Loved the performance, hated the venue. This concert was very disorganized and the staff were rude and not knowledgeable at all. When we first arrived it was one staff checking VIP entry when it should have been more staff assisting. This one staff had to check the list, explain next steps and hand out merch. Our entry was starting at 5:30, for me to be 20th in line, I shouldn't have entered after 6pm. Too slow! Once in, there was so many metal detectors not being utilized because they were only letting in 3 at a time. They let you grab your tote and fill it with merch for VIP then checked the same bag.. it was counterproductive and would have made more sense to let us grab our merch after bag inspection. There had to be a more efficient way to conduct this. Once we got in, staff or vendors for merch and freebies were rude and dismissive and weren't knowledgeable about the process. Merch didn't go on sale until 7pm when GA were let in and should have been accessible to VIP as soon as they entered. Once in, I was stopped by a security guard with his hand in my face saying we weren't allowed in the floor until 7pm. I was asking for clarification and he immediately stopped talking to me and ignored me when I politely asked more questions. I walked away and sat on the side of steps. I had a woman come tell me that I couldn't sit on the floor or steps because it was a fire hazard, i understood but question why not have some seating if you're going to make us wait in the lobby for an hour. Once I got to the floor the view was amazing but hated the fact the bag checks didn't spot all the people sneaking in weed, because by the time the openers came on, the place was crowded with smoke clouds from all the weed. Security were very nice and considerate and cared about all the people passing out due to overheating over drinking. They handed out watered and had their eyes on the lookout . Exiting of course was chaotic but it may have helped to have a separate exit like they had a separate entry for VIP. All in all not sure if I'll return to this venue based on the way it was ran and organized.

Old school since 1940. I've been coming to this venue since the 80's and now I am back to see death metal band Deicide and other bands open up for Behemoth. The venue was packed and the show was great. The only drawback is that the stage is not high enough to clearly see the bands when you have a flat floor and you are standing in the back.

Depending on the act, you might find yourself at the end of a several block line even 2 hours before doors open

The Palladium is an icon in Hollywood. These days I struggle with standing room only venues, but with the Palladium, it just feels different. It doesn't bother me at all. Even if you are all the way against the barrier in the back, you feel close to the stage. There really is no bad spot in the entire venue. I've also had such a great time with there concert goers here. Everyone has always been so friendly and respectful, no matter what type of artist you're there to see. I will say, however, because this is a standing room only, the line outside can get long early. Especially for more popular artists. If you can manage to, get there early. And, if possible, maybe try to have someone drive you there instead of parking. There definitely are more parking options than when I was in college, but it's not cheap. And a lot of it doesn't open up until after business hours (which would keep you from getting in line too early). In all, the Palladium is one of those LA venues that needs to be on every person's checklist. It needs to be experienced at least once. The vibe is great, the sound is great, the whole experience is great. Well...standing out on the streets of Hollywood hours before the show isn't great, but you get the picture.

I've been to many venues across the country for all types of concerts and the Hollywood Palladium is at the top of my list. Just a beautiful venue, good security, good acoustics, clean bathrooms, quick bar service, good AC. Really can't think of anything bad to say about it! I bought parking ahead of time at a nearby garage and felt safe walking around the venue before and after the show. Would return here in a heartbeat!

It has been years since I've been here. Reviews that are 15+ years old don't seem to love it. We had a pretty great here seeming of Monsters & Men. Get there early and you are up front at the stage for general admission. Plenty of space if you want to grab some merch or food. Our move was to snag the on site parking. Then head to a local spot for some drinks and dinner first. We got to the line when it was wrapped around the building and were still great for space. Best decision was to grab a pony wall spot down low. Gave an elevated view and place to lean on while waiting. Sound was excellent. Liked how the venue lights worked with stage setups. Overall we enjoyed it. Worth a look for another concert down the road.

Recently came to see Artemas. For a small venue it's very organized and well staffed. The process of going through security went smoothly. The cue went quickly. Once indoors there's plenty of bars to buy refreshments and merch at. As the first floor is general admission standing room only it was kind of a mad dash to get a good spot. We were able to snag some spots right up at the barricade. The staff/security were very nice and even passed out water bottles through the night free of charge. The venue has plenty of bathrooms and all facilities were nice and clean. Really good experience. They do have a private parking lot but you need to purchase online ahead of time.

