I really like Dr. Crear and some of the PAs so it's a shame that the messaging service is not held to a high standard. Honestly, it's like talking to a child...but one who clearly uses AI to polish their grammar. The level of incompetence - with incorrect prescriptions called in and incorrect information relayed - is concerning. I hope they don't have these medical assistants completing tasks that require common sense, like relaying important test results. I know practices are trying to increase profits, especially those practices that are owned by private equity (which this place may be--IDK). But please consider your patients. Don't run a competent practice into the ground by having these assistants do what medical professionals should be doing. Employ some actual nurses to answer patient questions for god's sake, not just "medical assistants."

I left the facility and decided that I wouldn't be returning. This past week, I had a medical emergency. My insurance website would not load and since I previously researched this location did accept my insurance, I decided to make an appointment. I called the morning of, just to make sure that my appointment was still scheduled, and was greeted by a very sweet and helpful woman. I got to the location, was treated so pleasantly. Everyone was helpful and caring. From those at the front desk to the nursing staff, and those in the lab. But I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Steve Loeschen. He was very active in trying to figure out what happened. Although, I initially had a terrible experience. I'm so glad I gave this location a second chance. I'm unsure if the woman from my first visit was a temp or no longer working there, but the whole atmosphere was different and very pleasant.

It took them 13 business days (M-F) - otherwise known as 2.5 WEEKS to respond back to me. And I had sent TWO follow up messages after my initial message because of how long it was taking for them to respond. The portal message center says allow UP to 5 days for a response. Fine, I did! But almost 3 weeks for ONE response!?? Freaking ridiculous. The person who I've been messaging is "MA Tierra A". Awful. Slow. And selectively picks what to respond to so you have to ask again for the other answers and it takes weeks and weeks to hear back. I'm in the process of finding a new doctor. This whole situation has put a bad taste in my mouth. They were so so to start off with, but their communication is god awful and slow as all heck.

I rated his service as 'above and beyond' and would've scored him at 10. However, over the last couple of years, I've noticed a declining trend in quality of healthcare and front office professionalism; wherein, the nurse practitioner held the notion that Diabetes was curable. Since my A1C was in check, she would no longer prescribe the medication that had been keeping it in check. It was not a pleasant experience getting this escalated to Dr. John's attention. When finally that occurred, Dr. John immediately requested a refill for the prescription med, yet made no mention of the NP's error - or that she would be re-trained. Over the years, his office staff deteriorated, particularly his wife - who clearly rules the roost with autocratic rudeness. While I'm grateful for the decades of great medical care I received from Dr. John, I'm happy to see him retire - and hopefully his wife as well, such that patients can receive the awesome care once delivered by Dr. Paul John, MD.

I did some research…read moreand ultimately chose Dr Wolf because she was an internist and was on ARC's rising star list. I went to the appointment and met with her nurse. I don't remember her name, but she was super nice. I waited maybe 5 minutes in the room - overall wait time was around 15 minutes (arrival to Dr time) - and Dr Wolf was super easy to talk to. I went over my concerns and she addressed everything in a very easy to understand manner. She asked that I do some bloodwork and things, which I did the next morning. Within a few hours, her nurse had called me about an abnormal result and they walked me through that process. Definitely like Dr Wolf and have referred a few of my friends that recently moved here to her! Appointments seemed easy enough to make. I got in within a week, but I didn't have anything really going on like a cold or something. Most Dr's like that will squeeze you in if you needed to be seen quicker, but I haven't had to do that at her office yet. Anyways, I was satisfied with getting in to see her in a week for what I had going on.

This past year was a tough one medically and with losses in my family, and she and her staff have listened to me, referred me to appropriate specialists and understood my own need to advocate for my care and methods of treatments. She has been my primary care person and her staff has always treated me with respect, gotten back to me in timely ways and used caring and compassion. Now that I have seen more doctors in Austin and am aware that they all see huge numbers of patients I am more appreciative of the kindness and professionalism of Dr. Wolf and this practice. She has coordinated my care but it has always felt like a partnership through a tough year. She rocks!

(The cutoff, which they won't tell you, is 7 minutes after your scheduled appointment.) The waiting room can be a bizarre nightmare of crazy people. They run a lot of people through this clinic. With the flu going around right now, I would avoid an appointment unless you absolutely need one, and wear a mask and use hand sanitizer if you go. The medical staff is super nice. I like my PCP with some caveats. She is a nurse practitioner and is a wonderful person but...you need to be careful, my PCP gave me a prescription for some high dosage vitamins that my neurologist said could be toxic. If you have anything serious going on, the best use of this clinic is to ask for a referral to a specialist. They will actually track down a specialist that works with your insurance so you don't have to. It will take a few weeks but it is a worthwhile service and connected me with some great doctors in the Austin area.

I probably interviewed 7 different pediatric groups when I was pregnant and loved the group and doctor I chose at the time (2005). That doctor has now retired. However, Dr. Gajjar is just down the street from Austin Area OBGYN and Dr. Cowan (my OBGYN)--also much trusted. The St. Davids Womens Clinic, where my OBGYN group has deliveries is also down the street. Dr. Gajjar is thorough, compassionate, and truly cares about her patients. Having worked with pediatricians going on 17 years now and being a working mom, I recommend Dr. Gajjar without hesitation. She guided us through the pandemic, middle school sports issues and awkward puberty moments. She genuinely connected with both of my teens (3 years apart and 1 a boy and 1 a girl). I am thankful to all those who have been by our side, but would have been thrilled to work with Dr. Gajjar when my children were infants, as well as now, when they are coming into their own. Her staff is friendly, approachable, and compassionate--something I have learned is invaluable over the years. We are so thankful to have Dr. Gajjar in our lives and looking after the healthcare of our beloved children. We are native Texans and have been in Austin for over 22 years. I went to her for an annual checkup, and she noticed a small skin tag on my eyelid. I'd had it forever and just used eyeliner to hid the tiny bump. She noticed and said that it was really simple and inexpensive to remove, and she could give me a referral if I'd like it removed! It was something I wouldn't have even known to ask for, but I was so grateful she pointed it out and offered to refer me to an ophthalmologist. Sure enough, the procedure was so quick and easy, I wish I'd thought to ask about it sooner!

She has a straight-forward no BS sort of bedside manner which I really like in a doctor, but she does not come across as brusque or rude. She gave me a great referral to a surgeon when I needed a tumour removed and I've always found her willing to pause and discuss my options with me. It's immensely convenient that's she's part of the Austin Diagnostic Group because when you do need to see a specialist you can see somebody in the same group and you count as an established patient, and they have access to your info in the ADC computer system. The facility has an "easy care clinic" on the bottom floor where you can be seen without an appointment or make a same day appointment with a nurse practitioner. If you like doctors to make sympathetic tut-tut noises and do a lot of hand holding she might not be the doctor for you. If you like somebody with a no nonsense approach to medicine, Dr Eisen is your girl.
