Of couse physical is covered by insurance, but the follow up after the Physical to review bloodwork, not covered. Need to get a prescription renewed that was prescribed at physical follow up apt. Must come in and see the provider for that. Get out of here. Won't be going back to Total's Men's or any of their locations and finding a new provider. read more

Worst customer experience I've been to at any office of any kind. Had an appointment and driving in 2.5 hours away, gave the office a courtesy text saying l would be 5-10 mins late bc traffic. The office called back and said if l was not there at the exact time they were canceling my appointment bc they had to go to lunch. Went here for the rapid covid test. Super fast! As in I barely knew she was done fast! I was a little hesitant as I hate parking at the domain on this location but they have parking, you don't have to go to a garage or anything like that. It's super clean. Kinda weird going to a men's place since I'm female but this is the only place I'll go for covid tests from now on if I need another. This one is actually further from me than others but it was a far better experience than the last covid test i had so I will drive to this location if I need another one. Trey is well versed in his craft and will spend an hour discussing options. I feel like he treats ME and not just my condition. He is a good Christian man and I always enjoys chatting him up. I'd gotten the covid antibody test here twice over the summer. This place is immaculately clean. The entire process was quick both times too, friendly staff from start to finish. The first time I met with a doctor who answered all questions I had. Best part, there was a kitchen with a variety of free drinks and snacks! It's conveniently located just a short walk across the street from my apartment in the Domain, and the customer service has always been excellent. I went this week for my annual check up, and again they didn't disappoint. My appointment started on time, and Angel was friendly and efficient in starting the process. Perhaps most importantly, I didn't feel a thing when she took blood: a true professional. Thanks Angel! Trey came in for the exam, and he was laid back and knowledgeable. The staff does a great job of putting you at ease, which is a great thing for those of us who don't like going to the doctor. My entire visit was completed in under thirty minutes, and I had the results of the blood work within 48 hours. Finally, they do an excellent job of helping you schedule your visit, reminding you when it's approaching, and following up on your service. Even though they say they're open till 5, on 10.20.2023 they turned me away saying that the patient cut off was roughly 4:50. It would be nice if the actual hours reflected what was advertised so I wouldn't have to waste my time in rush hour to be turned away during operating hours. read more

