Lively place in the heart of downtown Park Ridge! It was expensive for what it was, but the food was tasty. We had decent service and the place played loud music. They had cute decorations for Christmas, lots of TVs to watch games, and different types of seating including booths. The hot honey pizza was amazing but relatively expensive- a large fed 4 people with other appetizers. The cheese curds were delicious. Overall, would recommend a stop if you're in the area!

An unlikely mealtime hero. I was with a couple friends in the area and we felt the call of hunger. We just so happened to come across this fine little joint in our endeavors, and it was the just the kind of place we were looking for. Even though it was early evening/ late afternoon, there was already some groups hanging out and enjoying the grub, so we knew we were in for something great. Our server was very friendly and welcoming (I can't remember his name, but he was amazing). It really felt like a place I would to actually hang at, and not just to get a bite. I order a root per usual, and I really really love that its served in a chilled mug. It those extra touches that really make it all worth it. I tried the curds as a starter, and they were certainly interesting to take it. The beer battered take on a classic was most certainly a unique approach. They were phenomenal though. The batter flavor made them a little more savory then the average curd. A risk worth taking, that's for sure! The marina and ranch pairings were also a hit. So many wonderful flavors. Now for the pie! This was my first time getting a taste of a "New Haven Style" pizza. I went with my usual boring but ever-faithful plain cheese. The cook of the homemade crust was well executed and had great taste. It wasn't crazy greasy either, and it filled me up pretty quickly. Absolute banger of a za'. An epic experience all around, will be back!

One of our favorite spots in Park Ridge. The best American pizza hands down. We had the Italian Beef pizza always with a side of ranch and it was delicious. Not greasy, crispy and truly the best. The salads are great as well. We had the beet salad and we have had the chopped salad and both delicious. Service is always fast. Lots of TVs to watch sports. The ambiance is the best. Such a good spot!

Have not been to Holt's for a while, because we've been cooking at home and going to places that we can count on consistency. Service is fine. I think the experienced people of yesterday year, meaning pre-Covid, have all moved on. I want to say that experience, especially with today's higher prices, is really what's needed, and most establishments such as. Holt's is lacking. As far as ambience, it's always been fairly loud inside. Which can be fun, but also it's hard to have a private conversation.

Holt's is a okay restaurant/bar. I came strictly for their cheese pizza since they claim they are New Haven style pizza! I had to come check it out. pizza was kinda okay nothing special at all sauce was kinda weak. I wouldn't call that New Haven style. I've been to CT and had pizza. Holts crust and dough falls very short compared to New Haven plus you need the right oven which they don't have. Peace in the city is more closer to CT pizza. Holt's service was really nonexistent. It took forever for a thin crust cheese pizza to come out!(40min) They have bunch of high school kids running around the restaurant running it. I wouldn't go out of my way or wait for a table more than five-ten minutes to sit down at Holt's.

We came here for dinner to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday over the weekend. There was ample parking available when we arrived but I imagine it can get very busy here during peak times. The inside was spacious and since we had a reservation, we were seated right away. The menu keeps it straightforward with apps, salads, and pizzas. I like that they offer a build your own option for the people that want to customize it. We ended up ordering the burrata basil and the hot honey pizza sans meat and our group enjoyed them. The crust was very tasty and I especially liked the fresh tomatoes they topped the basil pizza with. Def would like come back and try a build your own pizza.

Visited here 09/19/2024 - Thursday Night Football. Restaurant was busy with everyone grabbing happy hour, vibe was good, weather was perfect for the sliding doors to be opened and nice breeze coming in. Drinks: Some lime beer, it was different, it matched the refreshing breeze that was circulating the restaurant. Something different. Started out with the Meatball app, that was yummies! Remember to save the sauce for dipping later. Also went with Calamari+Shrimp+Chips app, thats a meal on its own! Everything was lightly fried, the Texas Pete hot sauce packets was a nice touch, the dipping sauce which may have been some tomato something that was good too! For mains, went with Salmon BLT sandwich and Kale+Bussels Sprout. Salmon was good, cant go wrong with anything that has BLT in it's name! The salad was really refreshing. Server Jessica, she was amazing, Drinks were never half empty, great recommendations on food, matched the vibe of the atmosphere!

Fry over load, I repeat, fry OVERLOAD. The service was excellent as our server, Gracie made sure to check on us throughout our time there. Super sweet, super attentive. It was PACKED on a Saturday evening after 5pm. Friendly staff. Swanky atmosphere and clean establishment. A few gripes. WAY too many fries. Didn't have many side options for the burrata and the burger we got also came with fries. Too much!Also..extremely expensive! We ordered calamari appetizer that ALSO came with fries. We also ordered the avocado & burrata bread and the house burger. Both were excellent and probably the BEST burrata I've had in quite sometime. The burger was buttery and melted in your mouth. Overall? Great food great service just a tad too much on the chips and the bill.

"Pepper and Egg Sandwich", only this place doesn't know that that's all that goes into one of these.

I ordered a pepper and egg sandwich. Apparently they don't know the difference between peppers and onions. No indication on their online ordering that their pepper and egg sandwich includes onions. How you screw up this sandwich is beyond me. The ingredients of the sandwich, all of them, are listed in the sandwich's name. For the convenience of the restaurant, I'll list the ingredients below. 1. Bread 2. Egg 3. Green peppers 4. Nothing else. See 1-3.

