I'd first like to say the food was very good. Actually it was delicious, especially the desserts. However, the service was extremely slow and what really pissed me off was their inability to seat us another night when it was cold, rainy, and we were getting back late from a day seeing the sights (Harry Potter Studios).
As a guest of the hotel I find it excruciating when they cannot accommodate guest. It was not busy in the restaurant, quite the opposite, painfully quiet. "You can order room service," isn't an appropriate response either.
As for the food, the strawberry mousse was delightful, the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, and the sourdough bread and salted butter was tasty. The chocolate mousse is great for those with dairy-egg-nut allergies, and the rhubarb vanilla tart was a great creation. The Waldorf salad is a centerpiece that every meal should have. read more
