee. It was not just the speaker (which was not supposed to be touched, an an "electronic" per the contract); many other items were damaged, too, including chairs, couches, etc. Tony, I'm disappointed that on top of all of this, you would lie regarding part of the issue. This was discussed with you personally in detail at your shop and at our home before the project started. Regarding coming back multiple times to touch up paint, your crew destroyed our house and made some very sloppy attempts to clean up after we complained. We appreciate you, Eddie, and your dad coming to fix the damage your team created, but it was what was required due to your team's poor quality of work. read more

Before that, I went to many stores on State College Blvd, and I was guided by experts on modern materials and designs; however, Tony pointed out to me those designs are expensive but completely unsuitable for my house. Tony came to our door, and he gave me positive feedback. He saved me up to $30,000 and the house is still beautiful, luxurious and modern. From my original $70,000 estimate, after talking to Tony, I only paid $40,000. That was a huge savings on labor and material. I came across Capitol Flooring as one of my good friends had recommended them. I came in to the store looking for cabinets and countertop with zero experience on how I would remodel my kitchen. I first spoke with Tony and he had me sit down with him to go over the layout of my kitchen. I had no clue they could do designs like that as I am a novice. Tony was super helpful, patient and knowledgeable. We went over ideas on what would be ideal for the space of the house. Once I got the sketch, I was able to get a better and improved strategy for the remodel. When I came back, I then met Art. He allowed me to think outside the box of how my appliances will fit in each corners and why certain things will be a better fit for placement of cabinets to appliances.