2nd time coming to a Total Mens Primary care and we were in and out within 5 minutes. First time out in Belterra, but this experience was even better. Place is so clean and nice. Staff is easy to work with and very kind. They have an entire snack bar and mini fridge available in the waiting area, along with fresh coffee. Came here for a COVID test per one of my colleague's recommendation. The initial patient fee is $20 but after that all tests are free if you have insurance. I really loved this place because I was able to prebook an apt and also did not have to wait for my results. I was able to leave and they texted it to me within 30 minute with the results!! I'm leaving a 2 star due to the office not answering the phone. The doctor ordered me to do X-Rays and I've been trying to contact them for 2 days to see if I'm all clear. Really disappointed in the follow up of the team. However, the initial service was great and it's never a wait at any of the offices. I made an appointment for 12:40 and was running roughly 10 minutes late due to traffic on mopac. I called ahead and made the front office aware I was going to be running a few minutes late you know common courtesy. Idk who the old hag I was talking too on the phone was but she was giving so much attitude for no damn reason, she was beating around the bush but basically ended and said well as long as your here by 12:50 you should be ok. So. I get there at 12:48 so only being 8 minutes late another woman greets me and I explain I have an appointment for 12:40. She gives a look and says let me check to see if theirs a chance we can still see you because we go to lunch at 1... I'm sorry by why TF still allow people to make appointments and then rush them and have no understanding for crappy austin traffic if y'all take lunch at 1 it's stupid. Then she has the audacity to say ok well we can only see you if you've filled out the pre check in.... That's on me I didn't answer the 10 quick questions befor my appointment and lord knows they weren't giving me time to fill it out. And she then goes well we can reschedule due to this and I'm like ok cool not like I took off of work for this, she then goes ok we don't have anything until next Friday.... What type of bull is this place just a bunch of money hungry freaks who could care less about your life and things out of your control.... I am a pt at the tech ridge location in north Austin. Tech ridge is where my primary care providers have been at since 2019. Just recently they were not able to continue to refill my finasteride for my hair because the new NP there "was not comfortable" and was a "dermatologist issue" which is not true lol. So the clinic manager scheduled me here at the domain and burnet location because one of the providers was familiar and ok with refilling my finasteride. My appointment was today 02/28/23 and mannnn the minute I walked in the door nothing but smiles from the 2 young ladies sitting at the front desk wish I knew their names. They greeted me it didn't take to long it was a speedy process. The female MA with glasses called me to the back in a matter of 8 mins the MA her self was friendly, professional, all smiles!! When she drew my blood did not even feel a thing before she even stuck me she asked if I was ok with seeing my own blood or needed to lay down instead which I had no problem but that was very smart of her to ask!! The male provider who saw me today was kind, professional as well, explained to me he was ok refilling my medication and will do blood tests to make sure chemistry wasn't off. This place isn't ran like a responsible place of business..First off I had a appointment at 2:05, so I get there at 1:50 and no one is there, not to mention I called 2 hours earlier to confirm my appointment and they said it was at 2:30, I guess they forgot that they texts me the day before to tell me that the appointment was at 2:05. Secondly i gave them my insurance information the day before to see what was covered and what out of pocket expenses i would have, they told me I would get a call later that night or the next morning needless to say none of that happened. So when I get in and waste my time filling out the new patient registration form online, that's when she conveniently told me my out of pocket expense would be $190 dollars.. Initially, I was quite pleased with the experience. Quick visit. Professional healthcare provider. But over time, the front desk and billing departments soured the experience. Lack of information around final costs to me, pushing me for a co-pay to receive blood work results from a prior visit and threatening to turn me over to collections for $12 that's just over a month past due. And frankly, I'm not certain I should even have to pay it. But I paid to be done with them. They lost a patient. read more

I held back writing this review for several months now, but after my last interaction with this outfit I'm done. Beyond done. First of all, I've never had a health care service provider who I can never reach on the phone. This is a scary thought. Numerous calls go unanswered or to voicemail. Shocking. A prescription request wound up falling into a black hole because the prescriber left the company. Lab results? Never showed up on my chart, never emailed, so I set up a call with the prescriber to review the lab results. Guess what? They're trying to collect $68 from me for that. Prior to that I didn't even know that their "telesession" isn't an actual telesession like I've had with other providers, they just call you. Oh, sure, they called. It was a 15 minute "visit" before I had a business meeting, but they were more focused on collecting the money from me first eating into my 15 minutes. This place feels more focused on profit operation than on health care. In my 52 years I have never encountered anything this absurd in the healthcare provider field. I am beyond disappointed and now I have to look for an actual doctor - their providers are what's called "physician assistants". Avoid. read more

I had to get a flu shot here which my insurance covers. I had to make an appointment, which was fine, but I will say the staff seemed ambivalent at best. There was a charge for the flu shot, which seems unlikely because my insurance should cover it all, this was not disclosed up front, also I asked for a receipt to submit for my HRA, and have not received it. I would not go back or recommend going here. read more

Seemed like a decent clinic and the doctors are young/new but personable and appointments were kept ontime, I didn't have to wait much when I showed up. The problem came when I wanted to refill a prescription for a chronic condition. With past doctors they would refill it for a year until my next annual check up. With Men's Primary Care they only support 90-day prescriptions and require a another visit to approve a refill. Totally unnecessary, I monitor my symptoms well enough to know the medication improves my condition. They're just trying to farm a copay out of me. Another reminder of the problems of the profit/insurance based medicine. It seems like this is typical of where medicine is going in this country. Bernie's Medicare for All sounds a bit much, but he may be on to something. We need to do something different. read more