Been here a couple times and loved my experience each time! Came here for Odd Mob, October 12, 2024 and Hippie Sabotage, May 30th, 2025. Easy process for parking, there's plenty of lots around the venue and also when arriving at the venue, you go through their parking lot for the entrance instead of their front where the big sign is. It's a little confusing but you just walk to the left where there is a gate. Then there is light security and a ticket scanning area. Walking in, get your 21+ wristband and they have a long bar area right smack in your face. They also have a bar on the right down the hall. It's a small venue so it's easy to navigate. The bathrooms are upstairs for mens! Gets a bit funky on the stairs because people are going up and down haha. The stage area is in another room and there is so much open space. They have an upstairs for assigned seating and also a rooftop patio to relax, smoke or talk with friends. Not many people know of this because it's not insanely packed so if you're reading this, your welcome lol. Otherwise no issues here for both concerts.

View from the back (on the steps before you go onto the floor). JADE (2/2/26) was standing on the main stage.

I've been to the Hollywood Palladium many times over the last nearly 20 years. It's an iconic venue and I've seen many excellent shows there! Overall, it's not my favorite concert venue because the stage is too low and it's very hard to see the artist - especially in this day and age when people are holding their phones above their heads. It's important to me to be able to see, and I feel like raising the stage would be a simple solution. Putting this out there for consideration! The room is wide with two balcony sections on the sides. It feels to me like the first half of the floor of an arena. I think the sound is pretty decent and clear, but I'll caveat that I always wear earplugs. When the venue is full, it feels a bit overcrowded. This also impacts the ability to see the show. Either way, the crowd is usually very excited to be there and I haven't really had issues with audience etiquette around me (besides the phones above the heads). If you are at the very front by the stage, the front of the elevated areas surrounding the GA floor, or the front of the balcony, the views range from excellent to decent. I got a spot on the elevated section directly across from the stage behind the GA floor. When JADE was on the stage, I could only see above her waist, so I felt like I missed out on the choreography. When she was standing on the platform a few steps above the main stage, I could see above her knees and it was a bit better. I think I'm an average height (about 5'4.5"), and even with a couple more inches on my shoes, I can't see anything when I'm standing on the GA floor (the very front being the exception). I usually end up hanging back on the elevated sections in the back/sides, and even then it's generally a partial view of the artist. I've accepted this about the venue, so I find have found the spots where I can see the artist (fully or somewhat) and have a great time. Entry is generally efficient. They have one main line and then a few security/bag check stations that are a little bit spread out, which seems to help with crowd control. Then they check tickets at the door. For JADE on 2/2/26, a lot of people were sent PDF tickets after the venue changed from the Wiltern to the Palladium. We were sent to the box office, which only had 2 people, to get new tickets sent to our phones or printed. I was a little annoyed at this - this is possibly something they could have started sorting while people were waiting in line. I lost my place in the queue as I was waiting for this to resolve before I could go into the venue, which makes a big difference for a GA venue like the Palladium. But it only took about 5 minutes to resolve my issue once it was my turn. I saw two merch stands - one at the entrance and one on the inside on the opposite end of the entrance. The line gets long, but moves fast. There are multiple bar areas to get drinks throughout the venue. Restrooms are clean. There are a couple of them, and the wait isn't usually too long. Exit is super easy - there is minimal room for confusion. Parking options are available in abundance, and can be pre-booked through third parties. There is also some limited street parking if you go early or get lucky! Overall, it is an iconic venue that artists are excited to play, and the audiences are excited to be there. If being able to see is important to you and you are not especially tall, I recommend going early to grab a spot in either the front (first few "rows" is generally okay I think, as long as the person in front of you isn't 7' tall) or the front of the back/sides. The front of the side balconies are usually special seated areas that cost a bit more, but can be worth it if you want an unobstructed view of the performance.

