I saw this pizza place on one of my social media platforms. Around the Holiday Season they turn this place into A Home Alone Theme Pop Up. Better known as Little Nero's. The decor was impressive and well decorated with Home Alone decor. Several Tv's that were playing the Home Alone Movie and sports. This place was packed jammed pack. The waiting time was up to an hour just to be seated. I placed my order to go. The young man at the door taking the reservations was nice and attentive. He gave me a chair to seat while I waited on my pizza. The other young lady offered me complimentary pop. Even though I wasn't able to get a table to dine inside. I'm happy that I was able to come and experience the atmosphere. I was surprised that the pizza was actually delicious. read more

They did not have their act together at ALL regarding their Christmas popup. We got on the waiting list and were told it would be two hours. Came back and were told it would still be another 45 minutes! Noooope. Other places I have been for this sort of thing have slots where you have to be in and out in a certain amount of time to keep the line moving. They need to do something similar because a nearly 3 hour wait is crazy. read more

My wife is lactose-intolerant and when I did a search for lactose-free pizza, the first result was Easy Street! We hadn't ordered from this place since it was Perry's but this was worth a try. And it was terrific! My only caution is that their on-line ordering app gives an approximate delivery time and it was WAYYY off. So our pizza came 30 minutes sooner than we expected. A minor bug. We went with a group of people for the home alone pop up and my first time there . We had rsvp at 5 We got seated at 530 which I get it they where busy they put us by bar and the drunk people kept hitting our chairs all night. The food was good but it is too small in there. My wife and I recently tried Easy Street (the Portage Park location on Central) after reading that they can make pizza with dairy free cheese. I have become lactose intolerant as I have become older, and I really miss good pizza. We had a large pizza with the lactose free cheese, regular sausage and green peppers. It was really very good. My wife, who is Italian and kind of a cheese snob (love you, sweetie! ) thought that the cheese was good and enjoyed the taste and texture. Yay, I can have pizza again! Ok my people this place was good a bit pricy for pizza but good. So I wanted to say a TAHNK YOU very much to who ever let us sit down to eat today because they had a private party of friends and family so it was closed to the public which we didn't know upon arrival. So I said ok can we order to go they said yes then when I was about to order they said we can actually sit you I was like oh ok that's very nice of them. They didn't have to do that but for that I'm very great full for sure. Great costumer service clean place good atmosphere and of course the home alone theme was great. Just an updated review! I have no idea why I gave this place 4 stars, it's the best pizza we have in this area and we continuously visit on a weekly basis. Service is always top notch, outdoor seating is available and this place is always bustling with people which tells itself. We ordered the July pizza of the month - Chicago hotdog and surprisingly it was actually fire!! No red sauce and it definitely tastes like a Chicago hotdog. So have not been to this location basically since they opened. It's a decent spot in park ridge near Cumberland away from the downtown Park Ridge. I would say the pizza is so so and had no flavor - maybe needed more sauce or because they had a private party in the restaurant - who knows The server was good and the staff was nice and attentive. The Buffalo wings are breaded so if your used to non breaded wings just know. The Cesar salad is huge and good. We had the popcorn chicken and that was decent. Overall was ok but there are better pizza places in the neighborhood - this place was good for the ambiance- Also note that when you get your check there is a credit card charge automatically on the bill- it's before tax so they actually tax you on the credit card service charge as well . Aesthetically, pleasing! What stuck out to me the most was how fresh and hot the food was . I feel like some restaurants let things sit there until all food is ready and at least one dish comes cold. Yesterday was my birthday so we took our pizzas to go but the atmosphere was super fun and the decorations were great!!! They made it pretty effortless to order and pick up and everyone we encountered was super nice and very accommodating especially for his busy as they were. They're very versatile offering thin crust pan and deep dish pizza . I chose the pan style pizza which was delicious. My only real complaint was that my pizza was pretty burned on the edges and the bottom which is the only reason they did not get five stars. If you're looking for a good Hidden Gem in the pizza world of Chicago and the surrounding area definitely don't hesitate to give these guys a try! read more

This place has been on my radar for a while. It's always super crowded (didn't mean the food is good) and they partner with my kid's school to do fundraisers. I finally went there last night. And... I'm good. No need to go again. I just don't get it. Who cares if they do a Home Alone themed motif during the holidays? If you live in Park Ridge and you like this place, good for you. This place was the old Perry's that was here for years. The way they redid the restaurant makes it look more modern and spacious, especially with open doors/windows in the front. Server was awesome - it wasn't very busy the night we came so she was extremely attentive and kept checking in. I got the bbq wings and fries and I think my favorite part was honestly the fries. They had a bunch of flavor and were perfectly crispy. While I enjoyed the flavor of the wings, I wasn't really fond of the texture. It's almost like they were overly fried and didn't have a ton of meat on them so it was just crunchy. I also didn't like the ranch sauce; to me it tasted like bleu cheese so I had my friend taste it and she also felt like it had a hint of bleu cheese to it. I asked for a second cup just to see and that one tasted similar so I didn't really touch it. The server says the ranch is homemade so kudos on that but just wasn't giving ranch flavor. Tried the thin crust pizza here and thought it was alright. The meats didn't do much in terms of flavor to stand out, though the amount of toppings was fairly generous. The crust wasn't really greasy, but it really didn't have much flavor and was a little overdone in parts. The cheese amount was pretty generous and sauce was a pretty standard and indistinct. The 18 inch did a pretty good job of feeding about a half dozen people though. read more

