This is the second review I've left for One Medical, and I normally wouldn't go out of my way to do…read morethat -- but I felt the need to elaborate further because of how unpleasant and unfortunate this experience was. This was one of the most disheartening and discouraging healthcare experiences I've ever had -- and what makes it worse is that it was my first time seeking help for my mental health in over 15 years. I grew up in an environment where asking for help -- especially when it came to medication for mental health -- was seen as a weakness. So it took everything in me to finally overcome that and make an appointment. After a particularly overwhelming six months, I built up the courage to be honest about what I was struggling with and what had worked for me in the past. I wasn't demanding anything -- I was simply trying to communicate openly, hoping for a supportive and respectful conversation about my care. Instead, I was met with judgment and ultimately rejection by Harley Berning. She initially prescribed me a lower dose of the medication I mentioned -- no concerns or hesitation. But after I followed up with a message asking if this was the right plan going forward, everything changed. My prescription was suddenly revoked after it had already been sent in and paid for, and I was told she could no longer continue my care. It felt like I was being punished for being honest. I was mischaracterized, dismissed, and made to feel like I had done something wrong just for asking questions and advocating for myself. That kind of distrust -- especially when someone is finally trying to seek help after years of struggling -- is incredibly damaging. This experience didn't just shake my trust in one provider. It made me question whether I should have ever reached out in the first place. And I imagine I'm not the only one who's walked away from One Medical feeling like this. If you're someone who's anxious, vulnerable, or trying to overcome the stigma of getting mental health care -- be careful. I wanted this to be a step toward healing, and instead it left me feeling worse than when I started.

First of all I'd like to say that the Clairmont is doing a pretty good job but could do better. I…read morehave had trouble with the billing department getting back to me. There was a problem with the facility apartment insurance request. I paid and submitted the forms about a month prior to move-in and the first bill over 6 weeks later included a fee for not having insurance. I tried contacting the billing office and requested a call back to get things clarified. This did not happen and the problem was not fixed. I again went to Francine who has been my anchor at the Clairmont to get problems fixed. I finally received approval of the policy on October 17th but I had submitted the information in early August! In addition the bill itself was incorrect. The dinning room food has improved, per my father, but the utensils are still awful! I do wish your administrative staff would try using the forks at the facility and imagine that they have arthritis in their hands as these residents frequently do. My dad does better with most plastic forks than the forks supplied at the Clairmont. Please, this should be an easy upgrade. One thing we really appreciate is the ability to have a pet and to have a fenced "yard" area outside of their apartment. I think this adds a homey feel for many of the residents. Better water access would be a plus for those with outside plants. You have outside waste bins for doggy waste but no plastic bags at the one outside of the building for the last 6 weeks. Your showers do not have safety bars inside of the shower, Since most of the residents at this facility use walkers, canes or wheelchairs, why do you think it unnecessary to have a safety bar inside of the shower? This would be a considerate and wise upgrade for the apartments. Overall, we (the family) really like this facility and the people who live and work there. My Dad is still adjusting......

I was using Austin Regional…read moreClinic and waiting months for appointments, never really able to establish a relationship with a doctor, and never able to get an rx when I was sick, meaning I was also relying on UrgentCare for strep tests or a UTI. One Medical is so amazing. Yes, you pay a membership fee, but then, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A DOCTOR. Like, the day you need to. Or, you do a video chat, or send your doctor a message that they actually respond to in a timely manner. The app is also super helpful and efficienct. They have this great feature that you can get immediate help for certain things like colds, yeast infections, or ordering a lab test. You fill out the information in the app, and someone gets back to you right away, putting in the lab visit or sending the rx to your pharmacy. I really don't think I have ever had medical access that is responsive and available when I need it. Their lab is open for drop ins throughout the day, and I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. It is just really excellent service. I hope it stays this way!

We were determined to ensure that our child did not face the challenges we encountered growing up--lack of support and the absence of essential tools and skills for self-empowerment and autonomy. Before choosing OOTK, we consulted with fellow parents in the Autism community and those at our child's school. After attending OOTK's open house, the therapists and An left a lasting impression, leading us to join their waiting list, aware that it might take six months or more. Our past negative experiences with ABA facilities, overly focused on behavioral conditioning and token use, prompted us to seek better support that aligned with our child's strengths, pro-Autism advocacy (not that Autism Speaks bullshit) and employing more empathetic communication methods Ultimately, we selected OOTK because they aligned with our stance on Autism. During our child's time there, they communicated with us only when necessary, conducted regular productive check-ins, and collaborated closely with us and the school to ensure our child's success. Our goal was for our child to acquire life skills, cope with challenges, and communicate effectively, irrespective of being autistic or nonverbal. Witnessing our child evolve from a quiet presence to a sassy chatterbox speaking in full sentences amazed us. OOTK's staff consistently displayed understanding, empathy, and professionalism, contributing significantly to our child's remarkable progress. Thank you for being a transformative influence in our child's life and for the invaluable support you've provided to our family. Our child, like any other, experiences both good and challenging days. I would give zero stars if I could. My daughter attended…read morethis school from the very beginning. At first, she was making progress and I gave them a lot of credit for it. Now I wonder if some of it was just my daughter making some of the progress on her own. The owner (An) does not keep track of the kids case workers. We have talked to her about my daughters (Jenny was her case workers name) and she would say, "I don't keep track of the kids, I just leave it to the case manager" (how professional...) Jenny was absolutely terrible. She would email me always going on and on about how my daughter did this and that wrong. Even texting me inconveniently about how my daughter is fussy or constipated. I would be at work and they'd be texting me about it. I eventually had to email her telling her to stop messaging me negative statements about my daughter. Jenny decided she wanted my daughter to have ABA classes at HOME! Apparently she and other people at OOTKS had been "thinking about it for a long time", but only decided to talk to us about it when I was 4 WEEKS AWAY FROM GIVING BIRTH TO MY SON! When my mom called and confronted her about why she was kicking my kid out of the program, Jenny couldn't come up with anything but constipation issues was the reason. We told An we did not want Jenny to work with my daughter. Only a few days later we were informed JENNY WAS WORKING WITH MY DAUGHTER AFTER WE ASKED AN NOT TO AND SHE AGREED SHE WOULD NOT HAVE JENNY WORK WITH MY CHILD! We would also get multiple calls about my child having a fever & "needed to go home". When I would pick her up, let her play & take her temperature again, she was normal temperature, even playing normally. Not sure if something is wrong with their thermometers or if they just didn't want her there. We eventually left cause we felt they didn't want my daughter there and have now found a place where my daughter is thriving & enjoys. She leaves that place with a smile (unlike this place).