The security crew on the rail

I've been going to concerts every month for close to 50 years. I've never seen a security crew as dialed in and talented as I did at this venue. We were on the rail for Slaughter to Prevail. The security crew was handing out water to thirsty people keeping their eye out, not only to make sure everybody was safe, but to make sure they were having a good time. I can't say enough good things about this crew.

Security was well-organized and a smooth process. The staff were friendly. The venue is spacious and people were respectful of other people's space. The sound was amazing and I enjoyed the venue's charm.

The Hollywood Palladium... I've been here so many times over the years. This is one of those venues where it still feels almost like a small club, but it's large enough to host some bigger shows. I wouldn't say the venue is perfect, but with the amount of memorable moments I've had here, I can't give it anything less a full five stars. You have the main floor near the stage which is in a pretty large room. There are stairs on both sides near the main entrances that lead up to the balconies, which are considered the private and VIP areas depending on the show. I've had friends that worked at Live Nation at some point and was the beneficiary of being able to watch shows from the second level. You don't have as good as a view, but it's really chill upstairs and don't have to worry about jockeying for position or getting bumped into constantly if that's one of your concerns. Just a really great place to see shows. I've seen concerts here that ranged from more raucous to the more intimate and serene. I've also seen a few comedy shows here as well. No more need to read on as I'm just gonna list some of my more memorable events below for posterity (and personal nostalgia) or just to give you an idea of the type of acts come here: - The Reflektors (which was secretly Arcade Fire - this was considered a small venue for them and the tickets sold out in seconds) - At The Drive In (got to catch them on the reunion tour - one of my favorite bands of my youth, haha) - LCD Soundsystem (on multiple occasions) - Nikki Glaser (fresh off her Tom Brady roast - part of the Netflix fest) - Brandi Carlile (amazing show and memorable because it was my last concert before the lockdown/ COVID pandemic) - other notable shows I really enjoyed: Cake, Bjork, etc. etc.

The Hollywood Palladium is good concert experience. Plenty of parking options around the venue (we paid $40). Security was efficient and moved quickly. A little disorganized on letting everyone on to the GA floor as they did not all open at the same time. One the guards opened before the others so that curtain all got to the stage first which caused the rest of us to make a fast dash to get places behind them. A little uncool. Plenty of bars (can of beer was $18). Great sound at the venue so shout out to the engineers. Kurt Vile was the opener. He had a good sound and cool vibe. Then the Pixies played. Ok, I heard that they had decided to do two different shows at each venue (but not before I got tix). We went to show one. It was a good show, but they essentially just played two entire albums and then a couple of their hits. Crowd did a couple mosh pits but not out of control. Huge thank you to the security at the front who passed out water to the folks near the front. They know that those people (including me) have been standing for hours and are hot and tired -- so thank you again. Overall good experience. But when you factor in the stellar customer service (a solid 10/10), it's easy to overlook the warmth and just enjoy the show. A solid venue for a night of music and memories!

Great venue for intimate concerts or events. Been here couple time and no matter where you're at, you're close to the artists for sure. From the outside looks, you wouldn't expect it to be very fine old decor (updated for sure), spacious areas, well keep, clean and well lights. They do have private parking but do turn into a security venue entrance....well organized. Staff are well trained and friendly, they do have several liquor & foods stalls and merchs stations throughout the venues and it's definitely make it easier to get drinks with short lines.

I got a balcony seat for a show, can I go to the pit still or would they know and not allow me?

Yes, you can still go to the floor.

What time do shows usually end?

I'm trying to buy tickets for a Vulpeck concert and are the concerts there standing only? Im not into standing concerts.

Yes, but there are a few tables upstairs but it depends on the performer.

I'm attending a concert here. Is the time 8pm on the ticket the start time or doors open time? How late will the concert start?

Great question - in most cases the time on the ticket is when the opening act or acts start - you have to research and see how many openers there are - the headliner generally never comes on earlier than 9pm or even later - hope this helps !

Is it cards only for the bar or do they take cash as well?

    They take cash

Is ADA seating easily available? If so, how many people can accompany me?

From my experience, it is one person. I told the security guard right when I got there. I, unfortunately, can't handle how hot it gets nor can I stand for too long. I go through treatment every three weeks so my stamina is pretty low these days.… Read more

    Can u wear hats?