Charge more and make them bigger - they'll be infinitely better. Only ordered our salad to "be good"! Chopped salad ($13) was small, like a lunch size serving. We added grilled chicken ($4) and it had some spicy seasoning on it - why? It's a chopped salad with grilled chicken. No where in Chicagoland do you get spicy seasoned grilled chicken with a chopped salad! (I'll stick with Sonny's Express chopped - it's huge!) Been there several times and liked it. They have an upcharge for credit cards, so I use cash. They round up every time when providing change. Didn't make a deal out of it, but then heard a group of people in an Edison Park bar having a conversation about this very thing, and saying they were never going back because of it. Same thing happened again, and so I approached the bartender in the Oriole's jersey to calmly and discreetly tip him off. He responded, "sometimes we round up, and sometimes we round down." Then he went to his till and grabbed a dollar, put it on the bar and said, "I would rather give you a dollar than be lectured." Wow! I thought I was doing him a favor, but clearly not the case. We went to Easy Street for a great pizza. We have been regulars there for years. They know us when we walk in. However, this experience was a nightmare. The restaurant was taken over by a bunch of kids and some parents. The screaming and yelling was so bad we couldn't hear each other talk. Servers apologized to us for the noise. This place was utter chaos with management doing nothing. There were kids walking around everywhere. Several girls made a pyramid with wait staff cheering them on. Then they fell to the floor. Easy Street Pizza has a variety of items. I decided to get a build your own pizza with non-dairy cheese. I was pleasantly surprised they had vegan options from cheese to toppings. I chose a 12 inch pizza with mushrooms, vegan sausage, vegan pepperoni, vegan cheese and spinach. The pizza was good and pretty big for just one person. Next time I would would choose either sausage or pepperoni. Personally it was too much for me. I prefer to taste more the veggies on my pizza. Ordered a large pizza with topping and I have to say I was very disappointed. I've ordered from here multiple times and have been happy, but this last time it was very disappointing. First the crust was super thin.. like paper thin. The sauce also changed and tasted like cheap tomato sauce. There was also very little cheese on there. Been coming here since they opened this location we are BIG fans of the pizza. Do want to point out tonight and our experience. We had ordered online picked it up and got home and realized our pizza was wrong and had mushrooms on it I called and immediately they were very nice about it said they would happily make me a new one and deliver it or I could pick it up. I opted to pick it up - wasn't far for me and mistakes happen. When I picked up the new pizza they once again were super nice about it and doubled checked the pizza was correct with me before I walked out the door. Mistakes happen trust me I get it, but how a restaurant handles that really shows and was happy to see they handled it gracefully! I loved Perry's, but Easy Street has breathed new life into this storefront restaurant and I'm not looking back. Along with Triple Scoop'd, South Park is becoming a revitalized area for dining. But let's get back to Easy Street. The smallish menu is not a problem, because there are so many good choices. The namesake pizza is delightful. The pizza roll appetizers are tasty. The salads are large and fresh. The chicken finger poppers are a surprising highlight. There's good beer on tap and the fried cauliflower wrap (yeah you read that correctly) is simply out of this world. Just trust me. I never thought I would be regularly ordering a wrap from a pizza place when pizza is one of my main food groups, but here we are. Also, the fries are a new entry in the Park Ridge fries wars among all the new eateries. So good. Order an extra side of fries for the table when you get pizza. Finally, the owners seem awesome. They gave me the wrong dressing on my takeout salad order, so I called and came back to get a replacement with no problem. When I got home, I found they had included a $15 gift certificate in my bag. That's the sign of a place that cares about keeping its customers happy. I wish they had more space, since the dining room is a little cramped and loud, but I wouldn't trade it for having this place in the neighborhood. read more

We've tried takeout from Easy Street twice now. We're not going back. The first time, we tried their deep-dish. Mostly bread, not a lot of flavor... We thought, "well maybe they're more of a thin-crust place". Tried the thin-crust last night. Nope... In general, the pizza was tasteless. I've never had to put salt on a pizza before, it was that flavorless. The sauce had no flavor (and we got extra sauce), the toppings (sausage, bacon, garlic, onion) had no flavor, the cracker crust had no flavor. On top of that, the pizza looked like it was assembled by an ex-burger joint employee - all the toppings were clumped together in just a couple of places. Also had a Cesar salad... Pretty mediocre too. Seemed like the chopped romaine was out of a box - edges of pieces were starting to turn brown. Dressing was good though. The old Perry's was pretty good. Great deep-dish. My family and I have now been to all 3 Easy Street locations. We LOVE the thin crust pizza, French fries, cheese curds, draft beer selection, and the Mac and cheese. Man- the thin crust pizza here is crispy, perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients- perfection. This new location doesn't disappoint. We loved our server as well! We'll be back!!!!! read more
