I can't believe there aren't more reviews about this amazing farmers market. Granted, it's not as…read morebig as other FM's but you can find a lot of great gems here, we left loaded with goodies. I counted at least 4 stalls selling different kinds of produce, one of them I bought heirloom apples from where the outside looked like a granny smith, but the inside was pink; super cool and delicious! Also, ended up buying a bottle of bourbon from the Berkshire distillery stall to give as a gift so this is especially convenient if you're from out of town and want to give friends and family local goods. I think the thing we were most impressed with is that there were two stalls offering handspun alpaca yarn. One of the stalls had a flyer with details about what kind of alpaca breed the yarn is from and where the farm is located. (see pic) I thought that made the shopping experience extra special especially as someone who crochet's and is interested in where the yarn comes from. Another interesting item we bought were heirloom garlic bulbs that were bright purple. They're little but one clove has the potency of like 10 garlic cloves; really cool find! Also bought local made soap, farm fresh eggs, and baked goods. Again, even though it's not a very large farmers market, I consider this to be one of the best I've visited; would absolutely make a trip out here again.

I love surprises. And this little town has a fabulous farmers market! It's open and airy with lots…read moreof selection and live music. I was able to find lots to eat even though I'm gluten free and dairy free. I ate and tasted my way through. It's harvest time, but it had a ton of beautiful local produce. So check it out!

Boehm Farm has been off the radar of people in the Capital Region for far too long. But I heard the…read moreplace had excellent apple cider donuts, and I had to check them out for myself. Wow. Okay, these were seriously good. When I showed up around 10:30 on a recent Saturday morning, the air smelled of freshly frying donuts. It's always a good sign. And while there were donuts on the counter, when I asked if I could get any hot donuts the clerk went into the back and pulled out some steaming hot specimens. That may not sound like such a big deal, but as we say in this part of the world, it's huge. Hot apple cider donuts are so much better than their room temperature version. Which isn't to say that just because a donut is hot, it will be good. I've had my share of hot and disappointing cider donuts too. The hot apple cider donuts at Boehm Farm were delightful. Perfect? No. But absolutely great. And if you're into exploring the farms and orchards in and around the Capital Region, it's definitely worth your time, as I would put this small, off the beaten path orchard, in the top third of the ones I've visited. Maybe even in the top quarter. More than anything, it makes me think. If Boehm Farm has been hiding in plain sight all these years, how many other excellent orchards remain to be discovered by those relatively recent arrivals to the region? Farms! We've got 'em. And you should visit and support as many of our regional growers as possible. Remember: no farms, no food. Plus, they are charming and magical places. Especially in the fall.

The apple cider donut stand was absolutely amazing. Theyre making them fresh right there! We got a couple fresh apples as well and they were phenomenal. Service was nice and they're busy! We had fun plucking zennias ($.50 each) and wanted to see the sunflowers but did not get a chance to since we saw lightning. Within ten minutes of seeing lightning, a heavy thunderstorm began, which we waited out in the cidery, which is in a large barn. There were three bathrooms and a shared sink. There were also lots of snacks, ciders and spirits available for purchase. You could even buy crackers / cheeses / meats to make your own charcuterie board! It looked like there was a private event while we were there as well as another private event in the evening. I only tried the Kitchen Sink cider which I honestly didn't like at all, but at least the packaging was nice! I also have to give a shout out to the people working at the stand near the parking lot for giving me a free sunflower stem since I didn't get a chance to pick one!