I never had Detroit style pizza before- and theirs is amazing! Even non-GF eaters love it and there is no way you would guess it is GF. My newest favorite is a GF Detroit with the Verona toppings and instead of chicken I get sausage or bacon. AND another bonus is that it re-heats equally well in the microwave or the regular oven.....even the 2nd or 3rd day after you get it! Unheard of, for any kind of pizza!! Their order takers and delivery folks are great- and the prices sre more than fair.

My absolute favorite was the Cavatelli Vodka. I'm a sucker for good vodka pasta and this one was creamy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in the suburbs. The pizza was also really solid with a crispy crust, and I love that they offer several different crust options to switch it up next time. To end the meal, I had fried dough topped with Nutella and it was the perfect sweet bite fresh, warm, and so tasty. The service here really stood out too. My server was kind and attentive, and I even got to meet Sarah, one of the owners, who was so welcoming and friendly. The whole team made the place feel warm and inviting. They have multiple locations, but the Park Ridge one has a great atmosphere and even a cute patio for nicer weather. It does get busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Great spot for pasta, pizza, and a cozy meal.

We were a little surprised when nothing was done for it, which isn't a big deal, but I'll be honest it was disappointing since we did come specifically to celebrate and had talked about it w our server. 3/5 Arancini - Very salty. None of us really enjoyed them because of that. They also came out lukewarm instead of hot. Would have been excellent if it was less salty and came out hot and crispy. 5/5 Fig & Mushroom (subbed for prosciutto) - The menu doesn't specify how the fig is served. Turned out to be fig jam rather than fresh fig, which wasn't what we expected. A little too sweet for me but overall still very much enjoyed it. Their pizza was cooked perfectly with enough toppings and cheese. Very good pizza! 5/5 Braised Short Rib + Polenta - so good! The short rib was excellent, just slightly salty. The polenta was perfect, and it came with a generous portion of wild mushrooms. 2/5 White Wine Cake (recommended as "unique") by our server - This was the most disappointing meal item. Our waitress told us it was special, but it was very bland and didn't match the description or image on their website. Their website showed a cake with a large scoop of ice cream on top, fair amount of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Ours came with maybe a quarter of the size of that ice cream scoop, a little teaspoon dollop of whipped cream that you eat in one bite and the raspberry sauce was a tiny smear on bottom for decor but there wasn't enough to actually eat it. The cake itself was moist but lacked flavor. It took a really long time to come out, we thought perhaps they forgot, then forgetting we were celebrating a birthday on top of that was disappointing. Atmosphere - Beautiful space, very well done. The only issue is how close the tables are, you can't pull your chair back without hitting someone, and getting to the bathroom requires asking others to move because of how tight the layout is. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would return. While there were a few dishes we wouldn't order again, and others we would. Would love to try the wild mushroom pizza next time! The only thing was that since we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't end up doing that, the night felt a little less special than we had expected--but still a nice experience overall.

I came to meet some folks and we sat at the bar. They have an extensive beverage program here, including mocktails, and that's what I settled on. I got one called Strawberry-Basil something, and it was so good. The strawberry-basil shrub was a key ingredient, and I don't get to a lot of places that use a shrub in their drinks. There was definitely a STRONG vinegar taste but for me, that was great. I also ordered a pasta dish, orecchiette and sausage with peas and a sweet, creamy sauce. Orecchiette and sausage are such a classic combo and I hadn't had this sauce before; it was a pleasant dish and was perfectly al dente. Service was good for the bar area. There's parking around, both in the lot right outside and the public parking lot below. And then of course there's the lots by the library and whatnot, so you should be able to find something.

I'm pleased to say that Dino's 50/50 (pep/easy garlic) thin crust was supremely delicious. Sauce, cheese, and crust texture came together with perfect oven timing, neither undercooked or burnt. One important note that supersedes this restaurant and applies to everyone I've patronized in the Jeff-park area. 9/10 thin crust pizza orders come tavern style, whether it's advertised or not. The ingredients cover the entire pizza, there is little to no crust. I may be a traditionalist, but I cherish my pizza crust- there should be at least an inch from the edge and it's absurd to require a special instruction note upon ordering. Many locations have insisted that the onus is mine, and to take responsibility for my crust or suffer the cheesy consequences. Some require the specific length, 1-1/2" space, so it's a well noted, crystal clear, directive. With that being said, Dinos has made my list of "favorite pizza with crust caveats" but I'm looking forward to the next order.

We came for the pizza, and it wasn't bad. We got a thin crust sausage, and the sausage was great. Thin crust isn't really my jam, though, and cracker crust especially. The crust was a little bland for my tastes in addition to being a cracker thin pizza. The place was really noisy, which was good in that our kids couldn't possibly bother anyone but bad because I could barely hear the woman sitting across from me when she talked, let alone a woman a couple seats down. Having to shout to be heard isn't really pleasant for me. But it was a busy night, being near the holidays, so maybe that's atypical? Then again, the room in which you enter is much smaller and quieter, so it may just be that it would have been loud regardless. Parking is practically nonexistent. There seems to be a small parking lot just west of the building, but it has maybe 10 parking spots. It also was a really tight lot; I drove through and there seemed to be just enough space to do that. On the side street to the east it's permit parking only so we almost had to skip joining the others but got lucky in finding a spot just before calling it quits.