What time do they stay open for an electronic concert? 2am? 3am?

Hello, thank you for reaching out! Generally, most of our electronic music events end at 2am.

When is the box office open?

Hi, thank you for reaching out! Currently, the box office is only open on show days, up to an hour before the listed door time for the show.

Strong drinks, dim lights, and the best new artists!…read more Its been almost 20 years since I first went to a Hotel Cafe, before they had the second stage (which is a great room), when they still had a parking structure in back. It was all a foreign concept to me. Booking three or four or five acts in one night, charging you admission only once based on which act you came in for and most of the time if you came to the first you could stay through the 5th, or as most did, they came to see who they intended to see and maybe saw some of the act that was after and then went out to Hollywood to get some eats with their friends. Hotel Cafe is going away in 2026, but it is not gone, they will just be moving from their iconic Hollywood location, that small room that barely held 150, a small stage in the corner, a few low tables and a bar in the back to a new location in Los Angeles. It is the place where the singer-songwriter movement of the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s hard launched a revival. It's like what the Troubadour was to the Laurel Canyon singers in the 1970s. Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Greg Laswell, Priscilla Ahn, Meiko, Cary Brothers and many others. Adele even played here before her first album released in the US. I saw Sara Bareilles here once and she left everyone in tears after her song and bolted out the back door. I went to the front of the house and her family were blowing out the last of the signed copies her tour posters for only $10 since it was the last show of her tour. I bought a few. I have come here to see a friend like Big Phony sing, and then exit into the back room/lobby and see Hollywood stars entering to see their friend who would be singing next. It's that kind of local spot. The sound was always great and the drinks were well crafted and strong. I recently saw Priscilla Ahn sing here again and it brought back memories of the first time I saw her here, when she only had a 5 track EP CD. When she sang Dream again this year, it felt like everything had come full circle, since that first CD released 20 years ago. I cannot wait to see what the new building looks like, but a huge part of me, like for everyone else that has been here, will miss that little room in the back of the alley, where young dreamers became singers, where singers became stars.

Glad we got there when they opened so we could snag seats. There were only about 25 seats with standing room behind. There is a bar. It was very dark inside. And the guitars were mixed TOO LOUD! But the concert was fabulous and ran for 3 hours.

I wasn't looking forward to this because I was exhausted,, but hubby bought tickets and it was a great and lively evening listening to Western Standard Time Ska. Their front act was a great start. Now, this area is pretty cool all around because they have random stores, bars, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Parking can be a bitch, but that's life telling you to get to your event a little early. After 9pm, I believe it's FREE. When I saw POPPY perform here years ago right after COVID, it was my first concert here and this place is dope because you're literally so damn close to the artist(s) you watch because the stage isn't too high. The acoustics, bass and all around sound here is NICE for a small, intimate venue. ALL of the workers I've met/interacted with were all so damn nice and helpful as much as they can. This place also has a nice restaurant inside from what I've seen and NEED to check out in the future. I was blessed to even hang out at their Green Room for a gig and it's just so damn cool to know that Dave Chappelle and others have been inside the same room before and after shows!

We got on the waitlist for billiards and were able to start playing immediately. It was $20 for one hour and we played for two hours. The drinks were wonderful, my friend and I shared a purple ube cocktail and a fresh lemony gin cocktail. I can't remember what they were called but they were so tasty that we ordered a second round. The live music also made everything so special. The performers were absolutely incredible. It was a little bit crowded in there, which would be fine if people didn't keep crowding standing around where they shouldn't be. Last call for drinks was 1:30am, and I think last call for food was 12:30am. At 1:30 we were told to move away from the games area and go upstairs. Everythung was great until I heard a bartender say that me and my friend were overstaying our welcome ... it was barely 1:45 and we were finishing our drinks. That was rude... After that we were told we still had 5mins. I guess we'll leave early next time. It was just rude to see bartenders point at us and loudly say we weren't welcome ...

