Responsible breeders will breed on the first season following the females second birthday, then wait at least until two more seasons have completely past before breeding her again. She will be bred no more than 2 or 3 times in her lifetime. If you are breeding to preserve and IMPROVE the breed, then each generation should be a better specimen of the breed than the last, and there is no need to continue breeding the same female if you have a superior specimen. They are spayed and treated solely as beloved pets. I then had heartland kennels, Vivki, give it a try and she took her in the back, came out in 3 minutes and said there you go! I said to her, what do you have back there a mallet?
