Responsible breeders will breed on the first season following the females second birthday, then wait at least until two more seasons have completely past before breeding her again. If you are breeding to preserve and IMPROVE the breed, then each generation should be a better specimen of the breed than the last, and there is no need to continue breeding the same female if you have a superior specimen. They are spayed and treated solely as beloved pets.