Everyone who knows me knows I am a huge music fan and enjoy all genres: If a song, lyric,…read moreperformer or arrangement resonates with me, it doesn't matter who the messenger is. I was lucky enough to see one of my favorite rappers, Lupe Fiasco at the Wiltern on Saturday night for the 20th year anniversary of Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor, his debut, highly acclaimed album. Lupe Fiasco is a smart, incredible writer - his lyrics are filled with social critiques, observations of systematic struggles and the intricate rhyme schemes/detailed storytelling is what draws me to his music. I sat in the first row of the Mezzanine and had a great view of the stage. The theater holds (maybe) 2,000 people, there's not a bad seat in the house. When I bought my ticket, I was asked if I wanted to include parking as part of the purchase and I was going to until I saw the price was $70 dollars - what?! For parking? I decided against it, did my research and took the D line, got off at the Wilshire/Western stop and crossed the street to the Wiltern. Best part was I paid $1.75 total roundtrip (parking was free at the station). Not only was it was inexpensive, it was convenient and I didn't have to deal with traffic or parking. I didn't have any issues getting in, staff and security were friendly and efficient. It was a good crowd, a good mix of ages, some people took their young children, good male/female ratio, everyone behaved and I enjoyed seeing the super fans singing along - I sang my lungs out to Hurt Me Soul, Sunshine and He Say She Say. The show concluded with Touch the Sky and the crowd went crazy. Leaving the Wiltern was easy. While I was standing on the corner waiting to cross the street to the train, someone pulled at my shirt, and it was the Best Kid in the World (aka Nephew No. 1). He was shocked to see me there, that I was at the show by myself, came on the train and had no idea I was a big Lupe fan. We took a selfie under the marquee, I crossed the street, disappeared under the street back to train platform and headed home. There were so many other concert goers on the train headed to the Westside that I felt safe taking the train and making the transfer to the E line at 7th Street stop to my stop (La Cienega /Jefferson). My ONLY complaint of the night was the sound. At first, I thought it was me because I could barely understand what he was saying, but the crowd start yelling for him to turn up the mic. Lupe stopped the show, conferred with his sound people and reperformed two songs. The Wiltern opened in 1931 and is a great, intimate venue to see a live performance. The architecture at this iconic theater has been preserved and I love the unique art deco ceilings/lighting fixtures and the tiled water fountains. I don't like that the seats were pulled from the main floor during the remodel and its first come, first serve, standing room only. I can't do that - grandma needs a seat. Now that I know how easy it is to get to the Wiltern on the D line, I'll be checking the Wiltern schedule more regularly.

Didn't get any drinks, but the ID check to get the 21+ drink wristband was efficient and quick since it was done outside the venue while we were waiting for security check. Venue was strict on the GA standing area, which I'm super grateful for since I'm always worried for the safety of GA type of events. Parking is usually the biggest issue when it comes to most things in Los Angeles. We didn't come early, so we weren't able to find decent street parking. We went to two of the listed parking lot on their website: one was closed and the one other didn't allow 30+ minutes parking. We ended up parking at the structure connected with multiple restaurants: Chipotle, Einstein Bros. The parking was straight forward for the most part. Scan QR code and follow the directions. It was reasonably priced as well, you just have to remember to end the parking time so you won't overcharged.

Concert was supposed to start at 9 with entrance entry being at 8pm. Long wait time for security to check everyone. This was the most intense security check ever. Like going through the TSA lol. They had so many rules. One being no gum. I was like seriously so not cool as I had a bunch of packs in my purse. Just had hubby take my purse back to car as I didn't want to throw away anything. Also hated that they had no smoking area for ganja as other venues do when hosting reggae gigs. We finally make it in the venue. Decided to grab a few brews. For 2 tall modelo cans 18 bucks a pop. That's the most expensive beer I've ever paid for from a can. So 40.41 for 2 beers. Absolute freaking hwy robbery. Didn't go back as at that price I could buy a 24 pack at the store lol. Plus the dude working wasn't friendly at all. On to the inside of the venue. Concert was supposed to start at 9pm. They did have a DJ but he really didn't hype us up before the main event. Didn't like the setup not inviting at all. Small dance floor & it got way too cramped. Unfortunately the show didn't end up starting until 9:35 & was done around 11.20. Love Protoje and all the music was awesome but this was one of the worst concerts. Felt very ripped off. Most definitely won't be returning or recommending. Hard pass!
